Decor is very 90’s luxe, but it works. You feel transported. And the quality of food is amazing.
Georgetown family weekend so dinner w my daughter
Awesome! Perfect dinner for my mom’s birthday !!!
Awesome experience, so I will return in the near future.
Great food, great service.
The price point was high for having such a bad table. We continuously were bumped by patrons walking behind us. They definitely try to squeeze as many tables as they can. I will most likely go some where else in the future, unless I can guarantee a booth
The food and service were great. Be sure to order the sea bass (may want your own as it was so good no one wanted to share). Also loved the fried sticky rice with tuna tartare and the spicy fried shrimp. Very light. The mochi flavors were wonderful, but you have to like the texture of the mochi rice wrap. Highly recommend.
The DC experience omakase was definitely unique and special, but the timing of the experience was off. There was too much time in between dishes, which made the experience choppy and a little too long. Overall the whole meal took 2 1/2 hours. Flow was off, food itself was amazing.
I wish I would have read the reviews before choosing Nobu DC. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told the table wasn’t ready yet - we were a table of 2 and upon sitting down to wait, easily noticed dozens of tables open. Instead, we were eventually sat in the back of the restaurant in a large corner booth. We sat there for several minutes with no menu and this was the kick off to a night of poor service. The food was good but we saw our server sparingly throughout the meal - never asked how our food was, came back 20 minutes later to take drink orders and skipped on any and all pleasantries - no menu recommendations or information just “what do you want to order.” Had I not quickly asked for dessert we would have been immediately rushed out after our dinner was cleared. Such a strange, disappointing experience- it almost felt like we had to apologize for being there. After reading other reviews it’s clear this experience is exclusive to the DC location so I’m optimistic to try Nobu again in other cities, but would not recommend or visit this one again.
Great food, very clean and sanitized, great customer service and look forward to going back.
It took a minute to get going once seated, but once the server came out, service and food were OUTSTANDING! The tasting menu is the best option on the menu! We truly enjoyed our experience. The hostess was amazing too, young black woman.
expensive and each dish just average. good people watching but not worth it. look elsewhere.
Food was incredible! Experience was amazing and the Cocktails were delicious! Great place to go for a special occasion!
Had an absolute blast at Nobu DC! My boyfriend and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary there, and they made our night feel very special. We loved our waitress, she was extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
No complaints, food was great, service was great, the vibe was cool
Not the best sushi I have had. I guess I expected more from the quality of food. Our server was also a little off, kind of passive aggressive. We both felt it individually and shared notes. Will probably not go for food again. However noticed a nice collection of Japanese liquor at the bar, so maybe will go for drinks.
Not a lot of options are available if dining later at night. Waiters were very flexible and professional. Had a very pleasant evening dining atmosphere. Sushi wasn't that special. But the miso-marinated black cod was outstanding.
Over all the food tasted ok and the portions were good. I was expecting to find more options on the menu. My second water bottle was never delivered. I think the server was engaging only at the end of our meal and I didn't receive any details about the list on the menu when I asked specific questions.
Food was fantastic! The best freshest sushi! The Wagyu beef dumplings are a must have. We will be returning for sure.
Amazing food. Very poor service. Made us wait even with a reservation. Due to the wait, could not experience the 2 hour specialty experience they had. Wanted to get drinks while waiting for the table, but none of the waiters were helpful. We were located at a far away table and waitress forgot that we existed. We were located at a table near a 15+ party that were having a private party with loud music, which made the experience unpleasant.
Celebrated my son's 16th Birthday with family...the ambiance and upbeat lounge music playing set the mood for a wondering time had by all!!! When we arrived, the hostess immediately took us to a very nice round table set for 9 and our server immediately greeted us at the table. The serve small plates so our server was very helpful in providing larger portions for our table.
We started with Edamame, Rock Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce and Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura Sushi. The Rock Shrimp was not very spicy and became a favorite. The sushi was delicious bite size portions. All very yummy!
Next up we had Miso Soup with tofu, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna
King Crab Amazu Ponzu, Sushi (Uni, Softshell Crab), Wagyu Dumplings, Chicken, Shrimp & Beef Teriyaki skewers. All were amazing!
Next up, the Japanese A5 Wagyu prepared Flame style. The presentation was awesome. Very soft and tender and came with three different sauces. Well loved it.
For dessert we had the Mochi Ice Cream trio. The flavors were pistachio, cake batter and Lychee(?) All three flavors were good.
Can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes sit at some of the other really cool seating options.
I chose this restaurant for my Birthday dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Wagyu Beef which is worth every penny. The Lobster Shiitake Salad was to die for. We also had the mini wagyu & lobster tacos which are super Duper mini but a great bite nonetheless. Shrimp Tempura was Juicy and Crunchy. The Wait Staff was awesome‼️
Dinner was wonderful - great server and food was incredible!
Great food. Excellent service and not loud at all! Great drinks too!!
Nobu perfect as always.
My daughter lives & works in DC, and I visited overnight for my birthday. No better place to celebrate, delicious.
Food was on point. Ambiance on point. Made a 8:00 reservation only to wait and be sat at 8:25. I made the reso online And noted it was for a bday. The host even called me to confirm it was a bday. After dinner I suspected a bday dessert or surprise of some sort .. but swiftly was handed the check.
Great experience and it was my first time taking the family for my wife’s B-Day. Next time we are leaving the kids home but the experience, service, food and ambience was great. The drinks were on point too. I recommend the 25th & M!
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Food was quick. Lots of options. Service was amazing! Very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. A little pricey, but worth it. Definitely get the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the beef skewers.
Our server was incredible!
