Pioneered and created by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the iconic Nobu menu is influenced by his years of studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and his extensive travels.

What Insiders Are Saying
London’s third Nobu, hidden away in the basement of their self-named hotel in Shoreditch. The space is impressive and the menu is predictively pricey.
Great food and good atmosphere, strongly recommend the seafood!
Buffet is not really my thing, unless they really know how to do it with style, but the food was nice and the waiters were friendly and attentive.
Desserts were supreme! and the fish was fresh! the main macha waffle with chicken was not really the main dish I would expect from Nobu.
Great food and drinks but expensive, not somewhere you can afford to go on a regular but great for an occasion.
I was really disappointed with the dining experience which was slow - we had to wait a while for our drinks and the overall experience was not aligned with my numerous other Nobu experiences. The experience felt far from luxury and more aligned to an after work crowd and I was left very disappointed that a special occasion meal felt far from that despite paying luxury prices . I wouldn’t suggest for special occasions but more come for after work drinks.
Great food great service an all round great restaurant
Treated amazingly by the shoreditch branch and helped me on my special occasion - popping the question. Food perfect as always. Attentive service. Good value. 10/10
Very friendly helpful staff, pleasant room although some may not have a great view, lovely bathroom. Food was fantastic although a little pricey. Would stay there again.
rapidly becoming my favourite nobu . makes park lane look very dated . great food good service like it
We had a fantastic time at Nobu Shoreditch. The restaurant and bar area is beautifully designed and had a fantastic vibe. We were welcomed by staff and shown to our table with a beautiful view in to the kitchen. We opted for the tasting menu as we hadn’t been before and were blown away by the food. Even though the bookings have a 2 hour window we were never rushed through or made to feel like we had to hurry. Would thoroughly recommend a visit!
Never fails to impress. Great food and service. The best thing about Nobu is the consistency across all its outlets.
Black Miso Cod was super tender and cooked to absolute perfection as were the scallops! Awesome chefs here.
The ambience was good, great food and superb friendly service. We were seved by Miguel (?) who was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends and family.
We dined here for breakfast. The breakfast menu prices were very reasonable considering it is a high end restaurant, however the food was mediocre.
I would not recommend the Yuzu pancakes as they were nothing spectacular. They didn't taste bad, but they weren't worth ordering either.
The Matsuhisa Benedict was a unique dish that looked attractive and tasted delicious. The tofu with the snow crab was a nice combination of flavours.
The Nobu-style English breakfast was not something I'd come back for, "Japanese Kurobuta Sausage" tasted like Frankfurters and in fact I couldn't finish these as they just tasted cheap, which shouldn't be the case with Kurobuta sausages.
The coffee was lovely, but then again that should be a given in any reputable place in London.
Overall the staff seemed pleasant. However some points to mention are as follows.
- We weren't offered water when we sat down, which would be the norm anywhere.
- I wasn't given the correct cutlery during the meal. The waitress overheard me complaining about this and solved this quickly.
- The toasted tofu buns that should arrive with the English Breakfast were brought to the table more than half way through our meal, with no apology. The restaurant was nowhere near at capacity - about six tables were occupied - which makes me wonder how many orders are late during a busy evening service.
- We had an issue with the bill which we had to address, but this was fixed in a timely manner.
- During our meal service, we had three different waiters/waitresses, which might be why cutlery wasn't replenished and food was forgotten.
- One of the hosts couldn't find our items in the cloakroom, therefore we stood around waiting for five minutes until our original host came back to retrieve it.
Considering Nobu is known as a world renowned restaurant, it really didn't seem the case. I won't be visiting again, not even for dinner. I will stick to Roka and Zuma.
I have never been so upset in a restaurant as I was on 28.07.18. It was my husbands birthday and the evening was suppose to be a special one. When we ordered our food I specifically informed the waitress that due to allergies I could not have shrimps and that I did not want any food that is mixed with alcohol. An hour later all that had arrived was edamame beans. The waitress then came and informed us that what we had ordered to arrive next was actually marinated in alcohol. Having waited an hour myself and my husband were absolutely furious. We then spoke to the manager who said he would bring out some food in the next few minutes as an apology however this did not happen in a few minutes after waiting an hour and a half we made the decision to leave the restaurant. The waitress was more concerned about serving another table. I am disgusted by Nobu a restaurant that is well known for the service they provide. I have never been so appalled by any other restaurant. I have visited many restaurants along the same spectrum as Nobu and never had to wait over an hour for food. Appalled and disgusted. My husbands bday was totally ruined.
