Pioneered and created by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the iconic Nobu menu is influenced by his years of studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and his extensive travels.
The diverse celebration of flavours formed Nobu’s trademark ‘Nobu Style’, which is intrinsic to all Nobu menus worldwide. As well as the classics, Nobu Shoreditch serves unique plates inspired by the creativity and vibrancy of the local area
Designed with the iconic Nobu aesthetics at its heart, the restaurant space radiates a dynamic yet classic energy synonymous with the Nobu brand. Throughout the restaurant there is a palette of rich oak timber, cut into varied grain patterns (solid, veneer and crown).

What Insiders Are Saying
London’s third Nobu, hidden away in the basement of their self-named hotel in Shoreditch. The space is impressive and the menu is predictively pricey.
As delicious and reliable as ever and indistinguishable from the Metropolitan where we usually go.
Don’t go there if your worried about spending money!! But it’s the bollox
Very pleasant brunch and atmosphere. Dessert choice was a little below par and the main course was small portion wise, however the unlimited sushi bar was excellent.
Nice ambience and attentive staff.
We would have preferred a drinks package which included champagne as the unlimited option was limited to Prosecco.
Great ambiance, wonderful food and fab music. Would recommend the tasting menu and the Japanese Passionfruit Margarita. The service is fast, but not rushed. Will definitely be back
It’s a shame that they have seating slots of 2 hours. Noise can be really bad if you are sat close to the bar.
The restaurant was in my view clearly over capacity for Valentine’s day which meant the staff were too busy to give any table much attention. We had to wait nearly 25 minutes for our cocktails to be delivered and the table was not cleared away properly after our main course / before dessert. We also both felt the beef tenderloin was very over-seasoned.
Amazing service amazing atmosphere! Will be visiting here more often
Food is overpriced and nothing special at all, portion size is small, the mains are like starters. Service wasn’t great either. Left feeling ripped off and hungry. Wouldn’t recommend.
Excellent food, location and atmosphere.
The food was fantastic and the staff were all incredibly attentive even though it was packed!
Their desire to turn tables as quickly as posssible, despite reservations, ruined the evening.
The setting and the food was excellent, the issues we had on the night ( 13/02/19 ) was purely done to the service. Our order was completely messed up and it transpired that it wasn’t just our table. Although they apologised and deducted the main meal from our bill, it just spoilt what should have been a nice dining experience. So hence my low reviews.
A fantastic restaurant. Great food, special ambiance and a nice location.
Amazing except the sound level way to high for a restaurant inspired by japan . You will expect a quiet place not music as a club
The brunch was not being replenished at the speed people were exhausting it. Every trip to the buffet there was 2-3 items missing
Superb Bottomless Sunday Brunch, excellent service, great food & superb drinks, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary & we were both very impressed with Nobu at Shoreditch. We would definitely return one day in the future to celebrate another special occasion.
Ridiculously overpriced. Tiny portions. Food comes out too quickly. Ordered the £85 7 course taster menu, the first course was out before the wine approximately 2 mins after ordering. Obviously it's cold and sashimi so hardly takes and skill to plate but too quick. Left hungry after a £333 bill. Didn't even get a bowl of rice with that. Absolute robbery. How these places stay in business and actually go from strength to strength more than amazes me.
Excellent and creative food with a nice atmosphere. A bit quieter than the other locations.
Been to 17 Nobu’s in 12 countries -!: I have to say Shoreditch was most disappointing with reduced menu oversized room and average service !
Food was great. Service not great. Waiter further stole 4% of the bill by setting to DKK instrad of GBP (was never asked, not did I have the chance to choice).
Food was great but service was shocking. We had the taster menu but had no idea what each dish was as it was so loud we could hear the waiter. We also had to wait an stupidly long time for food, at one point we clocked up almost 40 mins between course.
Also sure we missed out on a couple of courses because they had forgotten.
Service was great and food good quality. But they’ve recently changed their selection of buffet food, and the black cod selection on the brunch menu was half the size of what they used to be. So definitely we’re feeling less value for money, especially when we know what we used to get on the same brunch menu.
I lost one (very expensive) glove either just outside or in the premises as I walked in. The people on reception have no empathy. No comments of “how can we help?”. “Oh that’s terrible, we’ll look”. Just blank robotic expressions and a suggestion that I should “make my date pay”. They looked at me a though I was crazy and made me feel stupid.
I have little confidence that the restaurant will follow up. It was all very ABC.
ps the servers a the table were good (order/drinks/food). Thank you to you guys
I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and there was nothing I could fault about this dining experience. I have been to many high end Japanese restaurants in the city but Nobu Shoreditch is a cut above the rest!
My friends birthday!
It was an absolute experience. Amazing customer service!
Had a lovely night at Nobu Shorditch.. friendly staff who explained menu well. Food was pricey but very very good . Restaurant not overly exciting to look at but ambience was buzzy . Overall a good night had by all.
Had the Omakase tasting menu. Very rushed service, the first three dishes came out in quick succession and plates were whisked away... Then a lull in service and hot food took awhile to come out. Average food, nothing special. Dishes were either overwhelmingly salty or overwhelmingly bland. Dessert was basic and the chocolate fondant was powdery and dry... And they rushed us off from our table after dessert was done. Would not recommend.
The food is delicious and the chefs outstanding, the service staff make you feel very comfortable and there’s a great atmosphere. My only complaint was that as the last seating the last half hour we had to keep asking for top ups and sometimes didn’t get one until 10 mins in, this meant spending more money on our final drink as out of drinking hours. To be fair we were pretty tipsy by this point. Aside from that loved it all.
Always a treat coming here, possibly one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in London. Price is not inexpensive but worth it.
Food was terrible. Really poor selection for lunch - I was uncontrollably sick after
Food was lovely as expected. I’ve noticed an increase on the brunch prices for the New Year. We opted for the bottomless brunch where we had unlimited access to the sushi and dessert bar with a choice of one main meal from the menu. The black cod was expectionally good.
Reliably good. Most recent visit was for my older son's birthday. My younger son is a vegetarian and it worked well for him, as well. The service is always friendly, the room is delightful, and the food is terrific. Quieter than the Nobu in Mayfair.
Nice dinner out with friends
Absolutely amazing atmosphere attentive service
And super quality of ingredients
Waiting for go back
Weekend Brunch which had gone up in price in the new year by £8 however the quality of the food was fantastic.
There is a great selection of sushi and sashimi however maybe a little too much tuna and salmon.
Mains are small as you choose one per person then the buffet is unlimited. I found the salad to be average but again the quality of food is fantastic.
Great selection in the dessert section with macroons being a highlight.
Staff were friendly and attentive and able to answer any questions
Great evening - bar people great fun, serving team bright and enthusiastic and food wonderful as ever. Big difference from ambience of Mayfair but great fun.
Our Nobu experience was very nice, food and drinks were fantastic with a nice touch bringing out a 30th birthday cake as surprise for my partner. Only downside was a drink being dropped on to one of our dishes which splashed the Gyozu sauce over us both - funny at the time but unfortunately when we left we realised it had stained my jumper - not the end of world, these things happen! Wouldn’t put me off attending again....
The brunch had been advertised as £45 pp but was in fact £53.
We had an excellent evening at nobu. We were a party of 10- the food and service were excellent.
