Afternoon Tea at Cafe 15
The well-loved tradition of afternoon tea has long been a popular pastime in Bath, which is why we've made it a speciality. We're staying faithful to the classics with delicate sandwiches, glorious cakes and warm scones with clotted cream and homemade jam, while there are also smile-inducing flavour pairings in the mix. Afternoon Tea: Saturday, 2pm-6pm

Brunch: Sunday 11:30 - 15:00
Afternoon tea : 14:00 - 18:00
Dinner: Tuesday- Saturday 19:00 - 21:30
The hotel is fabulous but the food could’ve been better. The breakfasts were nice as we’d stayed there but our dinner was ok and doesn’t complement the overall stay at the hotel. Food, we were told, were small dishes so we’d need to order a few dishes but we ordered too much as some dishes were bigger than others. So it’s hardly a taster menu or a tapas so we were a bit confused and disappointed to be honest! I’d stick to a proper a la carte menu if I was them. Food was nice enough but I’d only recommend it for the setting and ambience to be fair.
Great food and a lovely setting. Our server was brilliant and thoughrally attentive.
We had a lovely time and would definitely go back again
Nice staff, interesting decor, nice bar. Food you can choose as mains or tapas. Relatively quiet.
A nice way to share dishes, plates are small but not too small so you can order as much as you like. Quality very good. Quirky ornaments in this boutique hotel.
Had an excellent meal here on a recent visit to Bath. Excellent food. Thoroughly recommended.
Booked well over 2 weeks in advance. Even had an email the day before checking I was still going to be making my booking, which I confirmed. Upon arrival the staff had no knowledge of my booking and looked at me oddly when I said I was there for lunch. They said they only had bookings for afternoon tea and would have to check with the chef to see if they’d be able to fit us in for lunch. The reason for our visit was that it was my Mum’s birthday, very unimpressed with the whole situation and decided to leave and find somewhere who was happy to take us for lunch. Would not recommend.
We had a very pleasant evening meal. We really enjoyed our service/ meal with a grazing table of starters.....notably the roast cauliflower risotto along with the beetroot and goats cheese salad. Mains were just the right portion with the crab souffle pancake being light yet warming. Great fizz and wines to match. Thoroughly enjoyable and a great start to our weekend as 5 minutes walk from our local Airbnb.
Very poor service; had to wait hours to get food. Other diners left after waiting an hour for their food.
Service was hopeless.
The staff weren’t attentive; we struggled to get their attention all night (as did others in the restaurant).
Atmosphere is ok. Decor is pretty cool.
The food was ok.
I won’t be rushing back.
I should add that the cocktail bar upstairs is brilliant though. Great bar staff and a great cocktail list in a funky room.
The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good but the evening menu was nice but not great. However maybe I chose poorly as we only had one evening meal there.
First visit to No15. It made a very good impression on us. The staff are young and lively, the atmosphere fun and friendly. Bar service was good and not too slow and the restaurant has a very cool vibe.
Slightly noisy with a large pre-wedding group dining - not really suitable for large parties of guests, as the bar and restaurant are quite small and therefore, other diners will have to suffer the rising sound levels.
Food and wine were excellent and the service in the restaurant was also very good. Reasonably priced city centre eating.
Good service. Food, nothing to remember. Drinks wew fine, very quiet place. Out of the cebter of Bath.
A beautifully and imaginatively decorated space with a good ambiance. The menu is original and interesting and we enjoyed what we ate.
The wine list was different offering plenty of choice. Only one waiter but he looked after us very well indeed, replenishing out glasses with consummate professionalism.
Really enjoyed our time, the service in particular was outstanding.
The food was fantastic and what’s not to like about unlimited wine!
Will definitely be back.
We really loved the hotel attached to cafe 15 and the cafe itself was as beautiful, staff friendly and helpful but I have to say the food was very average at best and they were out of the first two things we asked for from the menu. We had dinner the next night at The Circus restaurant which was cheaper and infinitely better. I love the feel of the place and we had a great time anyway but could be improved so much food wise
Beautiful decor. Food was delicious. Need to come back to have dinner next time.
Had a lovely anniversary meal here. Beautiful dining room, kind and attentive staff, delicious food and wine. Nice to have a great spot to come to on the famous Great Pulteney Street
Superb venue and wonderful food - thank you all
Excellent food but very slow service. We booked for 8 and sat down at 8.15 having looked at the menu and made our choices. Starter did not arrive for 40 minutes
Very disappointing! The food was tasty, but the service was terrible.
We have paid for unlimited drinks but we always had to request to have our glasses refilled. Did not fulfill our expectations, namely when we have visited this place for 2 past occasions and the experience was much better.
