Nobu - London
With its own street entrance on Old Park Lane, the 150 cover restaurant includes a separate sushi bar and enjoys commanding views across Hyde Park through full-height windows. Designed with simple elegance by United Designers, the interiors make subtle use of light woods and natural stone to reflect the diverse influences of Nobu's cuisine, incorporating the purity and quality materials inherent of traditional Japanese design.
One of the worst dining experiences ever and even more disappointed as we had such high expectations. The service was absolutely appalling. We were left for 20 minutes before being able to order drinks and nearly 20 minutes more for them to arrive. Absolutely no interest from staff in providing a positive experience and whilst the food was very nice it was just that. We were expecting something exceptional which simply wasn’t delivered which resulted in very very poor value for money. Do not waste your time going here. London has so much better on offer.
Fabulous double birthday celebration for my daughter. Food amazing. Great service from our waiter. Helpful and reserved in equal measure. Love it here. A firm favourite
Horrible service and very poor quality O Toro fish, poorly cut. I real disappointment. Our waiter had an attitude, he took forever to even give us water. Extremely over priced for the experience we had.
Lovely Valentines Dinner, great service, food and ambience, a special evening. Make sure you book!
Fantastic ! Nobu parklane is far superior than the Club
I have been to nobu in the past and had a great experience. The service on this occasion was terrible we was given our main meals and was not given our broccoli early but very late so we ended up cancelling it as it was no point eating it alone.
We order chicken skewer and I informed the waitress that they were very salty no action was taken but we was still left to pay for the meal.
A great venue but unfortunately let down with the food on this particular night and service
Felt a bit like an airport restaurant. Food was delicious and staff very attentive but i think you would get better value for money in terms of ambience and value for money
Great place with good food.
A bit noisy, but otherwise great place
Usual high quality food
The staff was very good in giving us the cornder table requested as well as putting a candle in the cake since it was a birthday celebration, many thanks for this!
Overall good place and great food, but very expensive
Our experience was lack luster. The food was delicious, however the poor service and unpolished interior ruined the experience.
The food was excellent but the restaurant is dated and the washrooms filthy and very dated.
Poor service, being ignored by waiter most of the time, food was tepid, not recommended sorry, I'm not satisfied
Muy buena idea comer en la barra
It was our Chinese New Year dinner - and this was our fifth time back in Nobu Park Lane. The food was the usual awesome standard. Uni was in season and the uni tacos were fantastic.
Excellent food and services. The pornstar martini was £20, £6 more than other cocktails.
Fuelled by the Memory of Former Glories.
I had heard good things about this restaurant and was really excited to eat here. We were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff that showed us to a table at the quieter end of the restaurant. So a good start. However, walking through this place one couldn't help but liken it to a college dinning hall. Very little in the way of decor and artwork. They have crammed a lot of tables into this place and, regrettably, it seems to have been at the expense of the character the place could do with, in my view. Very bland. Once seated, we were given a good explanation of what was on offer by our server and our drinks were delivered quickly. We opted for two taster menus and awaited them with anticipation. The first course was delicious and filled us with hope and the confidence that we had chosen wisely. However, it went from the sublime to the average very quickly with only two more of the seven courses offering any sort of redemption. One of the courses, a noodle dish, I would file under terrible. Certainly not what you expect from a restaurant of this stature and price tag. I've had better noodles in Itsu. As the evening went on, I began to wonder if this restaurant was the relic of a bygone era and judging by some of the other reviews I have read since that would seem to be the case. The one part of evening I cannot fault is the service. The waiting/front of house staff were excellent and the "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on our deserts was a nice touch.
If you want an evening with outstanding Japanese cuisine and a taster menu that blows you away, then you should go to Roka. Nobu, despite its reputation, simply doesn't compare and nowhere does it deliver the all-round experience that you want from restaurant that puts a £300 + bill in front of you at the end of the evening. What's the point if it doesn't do that?
Food was amazing, the sommelier was very nice but missed on the selection. Surprised at how loud it was, but overall still very good.
This was disappointing. It feels like u are in a school cafeteria...zero ambiance or decor. We had the worst service, waiter spilled soy sauce when giving us menus, I cleaned it up with my napkin and then didn’t get a new napkin or soy until 10 minutes later when I had to ask for it. Drinks were very slow in arriving and there was zero follow up from any of the seemingly endless number of staff milling about on the food, were we happy etc. For 200£ for two people (only one drink each, no dessert) it was shockingly poor experience. The food is good, but it doesn’t matter because everything else is absolutely sub par. We will not be returning...
I was tasked with choosing a restaurant to entertain family friends we had over from America and I just knew Nobu would not let me down! Having been to the Berkeley St and Dubai restaurants, this was my first visit to the 'original' London based offering, and it was brilliant. The service, the atmosphere, the food, the clientele and the surroundings all impressed, leaving a lasting impression on my guests!
Special shout out to Ivan (our waiter) - he was extremely helpful throughout and his knowledge of the menu certainly steered us in the right direction on many occasions.
Definitely coming back soon.
This wasn't our first visit to Nobu, but sadly we had the same impression when we left.
When we arrived, it was a while before anyone came to our table to greet us. We were sitting in a draft from the stairs so we moved tables and that seemed to cause some confusion with the change over. The restaurant in always noisy and the table are close together - so much so that you get knocked when anyone walks between tables. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and is very brightly lit. The food is good enough, but not worth the price tag.
Back to its best, fabulous service, buzzing atmosphere...and the food was exceptional. The non alcoholic cocktails were a big plus for us. Great to see well mannered children eating with parents and mixed generational gatherings. A special place for all.
It was good
Excellent food. Very expensive.
Service is usually excellent but
fell short this time.
Never disappoints! Always great food and great service.
It was a nice place to enjoy Japanese food.
(Restaurant beaucoup trop brouillant )
First impression very poor. For a culture with such an incredible tradition of exquisite design the entrance, the reception area and the restaurant area was appalling. The place needs a massive overhaul and some design input. Eating out is a combination of place and food. I thought they were relying on a reputation but no longer delivering something exceptional. The food did not blow me away; some was very good some ordinary.
Food disappointing with my partner actually violently sick when she returned home.
Some the waiters need to be advised on personal hygiene even if it is only some under are spray and maybe a shower before coming to work.
Nobu Park Lane continues to deliver top quality food with a great hospitality. Many thanks to the great staff.
It was my friends birthday so thought of going for park lane menu which was 7 course and best of the best of Nobu but we were so disappointed with the location , as New Yorker we were expecting the ambience to be similar but it was so boring and so pale . We were dressed and kind of sad to get in to a casual place . Otherwise everything else was good
The food and service were impeccable. Our waiter offered some great dish suggestions and ensured our glasses were topped up at all times. Our seats were rather close to other diners but apart from that we enjoyed every bit of this experience.
Very nice wooooow
Mother daughter trip to London from USA. Dinner was delicious & our waitress was very kind & attentive.
Good for sharing
New Years dinner
First noticeable thing was the service, which is outstanding. The food is very tasty and well balanced. Had an amazing at Nobu and will definitely eat there more often
Good place, good service but regular sushi, nothing special.. will also go there for the newyears eve
