Nobu - London
With its own street entrance on Old Park Lane, the 150 cover restaurant includes a separate sushi bar and enjoys commanding views across Hyde Park through full-height windows. Designed with simple elegance by United Designers, the interiors make subtle use of light woods and natural stone to reflect the diverse influences of Nobu's cuisine, incorporating the purity and quality materials inherent of traditional Japanese design.
Beef was tough, beef quality was poor and lacked flavor
Sushi wasn’t fresh
Service was great
Overpriced for the quality of the food
Absolutely loved everything about Nobu , it was expensive but worth every penny , food was delicious and everyone was so well educated about the dishes and our waiter gave excellent recommendations. We were there for several hours and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Wow this was absolutely amazing. Everything was fantastic. We’ll be back
We went for the set lunch menu . Great selection to chose from. The puddings were unavailable & substituted with a scoop of ice cream which was disappointed. We were slightly tucked away again a little disappointing as I had booked a long way in advance .
One of the worst experience I ve had at a nobu. One of my favorite restaurants and this location was horrible service .. I was very much disappointed
Been to the Nobu on Berkeley Street, thought I’d try the one on Old Park Lane. Restaurant interior looked very tired, could do with renovation to bring it to 2019. Service was non-existent with first waitress. Seemed really busy had to follow up twice to get attention. We had a second waitress who was much better. Food was good to be fair but there are so many good Japanese restaurants in London now that I felt the overall experience was not worth the price I paid. Would not go again.
Always an excellent time with good service, excellent food and cocktails, and a lot of fun. The decor is a little shabbier than its newer counterparts- it could do with a refurb or at least refresh, but that doesn’t ultimately take away from the excellent times to be had at Nobu Park Lane! It is expensive, but you know that when you go.
Wonderful - great place for a group - there were 9 of us as sharing dishes are great.
Host Pedro was fantastic re choices - having to save up for next visit as wine very expensive.
Food delicious !!!
Impromptu afternoon, evening in London culminated with casual dinner at Nobu Old Park Lane.
We arrived just before opening, however no concerns, they happily provided us drinks from the bar and still gave us a warm welcome.
It surprised us all that shortly after we sat at our table virtually the whole restaurant filled up, yet at no time, other than the bubbling atmosphere, we hardly noticed the number of people that had arrived.
We had two great people looking after us, extremely informative about the dishes and great recommendations on what to choose and also the best way to eat it!
We go to many top restaurants around the world, but currently for food, atmosphere and service NOBU Old Park lane is at the top of our list.
The service was excellent the food was wonderful. Highly recommend it to anyone for a lovely night out.
Had a lovely time perhaps a bit rushed but the food was delicious
Always come away having had great food experience and a fabulous time!
The Noise level was a little more then "energetic", but the waiter spent so much time explaining various dishes, options and even the wines only to be matched by the awesomeness of the food
Plain menu and high prices. Ridiculous charges for 4 small glasses of white wine (116GBP). Nothing really special about the place and there was no ambiance.
Very poor quality. Sushi no flavor. Cheap takeaway tastes better. Had chef selection. Very over priced for quality. No ambiance.
First off we always enjoy Nobu in NYC & Washington, DC and have ben many times. London was just as good and had excellent service except it was a little on the noisy side but not overly distracting. I can say it was the best meal we had in London and the location was nice and close to our hotel. Looking forward t trying other Nobu's in other parts of the USA and world as we travel.
Came to celebrate my anniversary. It was our first visit and experience with Japanese food. The waiter , Paulius, was exceptional in explaining the menu and was very attentive.
Food was excellent, would definitely recommend again.
My favorite restaurant world wide, and London certainly did not disappoint.
I have been to Berkeley St Nobu and prefer that one for atmosphere as opposed to Park Lane which we visited on 29th Sept 19 for a birthday meal, Park Lane to me felt more business like. The food was excellent!!
Excellent service, great ambiance and delicious food, as always. The menu has changed, mostly expanded. We tried the aubergine with ponzu sauce and it was delicious.
Amazing food every time I come. We had the Park Lane tasting menu en wow that was absolutely an experience! Love it and will definitely be back!
The food in Nobu is excellent. I was visiting London this past weekend and it was fantastic as always, the service is very good but our waiter this weekend, Darren, was truly exceptional.
