Staying at hotel for two nights, so booked for last night. Napier’s (aka the Green Room as old signage still in place) has a nice ambience and lovely view over gardens to Thames. Staff very friendly and helpful. Underwhelmed by food offerings and quite disappointed by main course chosen… crab linguine which would really have benefited from some sweet white crab meat rather than being drowned in gritty brown crab meat. Slightly redeemed by a nice cheese board with good cheese choice. Mentioned to waiter who kindly passed on our observations but didn’t come back with any comments. £75 for two main courses, one cheese board and a bottle of Viognier!

The dining room is quite large so not particularly intimate for couples , acoustics are hard and the music quite loud and a rather strange mix . The other bizarre thing is that the waiting staff appear to have to go to the bar for each drink ( other than bottles of wine) which is some way away. So they are constantly in and out. Food was nicely presented, quite rapid and our waitress pleasant .

Lovely meal, only criticism is the staff were ‘too attentive’ possibly because it was very quiet. Food was good value, plenty of choice, very nicely presented. Will definitely be going again.

Quality food and not too bad price wise. Cassandra was excellent with regards to customer service. The other staff were very polite and friendly but could have been a little more attentive (20 minutes wait for dessert!) but overall we enjoyed it!

Cocktails were highly overpriced and poor quality......the expresso martinis were awful and half full......for £11, a total rip off. The pulled pork was really dry and we decided to give dessert a miss as nothing seemed to be up to scratch. We decided to eat out for the remainder of the break.

Wonderful food but very slow service and understaffed.
