Nasprías is the name of the land where our family has had its vineyard in Sardinia for almost a century. It is a name that we relate to family and traditions, values which are at the core of our food: pizza al taglio, croissants, cakes and much more. We use real Sardinian ingredients together with the freshest local produce sourced from right here in the Costwolds. We don’t buy pre-made or frozen doughs, we source the best flour and yeast and let our doughs raise for 24-48 hours, just like our families did in the past; the way it should be done.
Nasprías tips its hat to my Sardinian roots and also serves Illy coffee, the best that Italy has to offer made to Illy’s exacting high standards alongside other drinks that you can find in any Italian bar.

I found Nasprias online after searching for restaurants near the accommodation we were staying at and chose it based on the menu and the location. The service was very good, lovely friendly staff. The food was excellent, really tasty and we appreciated being able to order pizza by the slice rather than a whole pizza because I would order a whole pizza normally, eat too much and then regret it! The cheeseboard to share was really yummy. If we were local we would be regulars.

Food was fantastic. However, it was near the end of the night and the staff were clearly trying to clean everything to get out the place as quickly as possible, whilst leaving us waiting for our bill for nearly half an hour after our desserts. Eventually I gave up and went to pay at the till and was asked to go sit down and wait to pay. I politely declined that and waited.

Adam, I'm sorry to see you were unhappy with your service. I am the owner along with my husband and I served you myself that evening. I assure you we weren't rushing to leave, I locked the door two hours after your table left. After I cleared your desserts you still had drinks remaining. I don't like to put bills on tables without being asked, it can come across as pushing people out, so I left you to finish your drinks. I'm sorry you felt ignored. We only have one point of sale so Natasha thought you might have preferred for her to come to you while she processed the payment for a table before you. As you said, you preferred to wait to pay at the bar. Again, we never want our customers to feels forgotten or ignored so for that I'm very sorry. We hope to see you again soon, Jess.

There is always a friendly welcome at nasprias. You feel like you have stepped into Sardinia on your doorstep. The food is always lovely and the drink selection covers all tastes. A friendly welcome is always also given to children and we love it there!!

This review is a little superfluous for me to write in all honesty as I am not a new customer to Nasprias - I’m here all the time. That should say enough really, but seeing as I’m given the opportunity to write another review for the place after making an online table booking, I will say that this is THE place to go! Sardinian style by the slice pizza is a USP given that pretty much everywhere else is doing Napolitano style pizza. I think most people have this style in their mind when they think pizza, but there is more to the art and craft of pizza making than that as you will learn with Nasprias. The Sardinian al Taglio style pizza gives you the option to mix and match different toppings, the slices are generous in size and you have the opportunity to have as much or as little as you like without being forced to buy an entire full size pizza. Of course, if you wish to eat this quantity, you can and it ends up being about the same price. The dough is different to your typical Napolitano style pizza, but in a great way, particularly as Piero (master pizza maker and restaurant owner) spends his life learning new ways to improve the dough by taking food pilgrimages to Italy and participating in courses with the masters with a certain degree of regularity. The result is that the pizza started out excellent and it just keeps getting better. In addition to pizza, salad starters, lovely garlic breads, olives etc are all available to have either as a starter or with the pizza, and of course the desserts, which are all made in house too, all of which are on a par with the pizza. There is a great variety of drinks too, all of which are to a very high standard. There is certainly a drink for everyone. The staff are all the best, and of course Piero and Jessie (couple and business owners) will always receive you with courtesy, friendliness, humour and interesting conversation. They allow their staff to do the same. This place is an asset to Cheltenham - long live Nasprias!

I recently visited Nasprias restaurant based on recommendations that it was a "hidden gem." Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired, particularly when it came to the quality of the food. Firstly, I ordered a pizza which turned out to be a disappointment. It arrived at my table burnt, which significantly affected the taste and overall enjoyment. Adding to my disappointment was the unusual method of cutting the pizza with scissors. This approach not only seemed unprofessional but also impacted the overall presentation of the dish. It made the pizza appear hastily prepared and lacked the attention to detail one would expect in a restaurant. While Nasprias may have earned the label of a "hidden gem" from some, my visit left me questioning that distinction. The low standard of the food, highlighted by the burnt and unappetizing pizza, detracted from any positive aspects the restaurant might have had. Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️ (2 out of 5 stars)

Dear Marlena As owners of Nasprias we're very sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations. We try to prevent these things from happening by checking back on the table as we did to yours. But while we understand that our pizza won't please everyone we wonder on what grounds that cutting pizzas with scissors is unprofessional. This technique is used all around the world for pizza romana such as ours. You could have investigated on line or simply asked instead of calling us unprofessional.
