No. 5 Social
Good textures and taste . Isle of Wight tomatoes and curd a hit with all diners 9/10
A truly excellent dining experience - a warm welcome by helpful staff, really good ambience, superb value and a top class meal (I had the fixed daily menu), beautifully presented and delicious. The chef Kostas Papathanasiou really deserves an accolade for his creativity, adaptabliity and willingness to engage charmingly with customers. I sense that one day he could well inherit the title of best Greek chef from my all time favourite Greek chef - Nico Ladenis who made such a major culinary impact on London. I made another booking immediately!
Everything totally amateur and food quite forgettable. Feels like they’ve opened too soon and couldn’t cope with a Friday night. Too many excellent choices in a London at this price point to recommend No 5 Social.
Great menu. Excellent cuisine. Reasonable wine list. Super service. Just a tiny bit pricey in terms of VFM.
Amazing Food, brilliant service and great upgrade - highly recommended 👏
We went on opening weekend after the refurbishment from Little Social. Food was excellent. There were a couple of teething problems with timing and we were under a cold vent that couldn’t be corrected otherwise it would have been five stars all round.
Great food and excellent service and all for a fair price!
We will be going back soon
They changed their menu. They runned out of Lamb, meat and wine... for the money , will not be a restaurant we will be coming back (we used to be customers...).
Lovely restaurant, just a little slow, today, for a lunchtime
Awful service. Red wine was warm, starter was cold, took over 45 minutes to deliver the main course. May have been a bad night for them, but would not recommend it.
Having been to the Pollen Street Social I was keen to try the sister restaurants. Little Social offered really good quality food and the atmosphere was more relaxed, which is what we'd hoped for after a day out - somewhere we could get a high quality meal but feel comfortable in our day clothes. The ambience is lovely and the service was superb. My only slight reservation was that my partner was able to eat for half the price of my meal as the prix fixe menu offers a selection for meat eaters, but only one vegetarian choice, which wasn't suitable for me. Little Social offers a competitive range of vegetarian options on a separate menu so it would have been nice to see this reflected in the choice offered in specialist menus as well.
We enjoyed an amazing lunch with friends we haven’t seen for over a year. The ambience and service was just right for the occasion. As you can imagine we had lots to catch up on and the team never made us feel like we had to rush. The food was amazing not over fussy just very well cooked and well presented food. We will definitely return.
Excellent food, every time.
The quality of Pollen Street Social at a (slightly) lower price ... great cooking in a functional room, although slightly too dark to show off the mini masterpieces on your plate.
20 mins to receive a G and T.!the wine ordered for the food arrived first! Burger was ok but over cooked and a bit dry. Very good starter of pea and ham hock. Suggested wines were good. Left after main course to get dessert elsewhere. Think I will save up for pollen street social which is fab. This was nice but not for special occasion.
Been to little social a few times recently mainly for lunch. About to get a refurb I was told. Works well overall with decent food and good friendly easy service. Will keep coming back and will be interesting to see the refurbed version.
I was looking for a warm and cosy venue and am delighted to have found Little Social. The staff were polite and professional. The menu supremely tempting and the venue warm and cosy.
Just keep it on the down low - it’s my new fave place I don’t want to not get a table.
Great food in a lovely atmosphere, attentive service. All of which you pay for.
Overpriced. Food very good but portions too small. Wine menu very misleading in terms of what you are getting for the price. Service extremely poor
Great atmosphere and staff were so knowledgeable and attentive but not intrusive. All the food was wonderful . We had Cornish did and beef dishes both cooked to perfection and can thoroughly recommend.
I found Little Social by chance on Google Maps when I needed a place for a civilised but low-key business lunch near Oxford Circus - we had the prix fixe lunch, both my guest and I agreed that it was a great location and good value, the food was excellent (particularly the main course). It was quite busy which meant it was also quite noisy (though not to an extent that it impinged on the ability to have a conversation) and neighbours not far away. I will certainly recommend Little Social for anyone needing a central location for a good meal.
