We were asked to wait for our table but then were forgotten about by the reception staff, so waited over 15 min and then had to go and pester them, which wasn't pleasant. The food was mostly good and the service was not bad though serving staff were slightly clueless when asked questions. Overall, a great atmosphere, good food and nice music on a Sunday night!
First of all the place is beautiful ! Really high ceilings, beautiful furniture, live music. It is grand ! Yet so felt very at ease.
The service was spot on ! We were provided with new plates (sometimes at Buffet you have to reuse the same plate many times and it is not very appealing after a while) waitresses and waiters were professional and friendly.
The food, there was somehow less choice than I expected : roast (three types of meats)/sea food/salads/and a bit of ham. everything I tried was delicious. To me the desert buffet was a desapointment, not so much choice biscuits that look out of a packet, etc. Definitely not the same level of care was given to the desert, that being said we were quite full by this time !
The atmosphere was noisy and the place was quite crowded specially at the start (we came at 6.45pm) much more pleasant around 19.30.
Overall a great experience but not perfect !
The best buffet I have ever been to! Would definitely recommend to try it for a fine dining / relaxed experience.
Was amazing would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again
I took my parents and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and service were both great.
Bearing in mind it is a buffet style meal:
- the quality of the food on offer is exceptional! I have had roasts a la carte that have not held a candle to the food on offer at The Ned
- the service from wait staff is very high standard, there is always a waiter or waitress avaialble who are very attentive of the guests in their area (layout is split into several dining areas and rooms) dishes and cutlery cleared and replaced very efficiently
- the variety on offer of food is also fantastic
- the live music not only is amazing but it really enhances the venue and atmosphere of an already very elegant and lovely place
Really no qualms about The Ned. The price of the buffet is high in comparison to other buffet style restaurants but you will not get better value in London than The Ned!
Absolutely amazing, so good I’ve already booked a return visit! Food was unbelievable.
Lovely food, well presented. The atmosphere is great with live music making it really buzzy ! Will def go back
Amazing food and location would defiantly visit again
Fantastic food in a beautiful venue, I specified that it was my boyfriend's birthday at the moment of the booking and they brought us a complimentary cake with birthday candles
Dreadful. Hyped up place. Filled with drunk youngsters and pushy people. The food is awful! Cold and tasteless ... lobster - don’t get excited - you get more flavour from tap water! Avoid this place and pay a few extra pounds and dine in style at somewhere like The Goring
I had a lovely time and thought the majority of the food was very high quality and well cooked. We had lovely wine and the service was excellent.
The prawns had not been cleaned before they were cooked so that was a shame as de-veining after cooking at the dinner table isn’t great. The desserts needed a bit of work for me.
The roast was delicious and the salads were also great. Lobster and salmon was fab.
Great food, staff fab and thoroughly enjoyed the music
Brilliant food this time at the ned. All the meat we tried was brilliant and the selection of salads were fab!
Great noisy vibey place. Not the best service -hard to get people’s attention
Overcrowding at the buffet , food cooked far too far in advance , very poor standard of roast . Would never go again , I paid £48 for a cold starter and a very sad roast dinner . Cauliflower cheese was mushy , roast potatoes chewy . It looked far better than it tasted . You had to post your plate through to a grumpy chef to get any meat and I ended up , after a long wait , with one slice of very fatty pork and a slice of very under cooked beef . Little vegetarian or gluten free options .
Birthday treat and it was wonderful
Fabulous food in an amazing setting would definitely return
Not as good as a previous visit the year before. Only one set of cutlery on the table, drink order not taken, no acknowledgement of our first wedding anniversary, had to ask for the bill twice, when paying waitress made no conversation and decided to talk to the table next to us...... Gravy like water, potatoes weren't very good. Rest of the food was fine, and the singer very good. Was looking to make this an annual thing but have decided not to bother
Amazing experience, high quality food and great atmosphere🤩
Absolutely amazing as always would highly recommend
We love this place
The service is impeccable and everyone that works so hard.
Love love love
Always our go to place
It was wonderful the food , the staff, the service was excellent
Good selection of food, no good for vegetarians unless you want just salad or avo on toast.
All food was kept warm well.
Some food needed to be labelled better to explain what was in them or how they were cooked
Overall good experience, good value if you eat unlimited lobster
Dessert bar was delicious
This place is an amazing venue, it was bustling and busy. The dining area is big. The entertainment which was live music in the background was very enjoyable. I will be returning. The food was plentiful, the fish options tasted delightful. On a whole the entire buffet was good. You had to queue for your food but this was orderly and moved quickly and you can return as many times as you like. The table is yours for two hours.
