Niche is an independent casual dining restaurant serving seasonally-inspired crowd pleasers with a modern twist. Based in Angel, our 'niche' is a 100% gluten-free menu where everything is prepared and cooked on site, making use of local suppliers and seasonal ingredients.

We are open for lunch and dinner (brunch at weekends) with our signature hand-raised pie, our own recipe sausages, alongside a selection of creative salads and our own take on British and European classic dishes.

Before booking please visit our website to view the latest menus and to read important information about your booking and table timings.

The contemporary interior is clean, bright and airy during the day and cosy and intimate at night, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows framing the hustle and bustle of London life with outside seating when the weather is being kind. Angel Tube Station is a 3-minute walk.

We felt welcome from the second we walked in. All staff were friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is small but has a great atmosphere.
I booked because Niche is fully gluten free but you would never know.
Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented.
The menu had lots of choice and was original.
We booked at 2pm and didn’t realise the restaurant normally closes between lunch and dinner but decided to let us remain at our table.
Fantastic!! Can’t wait to return.
Thankyou!

Good atmosphere, lovely staff. Food was pretty good but we ended up with too much deep fried stuff and so next time would order differently. Overall a good place to go and nice not to have to worry about gluten.

‘Gluten free but you wouldn’t know it’, sums up Niche. My partner has been newly diagnosed with coeliac and couldn’t fault the mac and cheese and fries. I loved the sausages and mash, and even managed to squeeze in the pecan pie to finish off the meal. We went at lunchtime on a weekday so the restaurant was fairly quiet but can imagine the atmosphere would be best in the evening.

First visited Niche before Christmas, with my daughter (due to it's proximity to Sadler's Wells) then returned last week with my husband, who is a coeliac. The food is fantastic - even the more limited pre-theatre menu has plenty of choice. My husband was very impressed with the selection and quality of food on offer. The staff are helpful and friendly and the ambiance is very pleasant indeed. We will certainly return on our next visit to London.

The food was delicious and you would never have known it was gluten free! We went for my friends birthday and the waiter kindly gave us a glass of Prosecco at the end of the meal to celebrate. I would highly recommend this restaurant even for people without gluten intolerances!

As a Coeliac for 8 years, this is the first completely gluten-free restaurant I've been to and it was so refreshing to be literally able to choose what I want, rather than just have whatever happens to be gluten-free. I dined with 3 non Coeliac friends and although we all enjoyed our meals, they felt they would've liked more choice of main courses. The desserts were absolutely delicious. The service was efficient and friendly and I would definitely recommend a visit to Niche.

First 100% gluten free restaurant I’ve been to in London and it couldn’t have been better. The service very very friendly, the atmosphere was really relaxed and nice, and the food was absolutely delicious! The entire experience was just what me and my girlfriend were looking for. I would definitely recommend Niche to a friend!

This is (by far) the tastiest and friendliest gluten free restaurant in the city. No request was too difficult, including giving us a more secluded table due to one of our party having social anxiety, and I felt really special on my birthday.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

As a Coeliac, I was very excited to try the food here. Everything we had was delicious! So many treats that I took for granted before my diagnosis were on the menu (Niche Fried Chicken!!)

The staff were friendly and attentive, we arrived early for our booking but were seated within minutes. We had our baby with us and were offered a high chair as well as space to keep the buggy next to the table.

There's a lovely relaxed local feel while the service and food are 5 star, we'll definitely be back

I had lunch in Niche with a friend who is a Coeliac and it was so nice to go somewhere where they really know how to do gluten-free dining well - makes a change from the usual limited options. We had the brunch menu and then the brownie and blondie for dessert and it was all superb. Our server was very friendly, chatty and helpful.

We go once a year. Only criticism, this time, is that we waited quite a long time for our food, which was not at all unpleasant, except that before our desserts they told us they needed the table in 10 minutes...they could have planned the service a bit better!

Visited Niche on a Saturday evening. Very cosy restaurant, that appeared fully booked on the evening we visited. Service was efficient and attentive. The food was excellent. I went for the signature turkey pie, and would not have known it was gluten free by taste. There's also a good selection of gluten-free beer.
Overall thoroughly recommended, regardless of whether you're looking specifically for gluten free or not.

As to noise level . . I think this might have been an issue in the larger room where tables are very close together..some almost like communal seating. I went in early & asked for the table window in the smaller room so no problem. However the main aspect ... welcome, food and service were all perfect. We were post theatre but this meant pre theatre menu which smaller. All was delicious, fresh and with well sourced ingredients. Ventilation could be improved as condensation was running down the windows by 6pm, obscuring any view. It's a great restaurant and I shall definitely be booking again. I don't eat meat and, while not needing to be gluten free, I appreciated the care and innovative approach to the various menu offerings which all looked good as they came out .. meat, fish and all!

I really enjoyed my meal (especially desert), but I felt a bit rushed. I booked the table for 14:30 and it stated on the website we could have the table for 1.5 hours. But at 15:15 they were empty and we were told they were 'kind of' closing until 5, but we'd have time for desert. I was planning on a coffee after desert, so was a bit disappointed. That being said, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The peanut butter blondie would be worth going back for alone though!

Fantastic, perfect place for anyone gluten intolerant (also super yummy for anyone else too). Had a delicious main and a pudding, filled me up nicely. Service was first class, happy people who kept us happy too, took our costs on arrival and showed us to our table that we booked (quite busy, glad we booked). Definitely going back there again, looking forward to it.

Gluten free heaven is the only description I can use ; no need to discuss with poorly trained waiter who have not heard of Gluten and make you feel like a difficult customer because you have an allergy.

The Turkey pie was stunning ; washed down with a choice of 4 GF beers. My 4 non GF fellow diners all had amazing meals and would never have known they were GF. Worth the visit from Exeter !!

Fantastic service, every table was occupied and we let the waitress know we were on a pre theatre time limit, she said “we are busy but very organised!” Not wrong, the food was brought in good time and was very good. Our waitress was charming and efficient and we ate very well at a reasonable price. Thank you to an excellent team.

My daughter and I went here lunchtime after reading all the good reviews and we agree with them all. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the turkey pie and my daughter had the chicken supreme and both were divine and plentiful. The staff were delightful and couldn't do enough for us making it even more pleasurable. If like me you have to be gluten-free then this place is right up your street. And if you are not, it is still one of the best meals you haven't had to cook yourself. Would highly recommend.

Had a great meal here with my mother who usually has difficulty finding gluten free options so a perfect place. The food was creative and delicious. Charming staff and owner. The perfect choice for pre-Sadlers Wells. Will go again and take my gluten-fine family too! I hear they're opening in Soho later this year so look forward to trying that one too before the theatre.

Never felt rushed. A bit noisy but that's because it's popular. Try the Parmesan & Cheddar doughnuts (starter). Very moreish.