Lovely place - great energy, quite close together, quite noisy (for some that might not be what you're looking for - but if you don't want quiet and stuffy, this place is awesome)
Service was spot on, food was delicious. I would recommend and go again.
Wine price list did not appear on the menu and the house wine was at a suprisingly high price when the bill came.
Lovely atmosphere inside. Early diner menu was good value
Tasty food and lovely staff. The set menu is also great value. The dessert was huge!
Outstanding food, great service thank you.
We where really well looked after, the service was excellent, the food was exceptional and we will be going back without doubt.
after ordering all our food, we had to leave quickly for an appointment which had been changed. They couldn't have been kinder and sorted it all out without any fuss. We had Steak tartare to start and artichoke salad, both of which were incredible. tartare with crispy kale was very different to a normal tartare and was just brilliant.
Fabulous, must go place. Great food and outstanding service.
The experience was a joy from start to finish. We were attending a show at the Palladium and chose the Pre Theatre Menu. The service and food was faultless and all three courses were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant without reservation.
The food, service and feel of the place was great. It was relaxed but the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We will go back!
I used to really like this place but the service has gotten slow and sloppy. I always liked this place as the little brother of Pollen Street Social but the menu has been trimmed back, the bread basket boring....it's just past prime it feels. Shame as was a perfect lunch spot for clients.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere
What a pleasant surprise!
We’d eaten at Little Social a few times before......and booked a table because we fancied some well prepared, good value, comfort food.
What we didn’t know was that the original chef had left and had been replaced by one of the more senior chefs from Pollen Street Social, across the street.
The change was noticeable.
It wasn’t comfort food, it was good value Fine Dining.
We had 6 dishes and 2 glasses of wine for around £75 - worth every penny
Food is lovely and great, cosy space. We had asked for a quiet table due to hearing issues, and we given a relatively quiet booth. One of our party is autistic, and it was nice that no one batted an eyelid. Definitely a great spot and will be back. (Only slight negative is that I personally find it odd to have music playing in a bistro-style restaurant, it just adds to the noise.)
Been there for a lunch for 2,
It’s been a huge disappointment, i know that because of the area everything is overpriced but i was expecting something more than the experience we had.
Ordered the chicken(breast) uninspired
, slightly undercooked (some parts were pink), the mashed potatoes was allright, i can make better at home, my friend ordered a (tiny) cheeseburger, the waiter didnt asked if she wanted it rare medium rare etc, so the steak was all dry, poor quality of bun, average burger, only the cheese made the difference kind off... chips were frozen one, white as the ones from macdonalds, salad was the best point of the lunch, really fresh, usual vinaigrette, yes!
The decor is nice, half parisian/newyorker style, staff was polite and effective.
Save your money and go somewhere else.
The food and the service make this place impeccable. There are many vegetarian options and the cheese platter is unreal. The tables are very close to each other, but on a busy evening you don't notice as there is a lot of chatter for your talk to be absorbed by. I would go, for a special occasion, or regularly when I am loaded.
3rd time st this restaurant . Food always great.
Service was simply aggressive. The whole evening staff constantly interrupting us to push us forward from cocktails to wine from meal to pudding etc ... really spoiled the evening . We were less than 2 hours from start to finish so not really doddeling!
Yeah it’s ok but not too bad but it looks good but I can’t find any more than that I have a look and then I’ll get back in the way back to you I have to go back and to check my phone to get it done and I have a think to check on the
I’m little surprised that this restaurant is in the Michelin guide. Whilst we could taste the freshness of the ingredient, there is no ‘wow’ factor that we hoped for. Many of the more comfortable tables/seats near the front of the restaurant were vacant throughout the time we dined there yet the waiter/floor manager insisted that they could not offer any to us. No one came to our table to offer menu and drinks until about 7 minutes after we seated; instead people that came after us were served first. Before we even got our food, the floor manager told us that we can only have our table until 7.30 (for another hour); based on our observation, no diners needed our table when we left at past 7.30. Not a great experience and will unlikely return.
