We went for deserts and loved everything we had. The service was exceptional.
Honestly amazing!! Service quick and efficient. I am very picky with my food and more when it comes to Italian food, and I can say this place is a 100/100. Deff would go again
Great family owned business! Must try the handmade pasta, garlic bread and amazing cocktails!
Had an enjoyable dinner and came back for brunch at Nittis during our stay in NYC. Great food, good bar, nice outdoor dining space and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
The service was slow. They were nice when they came by but they rarely came and took forever to get anything you asked for (water, cheese, check, etc). The garlic bread was bland and not worth the calories, the entree was tasty and good portion, dessert was good.
The server wasn't wearing a mask (she said she is fully vaccinated...). She later put a mask on as more customers came in but we wished (especially since one of us was pregnant) she had a mask on from the beginning of the service.
Great Italian food for a reasonable price. Friendly, helpful staff.
I was looking around for somewhere to take my wife for Valentine’s Day and came across Nitti’s. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The service with our waiter Tanner was awesome. We also had a chance to speak with the owner and he was great as well. Everything from the drinks to food to dessert was on point. Definitely will visit Nitti’s again. We had a wonderful time!
We came here for my sister in laws 40th Birthday! Service was great and so the the food. The Apps are a must!
Amazing dining option near Port Authority! The restaurant has huge walls of windows that they can open, so they're able to do outdoor dining inside! It felt so great. I started with Brussels sprouts with cranberries and walnuts. Amazing. I then had the gnocchi with shrimp. Delicious. And I finished with the nutella calzone. Brilliant. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. I'll be going back very soon!
Amazing Italian food!!! Great quality and service!!
The food was great the price is decent
Every dish was outstanding. I had the PACCHERI VODKA... Classic vodka sauce and another member of our party had the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE. Delicious.
Bartender was engaging and the drinks were inventive. Try the Jalapeno infused cocktail.. spicy but so good!
Everything was excellent. Food was good, dessert was great and service was attentive. The drink I tried (Bam Bam) was unique, though I would try a different one next time.
My friend and I had a wonderful time at Nittis. The food and the service were excellent, and the ambiance/decor were beautiful. It was my second time there, and I definitely plan to go back. It's a great find in the neighborhood!
Great meatball app(tender and delicious sauce), arugula salad with pancetta and peaches. All pastas made in house - had pasta with vodka sauce (al dente and yummy) and all their desserts are made in house- we shared a bombolini stuffed with Nutella, that was unforgettable. Had a delicious bottle of red that didn’t break the bank-(check out the ladies’ room wow!)- a gem of a restaurant ❤️
The food was just ok. Not on my list of places to revisit.
Nittis was great! This was my first time in here and immediately was greeted by a friendly hostess. The garage doors give really nice light to the place too. I had the fagotini and it was to die for... such a unique flavor with pears and mushrooms but it works really well together. Would absolutely recommend and will be coming back.
My friend got the chicken francese- also delicious!!
Very quaint Italian restaurant with incredible food. Loved the intimate setting and the fact that we weren’t packed in there like sardines. Fantastic fun bathrooms!!!!
The food was just ok - kind of overpriced.
Made a reservation for Christmas based on the menu but the menu had understandably changed for the holiday. What I didn’t expect was a $30 tortellini dish with no meat. Overall, service was amazing, food was good (small serving), appreciative they were open on Christmas. I do recommend ❤️
We really enjoyed our meal at Nittis. The food was excellent (really recommend the meatballs!) and the staff very engaging. The owner even approached us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. This is our go-to restaurant any time we are going to the theatre.
Food was outstanding
I chose Nittis based on the positive reviews. I was disappointed. My entrée was Pappardelle Bolognese. The pasta was fine but the Bolognese sauce was significantly lacking. I could not discern any carrots or celery and the garlic and thyme were just hinted. The sauce was little more than tomato puree and ground meat. There was no offer of freshly grated Parmesan cheese to top the sauce. I opted to not have dessert based on my disappointment with my entrée.
this was our first time there and the food was delicious. the waiter started off well and then forgot us and his assistant took over and was especially good and hope he got part of the tip which he so deserved. it was not that busy and the owner was there; we heard he went over to the tables and greeted everyone but that was not the case with us which was disappointing.
Wonderful service and delicious food. We had the special which was a squid ink pasta. Phenomenal taste and portion size. Kudos to our waiter who offered guidance and suggestions.
Have a wonderful time. The food and service was very good and at a reasonable price.
Mixed feedback from our group of 10, but overall thumbs down. The grilled caesar was quite large and delicious. Someone ordered the short rib polenta soufflé... instead was given flank steak with a aide of polenta that looked straight from a can. The bolognese was very bland with barely any meat, very disappointing for an Italian restaurant. Also the owner/manager came over to our table and facetimed his wife to our group! It started as silly, but went on for about 10 minutes... We were there to enjoy each other’s company, not the managers family! I’m always cautious when writing a poor review because it’s people’s livelihoods, but we will unfortunately not be back.
Pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood find. Owner helped us select a nice wine to go with our meal - he brought out his bin list with full descriptions! Food was flavorful. Only wish my entree was a bit more sizable (I had the fish and there was too little of it with no accompaniment). Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would return.
What a great find online. Thank you Open Table!
We chose Nittis because of the location (close to Penn Station) and because everyone can find suitable choices in an Italian restaurant. The location turned out to be difficult because it is on the street that leads to the Lincoln Tunnel favored by trucks AND the window wall was open - lots of noise and truck exhaust! Food was standard average Italian fare decently prepared but not distinctive. Greatly enjoyed a wine -Montepulciano recommended by our waiter and offered at the same price as a Primitivo. Very nice red and greatly appreciated. We were also troubled by a mass of fruit flies that invaded our salads but were compensated by a pleasant banana bread pudding for the inconvenience.
Situated on a busy Hells Kitchen corner of 9th, with wide open garage door walls, Nittis has a busy uber urban ambience that might put off some diners. Inside, the banquets are comfy, the staff attentive, the menu perfect, and a wine list, ranging from moderate to very pricey but well worth it for the choice. Then there's the food, exquisite! Simple, devinely prepared and well presented. A side bowl of pasta and red sauce surprisingly Devine. Will return on every visit.
My eggs benedict lacked flavor. It needed salt and pepper and the Hollendaise needed lemon. I was surprised as this was highly suggested from our waiter as to be outstanding.
Amazing neighborhood gem that keeps getting better with time. Love the food, drinks, and ambience.
This should be so much better than it actually is. Food was tasteless, service was mediocre, food was overpriced.
Such an amazing experience. Will is a fantastic host
I thought the food was good. Loved the Brussels sprout appetizer. Sounds silly not the bread wasn’t great. They could do better! Both pastas were different and tasty. The waiter was a bit snobby and dismissive . That was a turnoff
It’s a nice place. Loud traffic and homeless people all around; not really their fault or anything they can do about that it’s just the neighborhood. Music was good, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s Rock vibe.
