Black Cod Miso
Very professional. Excellent service. Exquisite food.
Overall food was pleasant.
Although one of the meat dishes from the omakase was over seasoned and slightly unbalanced, as well as the king prawn nigiri not meeting the standards of the other nigiri, everything else was an enjoyable experience. I particularly recommend the chocolate bento box, the green tea ice cream was superb!
Booked for a friends birthday meal and actually feel embarrassed as it ignored when it’s an option to select when booking. I’ve been to nobu many times previously and Im not sure if the waiter we had just hates his job or was rude but I will never be returning to this nobu again
We had booked special offer from Open Table & when we arrived we were told there was no such offer. This has happened to us before at the Helix, Gherkin also.
Finally we had Bento box which was very good n filling. The restaurant looks jaded in decor n the waiter was sullen n not very good in service as he dropped water on on the table while pouring in the glass.
Please ensure that your offers are genuine n remains valid for the booking.
The bento box was not good at all
Worst Nobu I’ve ever been to. Looks like an airport cafeteria. No reason for it to even exist anymore
The staff was excellent and the quality of the food was amazing, super fresh and full of flavor
Even though the food was really tasty the restaurant environment is very poor compare to many other in central london. This was a disappointment as for what you pay (overpriced) you expect to be sited in a more cozy or modern restaurant.
Great food, restaurant interiors are dated, needs a facelift
The service was good and staff were friendly, very good location. We visited Nobu before and always enjoyed our meal.
Absolute fantastic!! The food is incredible. Our server was very knowledgeable.
A little rushed! Would be good if given an impression to relax - felt we had to order quickly.
Went to Nobu for our anniversary lunch and I have to admit I was a bit disappointed- the ambience wasn’t great. It seemed quite bare and unimpressive vs what one was expecting given its reputation. Food and service was very good but I probably wouldn’t pick it for a occasion venue.
Had the most amazing experience. Food and service were out of this world. Will definitely return!
Food was excellent as always, service was appalling - waiters arguing amongst themselves in front of clients, totally unprofessional.
The service was great, that's for sure. However the inside looked like a Zizzi's or Nandos. The food was ok, but I think you could get this stuff for 60% of the Nobu price easily
Really disappointed, the service was so bad I asked to have it removed from the bill. Fillet steak that should have been cooked medium came blue and when sent back the sliced meat had been thrown back on the grill and was well done and chewy. We have dined at Park Lane at least 100 times, but this will be the last. We will favour Portman Square going forward where the staff are welcoming and attentive
Excellent food and outstanding service, friendly and efficient.
Food was phenomenal! 100% recommend good variety to suit the fussiest eaters!
I had the lunch set menu, there actually wasn't a menu as such rather a waitress orating what we would be served. She had a mask on so it was very hard to understand her. When I was served raw sushi, which may come as a surprise I was not expecting I called the waitress over to explain I dont eat raw fish. She said it was too late to change, and I could not swap it for the vegetable sushi. The main arrived and sadly it wasn't much to write home about, lacked flavour and character. I ended up ordering lobster tempura on top of my meal, which actually was delicious hence I've added an extra star. But I am amazed that I was made to pay for seafood sushi of which I ate nothing. I was refused an alternative and was not compensated in any way. Very dissapointing experience. Also absolutely no ambience here, looked like a canteen. Much better places available to eat in London.
The 5 course meal was a lovely way to try this restaurant. Gave us a taste of so much, really delicious great service and we highly recommend
Very noisy room and service a bit slow .
The food and quality of food was excellent which was reflected in the price. Hoarder the ambiance and service was not as expected
I have been to this Nobu many times and the service and ambience has been progressively worse. We were seated at the bar and after 15 minutes we finally managed to get the waiter's attention and order some drinks. This despite the various waiters hovering around but no one gave us a look. A group of girls were sat next to us and were served much better and asked what they wanted to drink after a matter of couple of minutes. I am trying not to look too deep into that. Then our sushi was very very delayed although our desserts were free I noticed the table next to us got their sushi immediately! Food is still amazing but service is bad and I didnt realise that Nobu now allowed hooligan behaviour as there was a table who were chanting football songs
Incredible experience!! Food was amazing, lots of variety, service was spot on, everything great!
