nicks on westminster
We are excited to have you join us on this incredible new adventure in historic Downtown Providence at 100 Westminster.
We are proud to support our local community, local farmers, fishermen, producers+artisans.
Whether you have been dining with us for years at nicks on broadway, or you are thinking of joining us for the first time, we thank you for your support + patronage
Everything we prepare for you is made with care, attention+ love
My eggs were over done and the Bloody Mary was watered down. Overall, the service and atmosphere was great!
Love Nicks on Broadway so thought to try this location. Had reservations and we were sat promptly. We waited about 10 minutes before waitress came over. Okay, no big deal. But then we waited over an hour for our food. The waitress barely acknowledged us while we waited. Another waiter offered to refill our coffee. I was facing the kitchen and it seems like there were a lot of tickets waiting but nothing was moving. When got my waitress’s attention, was asked about our food, and all she said was that it was coming. Well I hope so. When the food came, she thanked us for our patience. Food was good. But service was bad.
Great brunch in a relaxed urban setting. Service was weak. Our order was breakfast, eggs, pancakes, and yoghurt, all very good. We waited over an hour for food after we ordered. Our server brought us water and coffee and Bloody Mary’s when we sat but forgot the milk I requested for the coffee and instead brought cream. During our hour plus wait for food, we managed to catch our server three times to ask for coffee refills. Each time he returned to refill our water but only remembered to bring a coffee refill once. A perfect brunch atmosphere with my charming companions but a little more attention during an awfully long wait for food would have been nice - you may want to order a brunch appetizer for the wait. Next time I may sit at the expansive bar to make server contact easier.
Really great food. Menu is pretty short (which great) but all food groups are covered. Very extensive wine list and some good wines by the glass as well
Absolutely loved my first visit to this new location downtown. Stellar food, as I’ve come to expect from Derek and his crew. Fresh, creative, and delicious. A+ all around!
One of the best places in Providence! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Plenty of healthy choices if you’re trying to be good! I love the pancakes and cappuccino! Also you can tell their orange juice is fresh squeezed, very tasty! Can’t wait to go back!
Another great meal. Love that we can make reservations at this location!!
Ambiance and atmosphere of the new location is stellar! It is so hard to get into their pilot location so I was thrilled to see how spacious the new spot is. The staff was just as great too—knowledge of the menu and very friendly. That said, I am not sure if it is because they are still working out the new restaurant kinks, but our food took over 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen despite it being a slower time of day. Two at the table ordered the chicken biscuit and were very pleased with the food! However, the third person ordered the parfait and side of cooked veggies. The parfait was a small bowl of yogurt with a few pieces of fruit and a small sprinkle of granola. The side of vegetables was like warm and the Brussels were barely cooked. The presentation and quality certainly was disappointing based on the cost. Ultimately, I’d try again after they’ve been open a little longer. Still prefer/love the original location.
Spectacular - awesome food, great service, wonderful vibe! This place is the whole deal !
Excellent food and service. Great prices for great quality food too. My only suggestion is to not take a window seat when the sun is blazing. We were literally sweating it was so hot.
It’s a good brunch but I’m not sure why everyone has always said it’s one of the best brunches in Providence. There is always a wait and the food is good but nothing you couldn’t make at home.
The place is cute and cozy and the food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back!
Service was slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and our server never came to check on us while we waited. We saw several empty table while we waited for our food so it's unsure what the holdup might have been. Food was good but I would probably choose somewhere else for my next brunch.
Parking is a challenge. Food was great BUT we felt like we were at a food tasting event vs. dinner.
I was disappointed with the ambience and the food. I like Nick’s on Broadway much better
They were too slow to get drinks out. They should have a second bartender . No one wants to wait for their cocktails. Saw it happen to all tables from 6:15-7:45pm
Music was too loud. Food was very good, soup was fantastic.
BIG Birthday celebration with Eggs Benny & Mimosas! Nicks was a perfect choice-
Food, Service and Location Perfect!
Thank you to all!
Highly recommend Nick's. Beautiful setting, innovative menu, excellent service. Food was outstanding. Nice bar. This is a hidden gem.