The service was good the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout.
The cocktails were good too.
Selection of food was impressive but the quality wasn’t great. Roasted meats were dry, I had to ask a couple of times for the staff behind the counter for a rare slice of beef but got well-done every time. Not many vegetables. Cauliflower in the cauliflower cheese was in very small bits, wasn’t convinced there was much cauliflower in it! Lobster was nice but bland. We had a table by the circular stage and the walk to the food felt quite far, and then we had a group of swing dancers next to/in front of us which made us feel nervous about knocking into us as we walked past. Good novelty for a nice hotel but I won’t be going back for the Sunday feast.
At the end of our London trip we ate in the Ned's feast and had a wonderful time and a great taste for more. The buffe is rich and tasty, the live music is nice and the whole place has good vibes. I highly recommend!
Very good but too many people. Can’t hear the entertainment.
Absolutely fabulous darling.
Great food but...…...we were a group of 4 squeezed onto a table for 2. After 1 hour we were told we only had the table for another 30 minutes! It was unbearably hot, very uncomfortable. Shame, 3rd visit but it has gone downhill.
The food and experience was amazing, would definitely book again,
Considering the price the buffet food was poor 👎🏻
Excellent service and delicious buffet in iconic location
Wonderful buffet with seafood, meats and salads. Good selection. Lobster cooking varied from great to underdone and mushy.. but it’s a buffet so wait until the next batch. Fantastic service and ambiance for the price point. Would certainly go again!
Excellent time at Neds Feast - good food and excellent service with Sinatra style Crooner quartet playing in the grand hall. Soectacular
It was lovely and the second time, food is outstanding but felt rushed and you can’t sit to enjoying a drink before eating. Also I think it’s too busy and not relaxing at all. However the food is great
The Sunday feast served great food, stunningly presented - perfect for a special occasion - but a maximum 2 hour time slot meant we felt constantly rushed. Sentences like “you’ve got 15 minutes left to eat dessert” flowed from the service staff. In the end, we were moved to an alternative location to finish drinks. What a shame. At the end of the day it’s all about money making and there’s no forgetting it - it ruins an otherwise positive experience.
At first glance it looksef amazing ..an abundance of food especially the lobsters which are the crowd puller but it's all very bland .
The lobsters plentiful but tough and tasteless the prawns very salty same for the smoked salmon or cured meat which means that it's either badly cooked or low quality meat .
However oysters were good . Salad were fine but the hot meat section also v bland, very overcooked , gravy v thin no taste . As for the desert counter very stodgy ,heavy . The bread and butter pudding wasnt good and custard like soup ! Cheese platter looked fine .
So unfortunately not a meal to be repeated ... all show and no substance .
An amazing feast! I took my husband to Ned's Feast for his birthday and it was fantastic. The setting - the beautiful old bank lobby - is beautiful. The jazz quartet on the elevated stage in the middle was terrific. The service was impeccable. And the food - omg, the food was so good. We each had several halves of lobster, oysters, roast meats, salads, cheese, puddings. And I added within my Open Table reservation a special request that they please do something to mark the occasion and they presented him with a cupcake on a plate that said "Happy Birthday" in chocolate - always nice when a venue honors a special request. We will definitely go back in the future for other special occasions.
Neds feast was OK, was not as great as many hyped it to be. The gravy was liquid and thin, could have been thicker. The poor lady before me got splashed all Over her clothes n designer shoes. Considering the pot being big n high on the ledge, they should consider the guests who are short in height. After witnessing that, I was careful when using it as my roast do need gravy regardless it being runny. The dessert selection was much smaller than I had thought it would be. Very little desserts besides the cheese board selection is you are not a fan of sweet dessert. Felt rushed by the last waitress. Informed us and gave our bill 20 mins before our two hours were up. Even then, five mins later from placing the bill down, she came with the card machine ready to take payment. How rude. This all whilst we were not even finished eating.
Overall the experience was not bad but It. Could have been much better
The food was very well prepared prices for Port was fair but for a bottle of prosecco a bit high. Room lacked atmosphere would have preferred to be at the outer tables rather than in the smaller back rooms. Currently trying to make another booking in December but having some problems with booking through the web site
Fantastic venue celebrating our first anniversary!
Staff really attentive and food selection overall was great for the Sunday Feast.
I had super high expectations of the food and some of the options I selected were not as good as I thought they would be, which was a little disappointing.
Overall, the price tag is toppy for a second visit - but I would plan to visit the other restaurants individually based on my experience.