Amazing value set lunch, highly recommended.
I have been a long-time Nobu customer but this most recent visit on my birthday was the most disappointing ever.
The menu has been dramatically reduced. Lots of dishes are no longer available at lunchtime, including the much-loved tacos.
Our children usually enjoy the Chicken Kushiyaki but this was not available. Our favourite Wagu dumplings had also disappeared from the menu.
The cocktails were poor and tasted strange compared to normal.
Our waitress explained that many staff were still on furlough until October and that as a result they have some new inexperienced staff. This really showed and changed what is usually a 5-star experience into something very mediocre.
We cannot understand why some dishes are available for dinner but not lunch. Tacos are an easy sell, effectively an additional course at the start of the meal.
During our meal we noticed another table leave the restaurant after being told many items were not available and we saw other diners complaining about the lack of availability of various dishes. The overwhelming feeling was that most diners were disappointed to one extent or another.
Come on Nobu, Covid and Brexit is not an excuse. Furloughing staff now is ridiculous. If your staff are too lazy to come to work then fire them. Your prices are the highest in the market so incentivise new staff that want to work to join you and offer above average rates of pay.
What used to be brilliant is now rocketing downhill. I hope the management are reading this and will take action.
Excellent on all levels. The most refined and delicious food!
Wow what an amazing place. The staff were so helpful and the food amazing. Ok so it's small plates full of tasty bits and the whole experience was just great.
The knowledge or the waitress was superb and even a taste of the sauses so you didn't order something that was not to your taste.
I think I had logged as a special occasion and yet we didn’t get the feeling of special occasion or anything out of the normal. Apologies if I didn’t log this down as a special occasion but it’s worth double checking. Also the veg bento box which was on special offer didn’t feel like it had the variety we had in the seafood bento box which is a shame. We fed back there and then.
To balance this - seafood meal and overall cocktails were excellent of the highest standard. The desserts were excellent and of the highest standard.
Would I book again? Maybe not as I might try a similar priced restaurant that may just be a little bit more attentive to the veg menu.
Great atmosphere, despite being midweek. Good advice from the staff on food choices. Robert, who looked after us the whole evening, was perfect. The pace of delivery of the food was well judged - not too fast, not too slow. The food itself was sublime: the wagyu tacos and the black cod miso, in particular. All round special experience.
Overpriced for the overall atmosphere and food. Disappointed.
Mediocre food at high prices, restaurant lacked atmosphere.
The staff are very helpful and professional. One of the most elegant and high-class restaurants of London
I would say it was the best food I have ever tasted, loved it all and very freindly and Informative staff will 100% return
We went as a birthday treat and enjoyed our dining experience here.
We went for the tasting menu, food was delicious and arrived quickly. The portion sizes were on the smaller side so worked out on the pricey side for what you get.
The decor was a little disappointing, for the prices involved it didn't have the wow factor I expected, but on the flip side you don't eat the decor...
The staff were all very polite, and helpful and allowed covid safe practices very well.
Will likely dine at Nobu again someday, but would go to one of the other two restaurants in London.
Food and service were both outstanding. Can’t say enough good things about the restaurant and the staff
The food is absolutely amazing, great quality and fantastic flavours. Tried the black cod miso, tempura shrimp and the sushi selection and these were really tasty. Attention to detail during service is obvious , waiting a little longer at times between requests but nothing upsetting. This would be a truly 5 star experience if the decor would be aligned with the quality of the food and the price charged (it’s not just the wasabi that makes your eyes water by the end of the experience 😅). Overall, a great food experience, would try those dishes again in a heartbeat.
I strongly believe that the wagyu tacos that I was presented with were fantastic, an orgasmic sensation with every bite.
