Very fresh seafood.
Good environment and good staffs.
Really delicious seafood and beautiful setting. Perfect for a romantic meal or girly catch-up
Great setting, food and service but the atmosphere was slightly lacking.
Had a lovely 30th birthday dinner for a friend at Neptune. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we all had a good time and the food was fantastic. Would definitely go again especially because it is so pretty!
This location is beautiful, unfortunately the food really lets it down - It’s average at best and not worth the money!
The decor is superb and the waiting staff are professional.
The food is mediocre and every plate (incl food) came out decorated with the same pesto dressing x
My girlfriend and I had brunch here on Saturday morning. Restaurant was surprisingly quiet, however it meant we had excellent service. Food was good, very enjoyable brunch, I had congee and gf had falafel breakfast. Drinks prices exceptional good value. Interior of restaurant was exceptional. Overall a really great brunch experience. Made us feel on holiday!
great seafood platter, amazing decor, beautiful restaurant
The place is gorgeous, the atmosphere is great and relaxing. We really enjoyed the seafood platter, only the oysters and some mayonnaise were missing.
I first went to this beautiful restaurant for my birthday last year. I decided to come back as I was invited to a 50% discount on the food. The food I felt wasn’t as good as my last visit and the service was a bit slow. But I will definitely go back as I feel you can really dress up
Pleasant and spacious room with plenty of light. Our waitress was very jolly and pleasant. The sommelier very pushy, kept coming back and kept talking about money. Food average.
Lovely food and friendly service. The seafood platter was delicious!
Unfortunately, terrible service. We made a booking for a party of 8 and were seated to a table which only comfortably seats 4. Service was extremely slow, sides came when most of us were finishes with the main. Was very difficult to find our server to order dessert which took again very long. We voiced our discontent but the restaurant made no effort to listen and acknowledge.
We hope service will improve as the venue is impressive.
Incredible surroundings and building. Really interesting drinks and food menu, though we felt the kitchen had different idea of what a rib eye was (texture was more bavette). Staff were friendly when you could get hold of someone. Three staff on the floor for a Friday night!? Overall service let the whole thing down, and we were left for over 30mins waiting to order a dessert, in the end we just wanted the bill..
Too many menu options not available. Not impressed by absence of fish stew as that was one of reasons for coming. Our preferred desert not available. My main was over cooked and unpleasant. Good decor but strangely lacking in atmosphere. So many better options elsewhere for dinner. Will not return and would not recommend.
We were amazed at how beautiful the Neptune dining room was. It felt like being in a first class
ocean liner. As fish lovers we would specially recommend the seafood platter which was delicious
and came with reassuring background information on how everything had been sourced.
Neptune would be a perfect choice for a special celebration: a birthday or romantic occasion.
We were made to feel very special. Many thanks to the staff.
The service was lovely and the food was really great especially the scallops. Unfortunately they didn’t have oysters which was a let down because that’s why we chose the resteraunt and they didn’t say anything on there website about not having them. But apart from that it was an over all lovely experience!
Brilliant service and great wine list but really disappointing food.
The atmosphere set up is well set up, love the decoration and the foods is delicious. We have our brunch here and the steak and eggs is absolutely taste and well prepared. My friend had the falafel breakfast it was really good and delicious.
All foods are well prepared and the waitress are polite did not come to us every 5 mins and leave us alone, so we can enjoy our meal and nice afternoon time together.
Beautiful restaurant in a beautifully restored hotel. Food was excellent but not an overly generous portion. Service was a little slow when asked for bread after our meal had already arrived.
Food good, and the fixed price lunch is good value. Interesting wines by the glass. Impressive room, although awful background music. BUT: although we were the only customers for the first 30 minutes, and 2 of 6 by the end, the service was slow: slow to take orders, slow to bring orders, slow to notice when we wanted to ask something...
We went for breakfast in Neptune after visiting the British Museum which is very closeby. The food and service was great and will definitely visit again.
The service here was some of the best on a recent London visit.
Amazing hotel, beautiful exterior. Poor welcome from doorman Palm Court room for drinks pre lunch. The restaurant decor is a bit cheap looking. Reasonable food. Okay table service for part of meal, then they lost interest. Overall - underwhelmed.
Incredible food using the freshest of produce , delicious cocktails and phenomenal selection of wine. Amazing ambience. Service was also A+++!
the food was very nice and good quality but the portion of spaghetti both me and one of my fellow diners received was tiny - was like a starter rather than a main course - we literally finished the meal within 5 mins and we're not fast eaters!
A very bad experience for our family Christmas meal.
I would not recommend going here until they sort their food and service out. Very very disappointed, also no oysters, apparently a problem with the supplier. Beautiful restaurant but the food is awful.
Loved it! We were looking forward to dine here and were not disappointed. Loved the decor, great food/drinks and very attentive yet informal service. Spot on!
Only down side is the limited choice of fish on the menu and actually many meat options.. but it’s inside a hotel after all so I think they keep the meat to please every customer. I would add a couple of fish main courses.
The bar is not cosy and welcoming. We had to have our drinks at our table.A labelled wine from Languedoc was only available in a carafe. which means it is impossible to know its origin. A rip off or a fraud ? The menu offered more choice in the spring when the restaurant had just opened. We will not return.
Really disappointed they have a huge opportunity - amazing site and beautiful surroundings. No oysters. No fish apart from mackerel - thought they were a fish resto? Too bright. No one at the bar. Should be far sexier .
Just OK - nice surroundings but the menu was a little lacking in inspiration - I had the Bouillabaisse and was disappointed in the lack of actual seafood with the soup.
Would not recommend again and a real shame too as the setting is lovely, and staff nice, but let down by the critical piece, the food.
The starters were very salty and the mains were cold when they been served. Staffs are very polite and friendly.
Beautiful setting. Nice service. Food didn't stack up.
Upon the recommendation of a food and drink aficionado I booked Neptune for an informal client pre-christmas dinner and drinks. I was slightly nervous as our table was pushed back by 30 mins (we were however notified in advance). We used the time to have a drink in the bar instead. We received exceptional waiter service at our table throughout dinner. The wine list was great and the food in the restaurant exceptional - I must come back to try a sea urchin! One of our party didn't eat seafood and we were given an alternative off menu. The great news is... we all had a wonderful evening and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neptune to others.
The restaurant is beautiful however when we were moved to another table as it was too cold near the window we were sat at a table with a large wet patch on the seat. We covered it with menus. Shame as everything else including the service was lovely!
Brunch: service was friendly but slow and the meal when it finally arrived was tepid, as if it had been sitting on the pass for a long time. The side dishes of chips and hash browns, ordered separately, were piping hot. My egg was over-cooked as well as being nearly cold. Nice toast but no choice offered for the accompanying preserve. I just think they need to raise their game!
An odd experience, this is undoubtedly a beautiful restaurant but service was extremely disappointing: as one of only two couples dining at lunchtime there were more staff than customers, but we didn't feel looked after at all. We weren't given the correct cutlery with our seafood platter and we had to chase down our wine a couple of times.
The actual food was good, the langoustines were as good as any we'd eaten and crudo lovely. We were disappointed to have a limited brunch menu on a Saturday lunchtime and would have liked to eat from the lunch menu instead.
The food is good, wine choice from the sommelier excellent, service pleasant but slow.
Great seafood restaurant
The atmosphere and ambiance was great the setting was just right. From the time we sat down the staff was very welcoming, the flow from reception to the table was really great. The knowledge of staff with recommendations of the menu was not to be fault. Overall I would recommend the place with 5 stars.
Good food and service, however menu limited regarding choice
