   Good food and wine but very expensive BUT paella was just mostly rice with very little fish. Disappointing

   We had a pleasant evening. The interior is nicely done with a lovely terrace at the back. That evening the restaurant had a cocktail offer on which meant the staff were serving at the bar and had less time for the restaurant customers. The staff were stretched, very helpful and charming when they did have the time to serve but water was forgotten, a meal we ordered was the wrong size but it was immediately rectified. I had pasta which was OK nothing special. Overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food and the wine prices are ridiculously high - too high and it's obvious. We eat out and travel a lot. There are a number of very good restaurants in the town all in very close proximity - it wouldn't be our 1st choice in a town which has a good selection.

    We had lunch on Friday. The £10.00 special was great value. Quality was not compromised because it was a special deal. Five times we have had this deal and it has been excellent every time. The young lady that served us was excellent. Higher recommend Room 23.
