We went to Noble for our 18th anniversary dinner. Our server, Wayne, was amazing. Funny, knew his stuff and treated us very well. Kudos to the unsung heroes of the kitchen who made delicious food in a beautiful presentation and just the right portion size.
Our service was outstanding!! Our waiter Ralfel was attentive and very kind. Most certainly will return for another meal.
Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The entree accompanying portions is our complaint. Ordered the filet mignonette and the whipped parsnips consisted of a sipe across the plate, the cabbage shoots looked like garnish, the largest side portion was the shallots. The dish was overpriced for the dinner, the filet tasted fine and was cooked to my request, but nothing warranted a $50 charge. If you are going to charge that much, please have an actual entree size meal, or suggest to diners, that ordering side dishes will complete the meal.
Excellent restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff was exceptional. Our waiter was always around if we needed anything but he did not hover. It felt very personal as he knew our names and catered to our needs. The food was also top notch. Very nice setting for a private dinner.
Was by far one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have ever had. The food was outstanding.
Very special way to celebrate our Anniversary breakfast. Seating beside the windows. Food was excellent.
Fantastic service, with even better food. Easily one of the best meals I have had in a long time.
Too expensive for the food quality. Many better options in this venue.
Beautiful dinning room, excellent service from a knowledgeable, professional waiter and a superb meal. We had the chicken dish which was well presented, juicy and delicious. All-in-all a great dinner before theater.
I recommend Nobel.
Must experience. Lovely artwork in an elegant setting. BEAUTIFUL flowers out front. Comfortable chairs. Excellent service. However food was very disappointing. Crab salad consisted of 4 teeny-tiny crab claws ( about 1" of crab meat) on a few leaves of endive or frisee lettuce. Not tasty and not presented well.
Fish and Chips: fish was great but there is WAY too much breading, meaning there was twice as much breading as fish. the fries were great.
Dessert fruit plate was well presented, fresh and delicious. recommend.
The staff is polite and super efficient.
The whole staff were extremely welcoming. Our server in particular was a gem! Just food and general surroundings and ambiance was extremely enjoyable.
We consider this the best breakfast we’ve ever had service is amazing and on a clear summer day the view of the gardens is incredible.
The food as ordered was cooked to perfection. Everything was perfect.
On the other end we had expeced a wider choice of plates for a restaurant
of your stature. On the other end, the people having diner seemed to be pleased.
So,, maybe we are in the left field. But, we still enjoyd our meal a great deal.
Great place for romantic dinner
We had a reservation. Dressed to the nines to celebrate 3wonderful occasions.
We were sat 2 rows back from window. While 2 parties were in front of our view with shorts on.....probably walk ins!
Loved the service we received :) John had great stories about the hotel as well. A very special one year anniversary!
Fabulous restaurant! Romantic dinner for our 45th anniversary! Food was amazing!
Last night of our 2.5 weeks trip across Canada and our final stay was at the quaint Prince of Wales hotel. I had pre booked Noble before leaving the UK and did not know what to expect but it was a lovely end to a brilliant holiday. Our waiter was especially lovely, great friendly service and good food and wine. Thank you.
Great food. Fantastic service !!
Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and service! Will definitely recommend it to everyone!
Our meal was delicious, the bib lettuce salad, so fresh and lightly seasoned.
We both had the Cornish hens which was done perfectly with a lovely glaze.
Wayne our server was attentive but not hovering and very knowledgeable re. ingredients and wine.
Food, service and ambiance was exceptional and couldn't ask for a better location then the Prince of Wales
Had to wait a little bit to be seated
Very clean, old heritage style preserved
Very clean washrooms
Very good service, very courteous
Way too expensive
Very few vegetarian options
Not worth the money spent
Will not be going again
Service was very slow. No refills on water and the server did not ask if we wanted more pop/beverages. We asked the manager to refill our water. During our meal, our waters were, again, not topped up. Very poor service and the food was not worth the price whatsoever.
We stay at the Prince of Wales every summer. As part of a reservation package, we get a dinner package. Even without the package, this cuisine is worth every cent! Each dish is created with locally grown food. Each plate has a lovely presentation. We always enjoy this place and never leave disappointed.