They were able to accommodate a strange food allergy. Food was delicious and service was excellent
Perfect! The food is delicious!
Very pleasant dinner. Green salad was a true delight down to the last bite, no small feat for being winter in New England. Cheese plate was was on the small side for the price- but the accompaniments were quite tasty, particularly the peanut brittle. Risotto was one of the best executed I've ever had. Bobby was accommodating, pleasant and thoughtful in service. All around a lovely meal.
Fun vibes, beautiful presentation of food, but most important of all: really great flavors that made eating a satisfying adventure. Anyone can create a twist on a brunch classic, like eggs benedict, but not everyone can do it successfully. Nick's on Westminster does. We'll be back!
Unfortunately, I left nicks on westminster a bit disgruntled. I made a breakfast reservation (my first time using OpenTable!) for 2 people at 10am on Sunday so that we could get there as soon as the place opened and beat the rush. We were seated immediately; the place was pretty quiet/slow. Then we put our order in: a two egg omelette with carrots and a two egg (scrambled) plate with bacon. We got our food at 11:28am; meaning it took 1.5 hours to make the most basic breakfast dishes. Multiple groups, including a couple of large groups (5+ people) were seated, had ordered, and had received their food before us, despite us being some of the first patrons of the day. We almost left without even getting our plates. Our waitress was not much of a help in getting things expedited. Moreover, food was average. Overall, I was disappointed with the whole experience and will likely never go back.
Amazing meal at Nick’s on W this evening to celebrate my 15 year old son’s birthday. Everything was perfect. Nothing to add. Looking forward to returning.
This was our first time at the new Nick's. We love Nick's on Broadway!! The new place is roomier. Service was great, as was the food. Trying to plan doing brunch there soon.
The food here was exceptional — interesting preparations, high quality ingredients, and great flavor. Our server was fabulous. We were there for dinner, so the place felt kind of sleepy; apparently they do the bulk of their business at lunch because they are located downtown. The ambience feels a bit more attuned to daytime. All of which is a shame; I hope they find their nighttime crowd.
Took advantage of the restaurant week deal and got a delicious 3 course brunch! The food was fantastic, service was so-so, and we couldn’t sit in our seats without asking the table behind us to move so the layout/seating set up was not ideal and we felt very squished! But the food was great!
We Went to Nick’s for the first time. It was conveniently located a short distance from the ice bumper cars / skating rink The brunch menu was excellent and we took advantage of the Providence Restaurant week menu. Point Judith fish salad on toast and a seasonal salad to start. Eggs Benedict for each of us as second course. It was terrific. A warm cookie to end the meal. The service was quite slow and it was confusing who our server was. It turns out that they all were pitching in because they were down one server. Most of them had a really nice attitude. We will be back.
Our server was outstanding!
Greatly enjoyed the 3 course restaurant week menu. Had fish salad, RI mushroom risotto, vanilla bean custard. My wife had butternut squash soup, baffoni farm chicken, and butternut squash cake.
Service was solid, the portions were very generous and the desserts were creative.
Best risotto I think I’ve had in Providence. I’m going to remember that plate.
The jasmine ice cream was incredible.
Nice staff that went out of their way to help and excellent food
Great food and service! Always a sense of community, comfort and culinary expertise combined with genuine authentic friendly staff.
Great Place for Brunch!😄
restaurant was so quiet for a saturday! but the service and the food were terrific. we will definitely go back!
We had a tremendous dinner here on New Year's Eve. Oysters raw and roasted. Dumplings. Steak in wine reduction sauce. All excellent!
Food is excellent and pleasantly different from standard menus. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The open kitchen is like getting a show with your meal. The grilled breads are sooo good
Went here for brunch. Had versions of their eggs Benedict, which was excellent. Other food coming out of kitchen looked terrific; they are very meticulous to detail in the kitchen. Large selection of brunch-type drinks, beers, wines. Very reasonable prices.
Great quality ingredients with purposeful preparation - was a perfect brunch. Service was awesome as well.
Love the food and the service!
