Nobu Downtown | Bar & Lounge
Awesome! Great food, great location.
The lunch in the Bar Lounge is a great experience as well as a great deal. Service is prompt and as wonderful as any evening at Nobu for the experience and food.
The service in the bar area is rough.
I had to keep getting up to ask for water , soy sauce -none on the table at all?? Another drink . The wait staff was constantly running around so they looked busy- but then when you watched they were running around empty handed - it was odd and annoying.
It is always a great experience at the Nobu Downtown. Great staff and food is always quality.
Our server was excellent, he recommended great food.
Took a dear friend here to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter took the time to explain the whole menu and gave recommendations. Everything was amazing! You won’t be disappointed !!
We waited too long for my main course, I was not angry when it finally arrived
Another amazing lunch at NoBu, as usual the food was fantastic as was the service.
The service was very slow and didn’t get food all together but when we got our food it was really good
I come here often for work dinners and usually sit downstairs. I had high hopes for my wife’s first visit but despite making a reservation we were sat directly in front of the door / waiting area on a 30 degree evening. Not only were we cold but we also were constantly surrounded by guests waiting to be seated. Very disappointed with the experience and will think twice before returning
Overall pretty good meal. Not sure it is worth 5 stars, but a solid 4 stars. Our seat had a pretty bad draft and it took a little time to be waited on - but the quality of the service was great. Would recommend.
I came for Valentine's. The hostess gave me a great seat on my requests exactly. Nothing stuffy.
Waiter was busy but courteous.
Food very good.
Nobu Downtown’s bar/ lounge has one of the best pre- fixe lunch menus and the service is always very good.
Excellent experience. Lives up to the hype. 100%
The bar area is light and open, and the restaurant week menu was diverse and delicious.
Nice place for fancy look. Without restaurant week, there is $35 prefix 3 courses lunch menu, and restaurant week $26 for two courses. It you want to have the 3rd course then you have to pay extra $15 up. Sounds tricky.
Had higher expectations.
The food was delicious! The service was a little slow and not proactive (I didn't have water for most of my meal). The atmosphere is fancy but comfortable.
Always a great place for dinner. Food is fantastic and service excellent. A+
Great experience, great service.
Just be more clearer on which Nobu is for restaurant week and which is the actual restaurant. First time around we got kicked out for booking the same location but different floor.
I went for the winter restaurant week lunch and was not happy with the Tofu dish at all. It was terrible and cold and bland.
Very over hyped. Good quality ingredients for sure. The best Miso soup I’ve ever had but not any where near worth the money. Maybe my expectations where to high? I thought it would be an experience but it was just a good (tiny) meal.
Service excellent, as per usual!
The food is Always Amazing and Beautifully presented
We had lunch, it was great. Unique food with a twist that brings the senses to life.
Restaurant Week menu was very tasty.
It's Nobu, of course the food is amazing. What sets Nobu Downtown aside is the decor and landscape of the lounge, it adds to the experience. If you are on a budget, go there for lunch. They have great lunch specials that really showcase some of their signature dishes.
The only restaurant that we go back to every year for Restaurant Week amazing food at a bargain price.
Very good quality, but because we were doing the bar menu, for lunch I would say the portions could be more than appetizer-size for the price, especially being prix fixe. Not looking for a big meal, but ...
Beautiful setting. Food is great as at every other location.
Nice ambiance but food was nothing to write home about. My son and I ordered from the NYC Winter Restaurant Week menu. The 1st courses were fine but the 2nd courses were mediocre. The skirt steak had very little meat taste; it was rather overwhelmed by the anticucho sauce. Similarly, the Arctic Char had very little taste and I don't mean the lack of salt. There was no fish taste. I couldn't help but kept thinking about eating Onigiri rice balls from a Japanese supermarket but at Nobu.
First off - the service was great. There aren’t too many convenient downtown restaurants with service like this.
My friend and I ordered off the lunch menu - which includes a soup and a salad. Both were delicious.
My friend loved his tofu entree.
However I ordered the $45 chefs selection sushi. It was disappointing. Was basically the same basic tuna, salmon, yellowtail sushi assortment you’d get at any corner sushi place in Manhattan. Nothing special about it at all. Expecting more.
Excellent experience. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and customer focused. Bottle of wine was expensive but no issue with that as his is Nobu. Will definitely return and will recommend to friends.
As usual Nobu hits the special spot. Took my wife for a lunch and it was perfect.
As we are regulars for dinner - casual and special occasions this turned a lunch into a special occasion.
Perfect service. Nobu qualities throughout.
Wait staff was completely inattentive and food just didn’t come out in a reasonable time.
Our server was great but felt restaurant was understaffed. A number of items we ordered never came. Our octopus was overcooked. Not what I would expect from a Nobu restaurant.
Great! awesome restaurant!!
Probably the worst customer service I've ever had at a restaurant in recent memory. It took 70 minutes until our dessert came. We were on time for our reservation and the place was empty. The waitress seemed to know little about the food and care even less. It was like we were at a food court.
Too cold and too loud. Prices too high for lack of value.
Great food. Pretty busy during lunch so there were moments of waiting between courses. But overall a wonderful experience.