My sister and I love Nobu - we have been to all of the London restaurants except Shoreditch so we thought we would try it. I will never again return to Nobu Shoreditch. The food was the same but the service was extremely disappointing and does not align with the rest of the London Nobu restaurants. The waiter serving us didn't want to be there, he was dressed scruffy with his shirt half hanging out and he was really rude. We asked his advice about the menu and he said he wasn't listening, we had to get up and asked to be served and then get up and asked for them to clear the table because the empty plates had been there ages. Plus, when our drinks were finished the waiter didn't even ask if we wanted another or anything else. He was just doing the bare minimum.
The alfresco dining area is very pleasant. The lunch options are good value and generous portions. The black cod was as good as ever. My colleagues enjoyed the chicken donburi.
Fantastic meal. Very disappointed with the service in the bar. Waited 20 minutes after my meal for a drink. Not what I would expect and not representative of the service in the restaurant which is spot on.
amazing food, excellent cocktails, very reasonably priced for the quality. lovely outside terrace area for eating - quiet and secluded. friendly staff, not that busy so quite a chilled vibe, it was a thursday lunch time. all in all we had a great time.
Shocking service not the usual standard
Always fantastic food, you can't hear the other person talking across the table. Come hungry, be prepared to yell.
All was excellent, also, try out their cocktails. I had a refreshing cocktail (can’t remember the name) with Vodka, Japanese lime, etc. Really good...
The brunch was perfect - excellent food and top cocktails. We were not rushed in the slightest. Also lovely to have a brunch where you can have a conversation!
Really overrated and the service was awfully slow. Wouldn’t return.
Lovely food. One of the best Japanese. Always very pleased after eating at Nobu.
Dinner was amazing Julia was perfect. Really enjoyed the experience
Incredible experience at one of London's finest sushi restaurants. My girlfriend and I had out anniversary there, and it was an unforgettable evening!
Overall thoroughly disappointed with our visit here. I had booked Nobu because of its reputation and thought it would a fabulous treat for a birthday celebration. Lacked atmosphere, really poor service and the food was not outstanding as you would expect.
We have eaten in many a fabulous restaurant and know good service and food but this was utterly disappointing. For the amount we spent for a couple of hours out and not very much (our bill was near £400), we would have expected top notch service and standards. Even more so with the Shoreditch Branch being the latest addition to the brand. I’m sure the service was outstanding when it hosted the ITV Summer Party this week. Such a shame we could not say the same for our visit. Would not return unfortunately.
Not comparable to Nobu at Mayfair. Too expensive, value for money is not fair. Service is bad. Would not go again.
Shabby chic just went shabby.
When Nobo Shoreditch opened it was awesome, buzzing, funky and fun. Now it's drab. Outside on the terrace, the tables were covered in dust, there were numerous cigarette butts on the floor, the tables hadn't been cleaned. It was like having a drink in a carpark.
Asked for a suggestion for a not too sweet cocktail, 'here's the menu', said the barman and walked off. Service was definitely going through the motions, but at least there were smiles.
Food was great, but crazy expensive. I don't mind paying for an 'experience' but there was little here and we won't be back.
I really did not find the food outstanding as they said, very basic. The desserts was good but the food a joke, it can´t be that an entree is ground avocado with quinoa, very basic. I have had a better gastronomic experience in Lima Peru and even in Chile. The service and the atmosphere good.
We spent a wonderful evening with great food and drinks. No problem to get vegetarian food. We didn’t look in the Menue we simply asked for the non vegetarian the signature dishes including sushi. Delicious!
We had to wait too long for our sake (no even drinks)... food arrived and sit for a while because we wanted to drink first and have it with the food! Food is delicious but too expensive.
Highly recommend the yuzu cheesecake
Excellent restaurant - amazing food and service - a real addition to shoreditch.
Do yourself a favor... do not go to this restaurant unless you wish to have terrible service, bad food and ridiculously expensive!!!
Amazing thank you! Never disappoints
Went for the Omsaka 110 tasting menu and the food was exceptional. 7 courses and each one was delicious, topped with the lobster and the wagyu beef to end. The drinks were OK, the coolers had too much ice and ends up with a slush puppie.
It was on the pricier side of things, but worth it for a special occasion
The food was excellent and the setting was stylish. Service was OK. However, there were a number of birthday parties. So, unless you’re celebrating and don’t mind noisy celebrations around you, this restaurant isn’t for you.
Staff was friendly, but service was very slow. Food was good. The Black Cod is always great. The other dishes I chose were just OK (seafood ceviche and sashimi salad). The non-alcoholic cocktail was very small (full of ice, really just had a sip and had to wait for it...). Overall, I thought it overpriced for what I got.
Excellent tiradito, sushi and other creative Japanese/Peruvian cuisine. Friendly but sometimes slow or slightly inattentive service. Recommended.
