Pioneered and created by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the iconic Nobu menu is influenced by his years of studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and his extensive travels.
The diverse celebration of flavours formed Nobu’s trademark ‘Nobu Style’, which is intrinsic to all Nobu menus worldwide. As well as the classics, Nobu Shoreditch serves unique plates inspired by the creativity and vibrancy of the local area
Designed with the iconic Nobu aesthetics at its heart, the restaurant space radiates a dynamic yet classic energy synonymous with the Nobu brand. Throughout the restaurant there is a palette of rich oak timber, cut into varied grain patterns (solid, veneer and crown).

What Insiders Are Saying
London’s third Nobu, hidden away in the basement of their self-named hotel in Shoreditch. The space is impressive and the menu is predictively pricey.
Pls look on google map for my review.
Spent my birthday there on Saturday. It was fantastic thankyou!
Our waiter was so rude and I had to complain to the manger about our service. Overpriced and rude staff. I will not be going back there again.
Nobu is my favourite restaurant anyway but this was the first time I had been for lunch and it's great value. It's the most luxurious all you can eat buffet ever with amazing sashimi including octopus and yellow tail. The desserts are just as good, just make sure you have an empty stomach when you arrive as it will be happily full when you leave. Nobu is still my number 1 restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value.
Main course were delicious and in generous portion.
The buffet of sushi/sashimi/tartare/salad and lots of special fine food was of very good quality. The desser menu was delicious and with lots of options.
The waitress were nice and supportive, never pushy or too attentive (in a good way, they were always helpful polite and nice but never too much)
Value is excellent
Amazing service and great quality food in a beautiful setting
Another great visit to Nobu. Description of the deserts could be clearer as did not expect donuts!
Was there on a Friday evening. Amazing food, tasty cocktails and service was also very good! Black Cod is a must. Sushi excellent. Reserve in advance as it gets busy!
Outstanding food and service and ambience. Can’t wait to come back.
Sushi was very average and they didn’t have any chili sauces. Wasnt made clear that “water” was infact a £6 bottle as opposed to tap. Service was odd and 2 cocktails were falsely added to our bill. Wine was very average. Black miso cod was incredible though!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was incredible and fast. The best dining experience I’ve had in London or anywhere in the US.
Meeting old friend
It was very quiet and business-like but also very overpriced - £5 for a cup of breakfast tea as an example.
Very average food. But when you go to Nobu isn’t to see & be seen ? The restaurant & the live music was a plus but we won’t come back again.
I was disappointed as I had specifically asked if we could order from the lunch a la carte menu and arrived to find it was a brunch menu or a reduced offering. What we did have was lovely but I really did not need it to the backdrop of shouty 90s music ( I’ll be there for you from friends! I kid you not)
Japanese cuisine at its best. Superb quality. Vast selection of sushi and delicious desserts exquisitely made for the weekend brunch. Lovely ambiance complemented by live band. Great atmosphere for a relaxing lunch.
The food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, wewillgpagain. However, we felt that the meal was very rushed. Our waiter was very good. Definitely will go again but need to save up some money as it’s PRICEY!!
On arrival the desk staff didn't understand my English accent and what I was saying to them. I asked for recommendations on what to have for my dinner from the front of house staff. The French lady couldn't really answer my questions so referred me to her colleague who suggested that to go for the Signature Menu and the black cod. We sat down at the table. There was a work party in the bar area going on. The drinks are well made but extremely expensive for Shoreditch. Two Gin (double measure) and tonic costs over £40. Chairs and tables are what you find in a decent restaurant. Uncomfortable. High levels of noise in dining area. Nothing impressive about this restaurant. The food was barely acceptable.
California roll (cut) - I've had better rolls in a regular Japanese restaurant. Disappointment.
Black cod - sickly sweet. Far too much salt which means the cod loses flavour. Huge disappointment.
Creamy King crab. The seasoning was well off. Far too much salt. Long strips of king crab in a small earthenware. Cheesy not creamy. Excessive salt. Each mouthful resulted in an explosion of salt in my mouth which took away all of the natural sweetness of the crab and made me thirsty.
