Very good Sunday Lunch. Not cheap but plenty of it and we’ll cooked.
The staff were very friendly, however a little all over the place in terms of service. We were asked if we wanted water as we sat down, and gave our water order. Then a little later ordered a glass of champagne each. The water didn't arrive until we were through our starter and sipping on our champagne which was lovely by the way, recommend the house champagne. We literally had just finished our bread which was our starter and our mains arrived. I asked for the wine list, which took a while, then ordered a glass of house white. It didn't arrive, until after our main and the waitress did bring it over and apologized and also took it off the bill, which was a nice gesture. Took ages to then be brought the dessert menu, and then ages to ask if we wanted anything. By which point we didn't. Then again a delay with the bill, then the card machine. The food was excellent and the staff are great but a more attention and co-ordination required.
Excellent experience all round, especially the food
The staff were friendly and accommodating (we had a very small child) the food was delicious and the restaurant itself was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it.
Always lovely and always great staff and great services with lovely food and wine
Fantastic service, staff had great knowledge and advise about the menu. Delicious food, reasonably priced wine, highly recommend. Only area of improvement is we had booked for 5 people over 2 months before & were seated on a rectangular table for 4 people (other groups of 5 had more space on round tables). Will return :-)
Excellent meal in lovely surroundings. Friendly attentive staff.
Pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent, helpful and attentive and the food was delicious. Every plate we ordered and shared had had time and effort taken to ensure it tasted good and the presentation was perfect.
Would highly recommend the butternut squash and feta salad, baby squid and the chocolate orange dessert!
Wonderful as always. Food was superb and while the wine options are limited there are some great choices. Highly recommended.
We had a delicious lunch and the staff were delightful! Highly recommend.
An excellent Sunday roast with excellent service and atmosphere.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent wine!
The service was excellent and very attentive. Great menu selection with great tasting food and wine.
Really enjoyed our meal at no 5 restaurant in beaconsfield. Great food, staff extremely helpful. Ambience pleasant all I. All a good experience.
First time visit and very impressed with the food, the service and not having to wait too long to be served
We were pleasantly surprised at the vegan menu and the attention to detail in service. The food was terrific, the location just right on the beaconsfield high street. I am definitely coming back.
The atmosphere was lovely , cosy and relaxed. It was busy but not too loud . The food was amazing, really enjoyed the fish I had and the service was great ! Looking forward to next time
I had to delay the table by 15mins as my guests were travelling up from Dorset and the traffic was heavy. This was not a problem and was dealt with efficiently. This was just as well as It did take a while to find a parking space.
We were seated on a lovely round table next to the window which added to the whole experience. We chose the set menu but added a dessert of our choice from the a la carte menu. The food was delicious and extremely good value for money.
Service was slick and friendly and we were given plenty of time to make our choices and did not feel rushed at any point. Thank you.
Great atmosphere and tasty food. Birthday treat for my Sister who loved her main course 😋
Fantastic venue great food and fabulous service all contributed to a brilliant afternoon. Best roast dinner in Bucks
Just superb, best Sunday roast outside of home that I have had since I moved to Bucks over 20years ago. Definitely will be returning and more frequently
Not sure what has happened to No.5, previously the best local restaurant and a particular favourite of ours. When I made the booking I asked to be informed if they would be imposing a set menu for Valentine’s Day as my partner has a number of food challenges. I heard nothing so thought it was all good - nothing on their website either when I checked. Yet when we sat down the £55 set menu was given which meant a wasted starter, wasted main and a forced sharing main course (Chateaubriand) which was all she could eat so I had to have it too. We were offered the special cocktail. I had it but as she didn’t they never took another drink order for her, we had to chase them. Starter was requested with no coriander - but came up covered in it so was returned. The main course meat was nice enough though we’d have preferred more of a sear to the outside, very limited sides too, would have loved some spinach or kale for instance. Final price was £150 which for a meal that wasn’t our choice of dishes and friendly enough but inefficient service was way too much. Am in no hurry to return.
Amazing place whether your casual, smart or for a special occasion. Food is delicious. I return every time for the same meal because it’s the only place I go for a medallion steak.
lovely meal at No.5. My regular go to place in Beaconsfield. Awesome food, friendly service and generally just a nice place to go to catch up with friends/family.
We had an excellent lunch, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the wine that we chose to - service was spot on!
I would not recommend any restaurant as one person might like different things, however the eating experience overall was very good. Not tremendous value £100 for a small piece of fish and a halloumi burger and 2 lasses of house wine.
A great restaurant, food exceptional and staff knowledgeable about the menu. Great to see families eating.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommend.
Tasty, creative dishes; lovely ambience and excellent service - I had a lovely evening at No 5 catching up with a friend and never once felt rushed to eat up and leave. Will most definitely be going again.
our first visit and was on a Sunday.
Well received and shown to an available table for two.
Plenty of light even away from the window.
Not rushed for order which was good.
tap water and drinks served and after order was taken, starter soon arrived.
decent choice of wine by the glass to go with sunday roast and plenty of choice.
had a shared dessert as had eaten plenty by then.
Enjoyed our visit and hope to return again soon.
Fantastic Food, lovely staff! A must go, we will be back.
As always the food was fabulous. The chefs deserve a big pay rise! Great service too.
Fantastic lunch - imaginative and very tasty dishes, service attentive and friendly, we explained we had to be quite quick - and we were able to be in and out within an hour. Wish we could go more often it’s a real gem!
Good food, nice staff, easy relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend.
Great food and fantastic service as always. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