This was one place in Niagara-On-the-Lake that we had never been to nor had any of our friends but on a previous trip. we thought the menu looked great and thought we would try it. It was a terrific experience both our waiter, a very charming Aussie and the Sommerlier, Fred were knowledgeable without the least condescension or pretension . The food was not only delicious but beautiful to look at. We will definitely return.
A lovely atmosphere and outstanding service is what you can expect at Noble. Entire experience was truly enjoyable and the highlight of our day at Niagara-on-the-Lake. Only note was my disappointment at being charged for "water". My Mom ordered Sparkling water which you of course expect to pay for, but I asked for flat water and was charged $10.00 for a bottle of Evian water. I wish I had been told that before. So be warned there.
I may not be familiar with Canadian cuisine, but I found it very odd to serve Arctic char with a slimy skin. I think the skin should either be crisp - or it should be removed.... and when the char is described as "seared" - I expected it to be crisp. It seemed as though the fish had been steamed or poached rather than seared. We also ordered beef tenderloin and found that (ordered "medium") to be overcooked. The dining room was too hot - although the weather was much to blame there. Service was very attentive - at times .... and hard to find at other times. Overall - I found it overpriced.
Lovely setting with excellent, attentive service. The chicken with sweet potato purée was delicious. My dining partner chose the spelt pasta, which was interesting, but not something he would choose again.
We will be back!
Placing a guest to have the sun in his eyes for an hour is inappropriate. My husband wore his hat indoors for that hour. Otherwise the food and service was outstanding.
Setting is very charming, airy with excellent ambient light and view of the park, flowers and street activity. Seating prompt with excellent attention to detail. Food was excellent with a first rate choice variety. Wine suggestions were appreciated and spot on. One would not be disappointed in dining here.
Noble is a very fine restaurant -- as you'd naturally expect to find at the Prince of Wales Hotel. The host, Nicholas, is very hospitable, and our server, Gerard, is truly excellent. The first course and our entrees were exceptional as were the desserts and wines. We will be dining at Noble every time we visit NOTL and the Shaw Festival. Thank you very much!
My wife and I dined at Noble last Monday night. We chose a special restaurant for a special evening. Noble has all of the unique and authentic charm one would expect from The Prince of Wales. Jared, our server, engaged us at the beginning of the evening and got a feel for our pace and dining preferences. He made helpful suggestions and checked in regularly. We ate leisurely diners, and Jared accommodated us. Our Sommelier, Fred, was helpful and gracious. He was especially helpful putting Niagara Region wines into the broader wine context, helping my wife and I to make decisions despite being unfamiliar with local offerings. The Venison and Arctic Char were wonderful. Jared’s temperature recommendation was spot on. We particularly enjoyed seeing the Venison served at a neighboring table and watching another diner take his first bite. I’m sure my face showed the same joy that his did! Food, service and ambiance ... with a surprise, or two, from a team that took the time to learn who we are at the very beginning of the evening.
It was very nice place . Unique food and unforgettable experience.
Had a very good dinner. Venison chop was outstanding. Tomatoes soup a bit too much garlic. Very attentive service from our server as well as the wine sommelier. Certainly the cream of the crop in NOTL.
Dirty place that need a full upgrade and better operation.
It was pub food in a fine dining atmosphere. And my fries were cold. The staff were eager to please but poorly trained and/or inexperienced. For a $200 lunch, including tip, I expected much more. We have been dining there for years and were very disappointed. We will not return.
The table placement was perfect -window view but in the shade, the service was attentive but not hovering, the food excellent!
I’m a frequent Nobel’s guest and compared to the previous lunch we had, this was a complete disappointment. Our server, Juan Carlos must be new to the job (understandable) that every time we have a question about the emu he would leave the table and ask someone. The dining area was very warm on a hot summer day as some of the guests close the window decided to open the windows for their convenience. The best part of dining here is that there’s “valet parking”. I’m not sure if I’ll be back.
This was a return visit for us. Since the last time, the name has changed (used to be called Escabeche), but absolutely nothing else about the experience. Definitely special and worth a visit. The portions are perfect...we hate taking "leftovers" as they are never as good as in the dining room. Service is efficient and pleasant without being overly obtrusive. Really enjoy the beautiful dining space...pleasant window and amazing art. Fred, the sommelier was very helpful in selecting our wine-listens to preferences, price range, meal pairing, and value.
