Had a get together with some pals and thought we’d try something new. Expensive but would definitely go again when we can all afford to! Presentation was lovely, definitely an instagramable place! If I had to be picky I would say that their menus would benefit from having images, as I definitely would’ve been more adventurous.
We really enjoyed Navana, lovely cocktails, amazing food and really guided friendly service. We will definitely return.
Top class restaurant, very friendly welcome and service, really nice atmosphere, and the food was so good that we ordered another main dish to share between us as a dessert- a bit wierd sounding perhaps but the black cod main dish that I ordered was so good that my gf asked if we could share one instead of a traditional dessert and it was her birthday so we did :-)
Decentttttttt, very good food would defo recommend
Very good, very tasty Sushi and Asian inspired food. Good value too. Service was top notch too. Would highly recommend to anyone that appreciates good Sushi.
Decent sushi spoiled by average service and the use of a disgusting soy sauce so thick and salty that you couldn't even taste the wasabi through it. Ruined some lovely fish and put us off the rest of our food. At the price they charge, getting the basics wrong is far from what we expected!
I do really enjoy going to Navana as the quality of the food is always good and it’s a diverse menu. Whenever I have been it has been for a lunch and have never found it to be very busy so it’s typically quiet and relaxing.
The area they fall down on is their service, it is very slow and if you were wanting to be in and out quickly this is probably not the place to go. They can also make mistakes which is a bit frustrating but they always make up for these by removing items from the bill or offering alternatives at the same price.
If you’re pretty laid back, don’t mind taking your time for a meal and enjoy Japanese food then it’s worth a visit. In terms of cost I think it is fair, the food they make takes skill and certain ingredients and these cost.
Not up to usual standard and as a regular was quite disappointed
Lovely evening for our 15th wedding anniversary. My wife is gluten free and waitress was attentive and went to enquire about certain dishes.
Has the potential to be good but the food is london prices and no where near the quality you’d expect. ordered the black cod.... tasteless and was definitely not worth £35. Sushi was very good but mains poor
We vivisted Navana for lunch and were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. There were a variety of menus including vegan and a reasonable set menu. All the dishes were freshshly prepared and full of flavour. We were given the choice of using chopsticks or knives and forks. The waitress was very attentive and gave us suffiicent time inbetween courses. All courses were big enough to share including the nibbles and starters. I would highly recommend Navana for a special but reasonable lunch we all had a really delicious lunch.
Great bottomless brunch!
Service was fantastic and food lovely!
Would 100% recommend and will be back soon :)
Lovely food, poor service, from staff who were lovely but seemed so unclear the menu and what was served.
The food was v good and the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Looking forward to going back!
Lovely food, wonderful staff and very relaxing evening
Cocktail were good but slow to arrive,
Overall ambience very essex, for a classy looking restaurant, there was clearly no eye for detail
Lovely will definitely be coming back! Have already recommended to friends.
The food and service were incredible. Fantastic value for money also - given the size of the plates presented to us - well worth visiting this restaurant - wonderful experience.
Fantastic restaurant, I can’t recommend it enough. Definitely deserves for recognition. One of the best restaurants in Essex for me personally.
Always great service and delicious food at this lovely restaurant.
Lovely food! Not much atmosphere but we ate early..
We went here for husbands birthday quite early at 7pm. We're made very welcome by lovely blonde waitress who gave us lots of info on food and recommendations. She was attentive all night albeit quiet apart from some noisy women celebrating but were harmless. I woukd think she would be attentive even if it was busy though. All food served up very appealingly and very delicious. Set meal looked nice and reasonable but we chose from main menu which can be expensive depending on choice but not really more expensive than a lot of other local restaurants. My spicy baby chicken was delicious and my husbands salt marsh lamb was lovely too. Side orders a reasonable price and generous portions. Will be coming back. I reckon when The Grand Hotel is finally refurbished it will be a nicer lookout and will pull more customers in.
As our friend was down we knew that she'd love the vibe and food at this lovely restaurant, and we weren't wrong.
Sunday evening, excellent food and service, with two for one cocktails.
Dissapointing experience. Went for a birthday and food was very average, sushi wasn’t that fresh, food had no flavour, poured our own wine. The staff were trying some food out so maybe that’s why ours suffered, not acceptable for £100!
Good food music was a bit fast like a restaurant chain other than a relaxing diner
But over all very good would recommend
I booked this restaurant for our 2nd wedding anniversary, being a Tuesday night we didn't want to travel too far so as to enjoy a few drinks over a meal so inset about scouring the reviews of all the good local establishments. Navana kept coming up and we had heard some good things about it...good turned out to be an understatement! Locally there is none better and I would say venture into London and you'll still be hard pressed to find food, service, cocktails and ambience without paying the highest prices.
Several complimentary dishes set the tone of the visually stunning food served here. Each and every dish absolutely beautiful - and beautifully crafted. One of several highlights was the open mushroom spring rolls with a truffle mayonnaise - delicious.
The cocktails were all made with a knowing finesse with some presented very inventively...it all added to the unique dining experience.
The service was attentive and servers knowledgeable.
In short I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Worth traveling for and parking in the evening isn't a problem.
Great menu, and very attentive staff. Good cocktails , great ambience. Really enjoyed a chilled Saturday night dinner
Eveything was perfect, the waitress, the food... perfect dining experience
Food ok but nothing special not a patch on other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in London ( Zuma roka and nobu) not worth the high cost staff very poorly trained I won’t be returning for another visit
Food was outstanding, excellent service. Will definitely be back and would recommend.
We arrived late (for the booking) due to roadworks. On finding the Restaurant we were shocked to find it was adjacent to a construction site with boarding and graffiti, worlds apart from the magnificance of the Navana. We chose our table for two. The staff were really very helpful and professional. We ordered bento boxes, coke, side dish of seaweed salad and Japanese tea.
The food presentation was outstanding, just beautiful. The flavours were amazing, hard to beat anywhere. The music however was not - it nearly spoilt the whoe experience.
Overall -Great outing - Great Restaurant. Thank you so much. We will be back. adam and beryl
Delicious lunch in lovely surroundings with attentive but not obtrusive staff. Fabulous! We’ll definitely be back often.
Wow the current set menu was lovely! We had the crab burger and also the chargrilled ponzu sirloin and they were very nice. Also loved the look of all the new lunch menu options! The mushroom ramen was delicious with so many types of mushroom and different Asian veg. I’ll have to come back to try the rest! Wonderful staff and service too.
This was only the second time we have visited Navana in the evening - the first was shortly after the restaurant opened. We had a lovely evening. The food was beautifully prepared and presented with special effects, such as dry ice, which created a nice bit of drama! Service was very good. Will definitely return. There is nothing quite like this in the area.
We had a fabulous time at Navana. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. We hadn't been before because we had heard about how expensive it was - but we were pleasantly surprised to see that it can be expensive or not as you decide. We will be coming back soon, I hope.
Went for a friends birthday and what a treat it was. Both food and service was amazing and a fabulous selection of cocktails. How delightful to have somewhere so great in Leigh now!!
We had a really lovely evening at Navana, service very prompt and polite. Plenty of options for those who do not like sushi and plenty of options for those that do! Great quality and very good presentation. Lovely furniture and atmosphere. Drinks quite expensive.
Lack of atmosphere, food was good. Didn’t have wine we wanted or a couple of options on menu were not available.
Strange to see staff eating dinner after service in front of us.
