Everything was great!! Food and drinks very good. Dessert yummy. Bread so so.
Shrimp scampi was absolutely delicious...would sufficiently order again...highly recommend.
It was nice and peaceful. The polenta appetizer was lightly fried to perfection. I went with the standard eggplant parm which was well executed. My wife enjoyed linguine with clam sauce . @nd bottle of reasonably priced Chianti seemed like a great idea though we took most of that home.
Overall great food and cocktails. Lamb chops were the only disappointing dish of the night, not bad just not amazing. Good friendly service but she was working hard without enough help, maybe, and we waited a lot while other tables seemed to move out the door much quicker.
My wife & I went to Nicole's for Valentine's Day Dinner & had the 4 Course Special. The menu variety was vast and our meal was fantastic. The Owner, Hostess, & Waiter were pleasant and we had a great dining experience. We will definitely be going back to dine at this restaurant. Steve S.
This was our first time there and we were very happy with the atmosphere service and food. The Zuppa di clams Was one of the best we've ever had. We will definitely be back soon.
A neighborhood gem that continues to offer a terrific experience. From the moment you walk in you just feel comfortable. It’s a consistent delicious place to celebrate any occasion or for any reason. There’s a reason it’s been in business for so many years continued success to Nicole’s
I was really looking forward to trying it here. Had heard great things about it ..was really disappointed.. I think our waiter forgot about us ..left the food under the heat lamps .. my scallop appetizer was overcooked..scallops were like rubber ..entree same thing .. timing of the whole meal was off ..won’t be back
Hi Colleen, I am so sorry to hear about your experience at Nicole's. The dish that you ordered was actually a vegan dish that used mushrooms instead of actual scallops. We apologize for the confusion and hope you will give our restaurant another try!
Just a wonderful place to dine. The dinner was A+ as well as our waitress. You never felt like you were staying too long.
Hi Patricia- Thank you so much for your kind words, we hope to have you dine with us again soon!
Met here with a group of friends for dinner on a Tuesday evening at 7pm. Easy off street parking with plenty of capacity. It was a quiet evening with 4 other tables with diners when we arrived. When seated our drink orders were quickly taken and delivered. Dirty martinis are a favorite with us and the "dirty" level is a subjective one. In this case the bartender nailed it. Right in the sweet spot. Service throughout was nicely timed and Dylan was very personable. The burrata was excellent, fresh and bright. The goat cheese polenta fries was creative and very good. All of our entrees were delicious, ample portions, delivered together and at the right temperature. I ordered the Zuppa di Pesce - Fra Diavolo which was excellent. The sauce was perfect. The kitchen did an outstanding job for us this evening. A very comfortable dining atmosphere with a professional staff made for a great evening. Highly recommended for group or intimate dining.
Nicole's is a beautiful gem with a romantic atmosphere and excellent Italian food. The wine list is just the right size and paired well with both of our meals. Our entrees were excellent as well as very substantial. My only suggestion would be that my veal Theresa entree could have been a tad warmer. My wife's entree was both excellent and a good, hot temperature. We tend not to have appetizers and yet were quite tempted by the options. We took our desserts 'to go' and very much enjoyed sharing them when we were home. We chose Nicole's for our anniversary and would absolutely do so again. Thank you.
My wife and I love Nicole’s. It’s always a special treat getting to go for a date night. Food and service are always amazing. We love their food so much we had them cater our wedding too!
Delightful New Year's Eve dinner with a four-course fixed price menu. Wasn't cheap but the food was excellent from appetizer (calamari) to dessert (GF chocolate cake)!
Overall very nice
Excellent food, extremely friendly and personable staff, and attentive and accommodating service. We had such a great pre-concert meal there!
The food and staff were fantastic. Great portion size and attentive service.
Pretty average: 4 of us dined here on a Friday night. Meals came out 2 at a time with 5 minute gap, inexplicable as it was not busy. My wife's fish special was tasty but WAY OVERCOOKED (dry halibut is no fun), and the "vegetable side" was literally 2 small carrot sticks (...is there a carrot shortage we're unaware of?). My eggplant parm was average, marinara sauce pretty salty. Otherwise acceptable, food and prices pretty average for Albany.
amy family and I love the food at Nicole’s and tonight’s meal was delicious! The noise level was a bit loud at times, but love to see such a packed crowd and this landmark eatery
The food was good. The service was really slow, but luckily we were not in a hurry.
I thought it was quite nice. Menu was a bit limited and was disappointed that the pumpkin ravioli special (on menu) was sold out. Otherwise very good and we’d go back.
We went back to Nicole’s for our anniversary (they catered our wedding) and everyone treated us wonderfully! They acknowledged our special day with champagne and talked to us about the day too. The staff was caring and extremely invested in making sure we were having a great time.
The meal and service was impeccable.
This restaurant has been a place of fond memories for years and will continue to be in future.
Delicious food. Spectacular service. Cannot wait to go back !
Enjoy this unique, small neighborhood restaurant serving excellent food and alcoholic beverages
Charming place with excellent food and service! Very friendly and attentive. Just a great, great place.
The atmosphere was lovely once the bartender generously turned off the television, and our house salads and entrées were outstanding. We both ordered pasta with white clam sauce - hers gluten-free penne, mine regular glutinous linguine - and both were delicious and bedecked with a generous quantity of very large and tasty clams. Really fantastic.
I ordered bread pudding for dessert which was dry - most bread puddings need a sauce, and this one was no exception, but there was no sauce. That was a disappointment after such an otherwise great meal. We’ll be back, and will just order something different for dessert.
The food was wonderful. Service a bit slow.
The food was good but service was slow. We waited quite a while between courses.
a Gem Continues to offer a wonderful dining experience
Great Italian dishes. Friendly and attentive waitress.
We have been 3 times recently. First time, out of an appetizer we wanted. NBD. 2nd time 30 minutes for bread, over an hour for dinner and forgot the appetizers completely. 3rd time started off much better but an hour for dinner and the dinner was cold meaning it was sitting in the kitchen waiting. The restaurant was not particularly busy any of these visits.
Guessing there won’t be a fourth visit any time soon...
We always enjoy eating out back on the patio in nice weather; it seems many people may not know it's there.
Excellent food. Interesting dishes. Great flavor. Make a reservation or go early. Much larger seating capacity than one would expect. One of my favorite restaurants in the Capital District.
We sat outside in rear covered deck. Very nice meal and great service
The food was very good, local Italian, with generous portions. Nice selection of wine & beer. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We sat outside under the pergola. Nice space. Inside, the decor is outdated. If you want solid Italian, and don’t mind the ambiance, this is worth a try.
The food was excellent. The service was quick and efficient. It was an exceptional restaurant and we will be back there many times in the future.
We enjoyed the whole evening and thank you; especially the wait staff, food, and we felt the prices were reasonable.
Great food and good menu selections. First time there and will definitely be back!
Our dinner was wonderful, it definitely was a nice place to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a fabulous dinner experience!
I eat at Nicole’s 4 times a year for many years and I have never been disappointed. Now with my celiac issue, I have found Nicole’s to provide options for me. Just ask the server to note gluten-free and the result is a delicious meal. Their gluten-free bread is the best in the area and I challenge those to non-gluten-free patrons to try it. They are most accommodating and their service is always top shelf.
