Noble Bistro Oakville
Food was amazing but we felt the waiter kept forgetting about us never checking in, to the point we left after waiting 30 minutes with the dessert menu and it wasn’t busy.
Excellent food and service, always unique specials to choose from that pay homage to the farm to table concept.
One of the best places to eat in Oakville! Best to go when it is not busy for best service. Also one of the best wine lists found in Oakville.
One of Oakville’s best dining restaurant
Food delicious and service excellent. 3 course meal which included cod and duck breast was super and created by a very talented chef.
A quiet little gem of a restaurant in downtown Oakville. Excellent food and service.
Wow! What an amazing restaurant on all levels!!
Service was great, and food was worth every dollar!
We ordered the Caesar salad to start, and then had wild boar ragu and Noble cheeseburger as mains-sooo delicious!
Dessert of chocolate chip cookie was out of this world!
Waiter we had was amazing, but all staff seemed nice.
Everything was absolutely outstanding. There is no higher rating that we could give. The memory of the evening will stay with us for a very long time.
Quiet - food was very average so didn’t seem worth the price point. Staff was very attentive.
Our server was fantastic!
What an unexpected and amazing dining experience. We came on a very quiet Tuesday. But the waiter and chef more than made up for the lack of buzzy atmosphere, and then some. We started with the beet salad which was delicious with just the right weight of dressing. The wine we ordered was a French Pinot Noir that far exceeded its price tag. The duck entree was probably the best duck I have tasted. It was dry aged to perfection. The accompanying vegetables were very well prepared. Truly delicious. Then our very knowledgeable and attentive ( go figure) waiter gave us dessert of peach NY style cheese cake as it was my birthday! A truly memorable dining experience.
Nice location and venue. Friendly staff. Fell way short of expectations on the food quality. Signature starter of deep fried sprouts were greasy and bland. Gnocchi for main was also deep fried and reported to have Gruyere cheese but you couldn't even taste the cheese, and the mushroom "sauce" was nothing more than a gravy at best.
Also for a main we had the (according to the waiter) most popular item, which was the braised rib and scallops. The rib may have been a good cut at one time but had been boiled to death, to the point that is was mushy. IMHO a long way past braised.
We are not picky patrons but at this price point I expect better.
We had a wonderful evening with two other couples for dinner. The restaurant was quiet and has a great ambiance. The food was fantastic and the staff's attention to my food allergies (gluten, dairy, and nightshades) was on point. I appreciate that they gave me a good portion of veggies when I was unable to have the potatoes, some restaurants don't give a nice portion in place of the starch. A great place for a night out with friends!!
We dined at Noble on New Years Eve for the first time and the food was very good. The menu was pre-selected for New Years so we did not get much of an opportunity to sample the menu but there were enough good things about the meal that we will be back to sample more of the standard menu fare.
The service from Sarah was outstanding! 5 star
The warm bread with oil was amazing. 5 star
The mushroom puree was delicious. 5 star
But ... We were very disappointed in the main course--One star-- nice moist chicken but nothing special, no flavour ... and wet flavourless potatoes and zucchini "market vegetables." Way too pricey for something so bland and ordinary. You can do better ... match the mains with the rest and you're 5 star.
My wife and I came in from out of town and found Noble Bistro through Open Table. The food and service we're optimal. Tim's honest recommendations suited our appetites perfectly. Would love to try the testing menu next. To rank our dishes (to best, and this is tough as all were delicious): burger, brussel sprouts, Caesar salad, sticky toffee pudding, short rib and scallops.
Excellent, attentive service
The best parts was dessert. Salad was ok, but chèvre was hidden and very little. Sandwich came on white toasted bread with small pieces of chicken, and with a few fries (which were extra) an embarrassing presentation. Did not send back since I invited a friend. Dessert made up for it. Not coming back.
It was our anniversary, the service was amazing, very personalized and our server was so knowledgeable.
The food was unique, the flavours were so different and flavourfull. A very special dining experience. Loved it!
This is by far my favourite restaurant in Oakville. The food is always fresh and very good, the service always impeccable.
Recommend you try the surprise Prix Fix menu... Sure to amaze.
My wife and I went to celebrate a special occasion and we had one of the best experiences ever. The service was top notch, the food - amazing. We ordered the specials and we had never tasted food like this before. I've been to a few farm-to-table style restaurants and Noble Bistro is probably one of the top ones on my list. We both plan to visit again to try the tasting menu.
We enjoyed our dinner at Noble Bistro. We had the 3 course Carte Blanche menu where the chef creates a meal for you. We were so glad that we did this because we were able to try something that we normally would not order. We included the wine pairings with our meal and we were not disappointed. This restaurant is a true gem in Oakville.
Went with the 3-course Carte Blanche (chef's surprise) and it was amazing. A curated meal presented by the chef, who returned to answer questions afterwards. Cannot imagine ordering anything else when I inevitably go back, but considering how good that meal was I expect the regular menu items are just as good. Well worth it. Will be back.
Delicious meal with thoughtful, knowledgeable serve. Definitely will go again!
Trust the chef!!! Great 5 course plus wine pairing. Food was awesome and so fresh.
We love Noble and the fabulous staff and food.
Although the food was decent, service was terrible and it took a long time to get our food. My wife’s was hot and mine was like warm. We were the only table at first and although another table came 20 minutes after us they got their food first.
This is the third time we’ve been at Noble Bistro and each time we have not been disappointed.
We were initially reluctant to go back after hearing that the original chef was no longer there but we needn’t have worried as his replacement is as good! The food Adam and team put together for us was Delicious! We weren’t able to have their tasting menu which we had the first time we went, as you usually need to let them know you want it at booking time, but the food from the regular menu is still very appealing. Try the Beef Rib and Scallops and the Brussels Sprouts ... finish it off with their Toffee Pudding....you won’t be disappointed. Also, the service was stellar, thanks Tim.
One of the few real gems in Oakville.
Worth navigating through the construction to go there!
Our whole meal was recommended by our server. Appetizer - Brussels sprouts, dinner was the fish with ratatouille and dessert we had a sticky toffee pudding. Even out wine was really good. Great food, great service!!!
Food was well done and creatively assembled. Wine pairing was excellent. Server was knowledgeable and added to the experience.
We had the 3 course carte blanche. The chefs came to our table to explain the different courses and everything was delicious! The staff were lovely and made excellent wine pairing recommendations. Definitely planning to go back!
Overall was a great experience. It was unfortunately very quiet for a Saturday, which didn't help for the ambiance, but not sure if the construction around there had anything to do with it.
It was ok. server guided us on how to order our meat and it wasnt accurate so we received over done meat. So expensive meal that was soso. Ambiance was boring.
The service was excellent. The food ...wild boar...was very average if not poor especially for the price. We left to have dessert elsewhere.
Everything was very nice. The waiter was over the top fried and polite.
Long time Oakville resident, but first time at Noble. Tim, the bar manager was serving us on a quiet Sunday of the August long weekend. From the moment we walked in, Tim expertly guided us through both food and wine selections. Working with the very talented Justin, one of the co-chefs, they created one of the most interesting and memorable meals we have had in a ling time and on par with some of the very best meals we have had at other top restaurants in Oakville. We selected the Ontario themed 3 course meal and were blown away. Seasonal salad - perfect. Mushroom pasta (which was entree sized) - unbelievable. Scallops and beef tenderloin- fabulous! Justin took the time to bring out each course and explained where all of the ingredients came from and the inspiration for each dish, and the wine pairing Tim suggested was stunning and spot on. Bravo! We will be back soon.