Lovely looking restaurant , friendly staff however the food was very poor .
We were a party of 6 and all of us agreed that the food wasn't very nice .
My husband returned his dessert as it was cold when it was meant to be warm and it didn't taste as it should .
So disappointed.....made our reservation through you. The booking was confirmed for 20.00 hrs on Friday 15th December. We had a drink in the bar and were on our way down to the restaurant when we were told the restaurant was closed for a private function!
the hotel apologised but by this time there was not much hope of finding a free table in another restaurant . The hotel put together a cheese and charcuterie board which as you can imagine was not the special meal we had been looking forward to, especially as it was our wedding anniversary!
You may want to investigate what went wrong in case it happens again?
Very disappointing experience unfortunately.
The food and service were good.
However there were a few issues. We were the only people there for lunch which surprised us as they are normally full for dinner. This meant that there was zero ambience.
I ordered rack of lamb and was served either saddle or fillet. I had ordered the rack as meat on the bone is tastier in my opinion.
My wife's order of steak came perfectly cooked as ordered, but the food was cool.
Shame as it looked as if it could be a cool place to go.
Staff were polite, pleasant and mostly efficient. The ambience of the room was fine except I had my back to the window with a bad draught, so had to get a scarf, but my seat was probably the only one affected by this. The menu choice was quite small but adequate apart from the sides: two types of potato or salad which was largely rocket. The dishes tasted all right and were hot, but a bit lacking in variety. For instance, my fish pie was largely mashed potato with a few prawns and unidentifiable fish pieces, a bit monotonous because every mouthful tasted the same. At £94 for 2 people and 2 courses, with glass of house wine and coffee, the whole meal seemed a bit over-priced for what it was. I felt we were paying over the odds for the location.
We had a lovely evening at no.15 which, when booking, was considered a potential risk but we were not disappointed. A very small restaurant in the hotel basement but with wonderful décor and ambiance. The menu is similarly small but holds the right variety to offer a good choice. None of us had any complaints with the food. Service was good - could be improved especially as for such a small venue the amount of covers per staff is a lot less. There was a wait between courses to be served which may be considered longer then expected but we were not concerned by this as we were happily engaged in conversation and wine. Would definitely return and can see no.15 becoming a regular dining venue for us in the future.
The entrance to the restaurant was not great. Could do with some updating/decorating. The lighting was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. It was too bright. The dining chairs are too low for the tables. My steak said it came with a Brandy sauce which I had to ask for. My husband’s chicken was dry and sitting on some very soggy veg. We thought the menu unadventurous. Sorry we won’t be back. A shame as the venue is in a great spot.
Had a few days in Bath and cafe 15 had been recommended to us. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! Would definitely go back if ever back in Bath...and may even stay there as this place was much nicer than even the 5* hotel we were staying in! Can not recommend enough! Xxx
Only criticism menu a tad short, need more choice in all categories, starter main and puds
Love the decor, have been several times as walking distance from home and food excellent. Service variable, young staff very keen and likeable but may lack experienced manager. This time we had long wait for the bill and last time long wait for our reserved table. But would still recommend!
I normally really enjoy brunch but unfortunatly i was disappointed at Cafe 15. The pastries were very small, the fruit platter didnt have alot of choice. The 'full english' was not full, where was the toast, beans, hash browns, tomato? and the poached egg was over cooked. Service was messy and there was no ambience and no music.
Very enjoyable will save up for accommodation next time !
decor in bar and dining bit hit and miss
liked the cocktails very much, loved the shuffling deck menu option
chairs in bar area too big and bulky, using smaller ones will create more space and flow
Unfortunately they decided not to open the restaurant on Monday evening, but forgot to update Opentable. Suggest calling to make sure they are open.
Greatly enjoyed and will return and also recommen to all our friends.
Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant - she had only recently started but coped well
Terrible service from inexperienced staff. Main course badly cooked and inedible.
Lovely food but restricted menu due to graduation day in Bath although no graduates were actually eating there
We were impressed with Cafe 15. The venue is well-designed and interesting on the eye, with the dispensary bottles lined up along the wall. The service was friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was very good, interesting menu well-presented. Wine list was good- broad range of wines that were not the usual staples. Good venue for a date night.
the afternoon tea was lovely I though would always like the option of being offered more sandwiches also the scones were a bit heavy and dry.
Brunch was slightly odd in concept with a range of opening courses including pastries through to smoked salmon, fruits, watermelon, mozzarela and tomato salad... then to be followed by a more main course than breakfast, such as steak with fries... and then a pudding? I always thought Brunch was more of the toast, muffins, bacon, mushrooms and eggs variety, certainly without a pudding course! But have to say it was delicious and very well presented and we all left very full indeed!
