My daughter lives & works in DC, and I visited overnight for my birthday. No better place to celebrate, delicious.
Food was on point. Ambiance on point. Made a 8:00 reservation only to wait and be sat at 8:25. I made the reso online And noted it was for a bday. The host even called me to confirm it was a bday. After dinner I suspected a bday dessert or surprise of some sort .. but swiftly was handed the check.
Great experience and it was my first time taking the family for my wife’s B-Day. Next time we are leaving the kids home but the experience, service, food and ambience was great. The drinks were on point too. I recommend the 25th & M!
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Food was quick. Lots of options. Service was amazing! Very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. A little pricey, but worth it. Definitely get the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the beef skewers.
Our server was incredible!
Ace was very helpful. Will definitely be back, hopefully Ace as our server.
My wife and I love Nobu. We’ve been to many locations including the Washington DC location. The food, drinks and ambience are generally very good. However the last two times I’ve been there the service has been very terrible. It’s really not at all commensurate with her Nobu locations, in a 90 minute dinner we saw our server three times, each time she seem to be rather annoyed despite us ordering upwards of $500 of food. This is not what we have experienced at other Nobu locations which are typically excellent however we likely will not go back to this location.
Had the best time at dinner tonight. The crispy rice with spicy tuna and the black cod with miso were our favorites. Our server Daniel was great and checked in on us throughout the dinner so that we could order more drinks and food. The busser Jean was extremely attentive & friendly, always there to refill our water and refresh our plates. We weren’t going to order dessert but Jean recommended the bento box and we were so happy we decided to listen to him because the matcha ice cream was delicious.
Pleasant, high-end sushi
We’ve been to the Nobu in Vegas and New York so we had a very high expectations!
The food and drinks did not disappoint and were amazing like always but the service however was the opposite.
The service was super slower and our server was all over the place.. we were there for almost 3 1/2 - 4 hours and one hour was waiting for 3 sushi dishes.. while other tables with different servers got there food pretty quick.
Celebrating our h
The food was great! Our server Zoey who we have had before was awesome. Very helpful, friendly and attentive.
I said at the bar while waiting for a table. The bar area wasn’t very crowded but the bartenders seemed to be busy. I ordered sushi and the lobster tacos which you had to get a minimum of two at $10 each. I was disappointed in the one bite lobster roll tacoIt was good but small. He can’t make that a meal for sure! Overall everything was good, not a great value for the money but the food was good.
The whole dinner was great and the wait staff was fantastic. We went for a birthday and they confirmed the name ahead of time to write a happy birthday on the desserts. Overall great experience.
We tried out Omakase and Kaseki menu many times, in Japan, CA, NYC, and DC. The offering from NOBU DC is underwhelming, and a bit too westernized. Sushi is outstanding though, among the best we had in DC. Ambience is boring.
One big disappointment is that we were put in a dark corner behind the check-in counter, although we requested a table near windows when making reservation. We were among the first two or three tables of patrons that night, and the place was near empty then. We didn’t protest, but that put a bad taste in the mouth: it’s clear that this team does not get the essence of fine Japanese dining, or understand the culture of Japanese service industry which strives to anticipate and to exceed customers’ expectations.
Was in a rush and they accommodated for our birthday party. Excellent food and service as always
Best sushi ever & definitely the best cocktails ever!!! Traffic getting there is another story😑no matter what location we visit & we’ve been to about 7……….everything is consistently wonderful ⭐️
Food is phenomenal and the wait staff is quick and attentive, impeccable service!!
Nobu DC is fine nothing more nothing less. Prices are exorbitant for what it is but that’s Nobu everywhere. The problem is there’s just no atmosphere there, they rush you in and out and for what they charge it’s just not worth it.
Excellent food, great service. Portions too small, only constructive feedback
Perfect dinner to celebrate a special day or an accomplishment. Light yet satisfying meals with lots of different layers of flavors. This is more for a whole dining experience. Food was amazing and service was exceptional.
Service and food were amazing. We had a late reservation and were disappointed to learn that they were “done” with the dumplings for the night and were informed midway through our meal of “last call”for food. In short we were rushed through our meal. If late reservations have a hard stop at a certain time, that should be disclosed at the outset. We probably would have still taken the reservation but at least would have been prepared for a compromised experience.
NOBU was a great restaurant, and I would return for another occassion.
Great meal. We chose to have the chefs create our meal, and it was a huge success for our entire table.
Fabulous food, speedy and friendly service, beautiful place
Sushi was overpriced for what it was. The $12 California roll didn’t even come with masago and was mediocre in flavor. The spicy tuna tacos were the clear star of the meal. The 5 Wagyu beef dumplings for $32 were not worth it.
We enjoyed the tasting meal, which was very good. But it was not so special that it was worth the price.
Best meal I've had at Nobu. All my favorites, especially the sushi and sashimi.
My favourite restaurant ever! Thank you for always making my experience amazing no matter what location I’m at! My pre birthday dinner was absolutely amazing
By far the best dining experience I’ve experience. Waitress was great. Food came out timely. Presentation was immaculate.
