Cocktails were nice but expensive. We were informed after we had one cocktail each at around 6 pm, that they were no longer serving cocktails, we had booked the restaurant for a small bit of food and cocktails specifically. I had also booked a snug area but was seated on high-top tables which was not an issue for us and we accepted the change but may be a problem for any mobility issues. No server came to our table to take our food order for around an hour even though we had cutlery and a food menu. When the nice lady who served us first came over to check, we declined the food as we knew we had to leave within the following hour or so for a train so the rating on the food is not accurate as we didn't get anything (looked nice for other guests!) but it won't let me n/a so star rating is based on no one taking our order. The atmosphere was nice, and the reception staff assisted us with getting a taxi. Staff in bar were friendly. It definitely felt like the hotel bar it was and not somewhere I would book in future. If you are staying in the hotel I'm sure it would be very nice for a couple of drinks before bed or heading out but I wouldn't book as a stand-alone cocktail bar.

Food was average and triple chips were hard and single cooked at best. Food not warm enough either. Waitress forgot the coffees and we had to request menus to begin with ten minutes after showing ourselves to a seat. Booths are good for seating and catching up. Wine glass extortionate at £12.95 and no wine menu seemingly on offer. Had to go looking for attention to get the chips cooked a bit more and wouldn’t say they had a noticeable difference when they returned.

Lovely drinks while staying in the attached hotel. Was disappointed the drinks menu in the hotel did not match the menu online, menu in the hotel was more limited. Service was excellent, on the more expensive side but very tasty.

Waited over an hour for food order. Kids meal was a bigger serving than the adult meals. Had booked a table for 4 for food and was given a sofa and arm chairs with coffee table, not suitable for eating a meal. The staff were lovely there just wasn’t enough of them.

It's a handy place for a meal if you are going to the Waterfront although the menu is very limited. We had burger and chips which were decent but perhaps overpriced at £19.50. The service was fine and staff friendly enough.

Our table for 6 was really a table for 4 so was a very tight squeeze! The waitress when asked about gluten free options said there “was nothing “ and when I said “so I can’t have anything to eat? ” replied “looks like it “!!!!! We left No 4 and went to the hotel restaurant, which used the same kitchen, and amazingly was able to be accommodated my dietary requirements ! I would definitely not recommend No4, the entire experience was dreadful,

Very limited menu. Burger with nine chips is £19.50. Scandalous. Lunch time menu had a lot more choice. Cheapest bottle of wine £32 . Such a shame.

While the waiting staff were friendly and polite, the service was poor. The food was just ok and the main meals were cool, one had to sent back. The toilets were not particularly clean and it is mainly for these reasons that I thought the value for money for a four star hotel was particularly poor.