Nobu park Lane is to crowdy. Nobu Berkely street is much better
Insanely expensive, not worth of skimpy courses and taste.
Extra service charges than normal
Nothing special at all
Highly disappointment on my partner's birthday. Was waiting for this day and place for a long time and ended up with a massive disappointment.
Old Park Lane lost it's sparkle.. The food and ambiance is not the same as it was when it just opened.. Compared to LA also the food is less fresh and good. Disappointing and needs shaking up!
I normally go to Nobu Parklane about 2-3 times a year and it has always been very good. This time though I was very disappointed because the staff tried to cheat us on three occasions. We ordered a glass of rose champagne for aperitif and we were given white champagne instead. We, of course, asked it to be changed. Then we ordered a big selection of a la carte sushi and sashimi to share, about a dozen different positions on a big tray. One of the most expensive sashimis - jumbo sweet shrimp was missing. We pointed this out to the waitress who was very surprised and looked unhappy about us telling her that. They brought the missing dish on a separate plate in about 20 minutes time. And finally we ordered a bottle of Burgundy 1-er Cru Chassagne Montrachet 2017. They brought us a bottle of Montrachet 2017 of the same producer, but a regular one, not 1-er Cru, which was £50 cheaper. We noticed that as well and told the waitress to change it. Every time we told the staff about their mistakes they seemed very unhappy and made it look as if they were doing us a favour when they corrected them. Be careful with checking your orders and always check your bill. Maybe we were just unlucky on that Sunday evening, but given the prices and position of this restaurant, they should do better.
Service was very poor. Waiter abrupt. Have been to Nobu a few times and the food was not up to par this time. Also, they need to invest in their toilets - no excuse to have filthy toilets.
First visit to Nobu London. Have been to Nobu Tokyo and Nobu Dubai before.
All was fine! Only exception: Fiji still water in plastic bottles!
The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding and the venue was, yes you guessed it, outstanding.
As alway good standard of food but slightly over priced.
Amazing sashimi and the black cod is famous for good reason.
Great experience in an excellent location. Food was top-notch and the service was impeccable. Both Nobu locations in the Mayfair area of London are worth checking out.
Nobu is a pleasant enough place, with reasonably good food, but at a price. That price presumably pays for the atmosphere and the feeling that you're eating somewhere very special. The service was excellent - the food OK, but I've had as good for a quarter of the price. They ask you in advance for special requirements such as dietary, but when I checked on the day they weren't able to accommodate mine. The irony was that after much fussing and apologising, it turned out that they had precisely the right thing on their menu a month ago, but took it off. So, one asks, had they forgotten how to make it? Ho-hum.
We have a food allergy and the waiter was very well prepared and kept us informed throughout the night. We were impressed!
Amazing food and service! Trendy evening spot for dinner. Expensive, but the dishes were outstanding. Surprisingly casual decor as everything else was top notch.
I’ve been here many times before and had great food and great service but this lunchtime was not good at all and we actually left after a couple of dishes had arrived. Our waiter was rude, completely unhelpful when we asked some questions about the menu and also really patronising in his responses. The food that was brought was terrible - avocado salad looked like it had been sat there ready prepared for a while, salmon sat in some soy sauce looked unappetising. The water was not chilled and despite the restaurant being almost completely empty the food took a long time to come out. Waiters stood around chatting and looking bored. All in all the place seems to have let the standards slip, or maybe it was early on a Tuesday lunchtime after the bank holiday and everyone was taking a while to get going. Either way not acceptable for the prices that they charge which is a shame as we have always had a great time in there previously.
We all had the vegetarian set menu, defo worth trying. All the portions were generous and the food was delicious.
Very bad senior management attitude, forced me to leave the table from the first serving and now trying to report it to corporate Nobu. The senior management did not care about my complaint twice even though I am a regular customer for years a d they can or verified my account with them at this location.... still both managers did not care to my complaint.... after all customers are always right! I had to leave with my other 5 members of the family very upset and absolutely a terrible dinner experience at a great place....
Our server did not seem keen to offer us the Erabu menu, and we had to specifically ask for it. It took us a while to be able to ask for the check as she paid most of her attention to a table of what seemed to be regular customers.
Flavours seemed a little more strong compared to my last visit, but we enjoyed our food overall, particularly the scallops with yuzu truffle.