Service - slow and inattentive. Staff seemed tired and lifeless. No passion for job. Service staff were non-native English speakers and that made communication difficult and I found myself having to repeat myself. I only ordered one GnT for my friend and it made it clear it was for her, but they served two Gin and tonics! So I joined my friend with the drink even though I didn't order it. Service staff never came back to ask us if we wanted more drinks after serving out initial drinks. Never check up on us if the meal was ok for us.Gin and tonoi - far too strong. Double measures used. They didn't ask me if I want a double measure and the service staff should ask.
I will never return due to poor service, food has dangerous to health levels of salt and the service is poor.
Service was atrocious, scenery wasn't great and menu was very limited compared to Mayfair branch. Also had a horrible stench
Unfortunately, I wasn’t overly impressed with the food. The black cod was salty I’m afraid. Sushi rolls didn’t seem as fresh as it could have been. The steak was really good so overall for the price you pay, the quality wasn’t there :(
Perfect sushi, perfect desserts and perfect service! Great place to enjoy a weekend brunch with friends and family
Great meal from start to finish. Having just recently to been to Nobu in Monaco, I was expecting the menu to be the same.
Excellent food in a very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Waiter was outstanding!
Excellent food and service. Live DJ provided great music and ambience. An expensive treat which impressed my wife!
Amazing service and tasty food. Great cocktails made this dinner date night perfect.
The Food was exciting, the Service was okay, the wine unfortunately to warm, we Need ice to cool it up, unfortunately the Music was much too loud, if I want to go in a club I would go in a club but not in star-Restaurant; too less spaces in the bar to sit
This was my first trip to Nobu Shoreditch and overall it was a lovely lunch.
The food was absolutely outstanding, from the spicy edamame which we ate with our cocktails, to the Classic bento boxes which showcased everything that Nobu is famous for - and actually really good value.
The only things that let it down was the ambience; there weren't many other diners there, yet we managed to get seated next to two young men who spent most of their lunch showing each other mobile videos with the sound up; I would have expected one of the serving staff to have a quiet word about that.
The serving staff were great but my companion had wine spilt on his hand not once but twice; we laughed it off but it would have been a lot less funny the third time around.
Overall I would recommend this.
Nobu Shoreditch is the perfect place for raw fish and Japanese dishes. We knew it's reputation but were still completely blown away by the superb flavours and textures. Amazing stuff, we"ll be back!
Fantastic in every way but be prepared to pay......family of five with 3 kids under 13 cost just under £600
- badly cooked food (some dishes so salty they were inedible, other had rubbery/ over cooked scallops & prawns
- inattentive staff (they brought food out before serving first drinks, they didn’t ask if dishes were ok
- loud house music was played throughout, so it was difficult to have conversations
- the food was very expensive, but no way near ‘fine dining’ quality
Went for the brunch. Great food with lots of sushi selection and deserts. The mains were lovely (black cod and chicken). Cocktails were good but (martini was very strong), we bought a orange juice to dilute the prosecco. It’s good you get a selection of drinks rather than being stuck with just prosecco or wine. Highly recommend.
We’ve been to many Nobu locations, many times. Very different levels of service and sensitivity across locations and years. Started with Nobu Next Door when it first opened.
Nobu 57 NYC the WORST! Nobu Shoreditch: Impeccable! The ambiance, level of service and food (some items uniquely available here) and reasonably-priced wines by the glass place Nobu Hotel Shoreditch at the top of our list. Did we say we URGE all locations to offer the Cauliflower dish, please? Laura, our server, deserves a special mention. Wonderful experience.
I didn't take pictures because I wanted to truly live in the moment. I chose The Cookbook Series Omakase, a 7 course meal of items not on the menu, plus dessert. Every moment of the experience built on the prior until I realized that almost 2 hours had passed and the meal was done. I've often been told that expectation exceeds experience, but this proved delightfully inaccurate. I have waited for years to get into a Nobu and it was worth every minute of the wait.
First and foremost, great value for money. You are able to have a good sized main dish (the black cod is particularly good - but steak was over cooked). The sushi selection is basic but good quality. Sashimi wasn’t amazing. Overall good experience, had live music but should have been on the whole time. Atmosphere not anything special. Good for casual meal with friends.
Lovely food and outstanding service. If noise levels were slightly better then it is the best place to be. Keep up the good work!
Very disappointing after visiting Nobu in Marbella/Munich on
Same food, service & ambience as the other Nobu restaurants, but younger crowd (and noisier)
Bad service and overpriced food over a quite well marketed but not worthwhile place!
