Restaurant week deal was very worth it! Our waiter was super nice, but the service was quite slow. Loved it otherwise!

Food was delicious and the service wonderful. All this was impacted because they significantly overbooked. At least 15 people waiting for their tables in the lobby - we had to wait 30 minutes for our table and it appeared they were seating non restaurant week tables prior as certain individuals were seated immediately.

We went for restaurant week, so the menu was limited, but the food tasted very... "Applebee's." The ambiance was pleasant and the service was amazing!

Visited the Las Vegas location and I was blown away with the service and quality. I had promised to take my son and had the opportunity this past weekend to celebrate his birthday. The experience was no less impressive than my first in Vegas. The quality of the food and the service did not disappoint.

I wasn't impressed with the 7 course meal Nobu claim it is known for. My wife and I did enjoy the time spent talking while waiting for the courses to come. Expect a good wait for the food to be prepared. It was our first time and for the cost had an expectation that food was going to be magnificent. Again, it wasn't what I expected. The dessert was good though. I wish I remembered what it was but at that point I was so restless from sitting I was ready to leave.

When the restaurant called to confirm the reservation i told them that this was for a birthday and the dtaff told me they could put the birthday persons name on the dessert in chocolate and have a candle. I confirmed this and also gave the bame of the birthday person. At the actual day this didnt happen. A huge dissappointment. I eould expect more in such restaurant. I also frel it is way overprizef.

This is a clear example that execution matters. Despite having the same menu as other nobu’s this nobu was absolutely terrible. The food was either seasoned too heavily or not enough. I ordered the nobu omakase and I can safely say I didn’t enjoy a single dish. I’ve been to other nobu’s before and ordered the same thing and the experience was completely different. The sushi rice was cold, hard, and void of any flavor. The miso cod and the steak was covered with so much sauce that I had to wipe it off with a towel to try to salvage it.

If nobu cares at all about his name on this restaurant he should either fix the operations with some level of qc or get rid of it. It is a disgrace to the nobu name.

Our Nobu DC experience was...AMAZING! Having eaten at both NYC locations multiple times, our expectations were properly set at a high level. To say that DC exceeded our previous experiences and expectations is an understatement. Our server, Adrian put together a custom menu for us and we did not have a less than fantastic bite the entire evening. Each course was perfectly prepared, portioned and spaced...making it difficult to choose a favorite. The barracuda was a standout, the salmon, the needlefish, duck flambé etc, etc. We certainly paid a premium for this experience but we knew what we were getting into as “Nobu veterans”. In the end, this was one of, if not THE best dining experiences we have ever had and that was more than worth it!

Sorry I wasn’t able to post this review earlier. I’m traveling to my 50th Birthday Party at the Nobu Caesar’s at Las Vegas on 1/1/2019. The dinner at Nobu in DC was magnificent! It was one of the best Nobu dining experiences I have ever had. Keep in mind that I’m a regular Nobu patron in Honolulu. I was served by twins who provided excellent service and they even looked at my previous dining experience in Honolulu and brought out a dish which was similar to the one in Hawaii. It gave me goosebumps to know that they went far beyond the Nobu standard. Keep doing what you’re doing Nobu DC and I will return soon.

Had to eat very quickly as I was due at a surprise bday party and had come from a film that had just ended a few blocks away . Staff was extremely accommodating to get us in and out in about an hour. Food was very good as always- but quite pricey too.

The food is outstanding. The chef was very accommodating of my son's gluten allergy. My only complaints are that the ambiance is drab and the wait staff was not very attentive considering the exorbitant cost of the meal. Why should we have to ask for water refills when we are paying $120 per person?

Our group of six celebrated my husband’s birthday. We had the classic tasting menu, cocktails and saki. The fish was quite good; mochi interesting flavors. The servers were friendly...some more knowledgeable than others about the food. But we felt that everything was rushed; one dish one on top of the other. Plates of some people cleared away before others in our party were finished eating. The check was plopped on the table after immediately after dessert was cleared, without even asking if we wanted tea or a final drink. I’ve been to other Nobu outlets - Beijing and NYC. Probably won’t return to this one.

I must admit, I was a bit disappointed in the appearance having visited other Nobo locations. There is no sort of ambiance but rather an office/business setting. We didn't feel as though we were dining in a restaurant of Nobu's outstanding reputation. The décor was very boring and appeared to be cheap.

I am from Maine, so I am very skeptical when ordering lobster anywhere but my summer home in Maine. I LOVE Nobu, and so excited when it opened next to my hotel, The Fairmont. I ordered my usual favorites for my dinner guests (I lived and worked in Japan), and added lobster tempura. It was DIVINE. Bravo!

The service and atmosphere was outstanding. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Having been to the Tokyo Nobu some of the local dishes were a bit off, such as the homemade tofu dish. The sesame sauce was overpowering and did not allow the subtle taste of freshly made tofu to be enjoyed. However, since most Americans consider the basic taste of tofu to be too bland, I guess this is an adjustment that Nobu makes for the DC palate. Perhaps, an alternative sauce with soy yuzu might highlight the roasted vegetables and fresh tofu more for a traditional Japanese palate. Sushi variety was nice but the cuts of fish was a bit skimpy, more like one would expect at a less pricey restaurant. As always, the Nobu salad was delicious and I liked the presentation where one mixes the dressing into the salad when you serve yourself — this ensures crispy baby lettuce. Welcome Nobu to DC!

I came to DC on business with my husband and wanted to have a really great meal for our one night in town. Nobu was recommended by a colleague, and they did not disappoint. Nicole, our server, was fantastic at customizing our experience. We loved how passionate she was about the food and how genuinely happy she seemed for us to try new things, since it was our first time there. Every course was beautifully plated, and the flavors were exceptional. I look forward to returning some day, and am excited to hear they are opening one in our hometown soon!!!
