Pioneered and created by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the iconic Nobu menu is influenced by his years of studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and his extensive travels.
The diverse celebration of flavours formed Nobu’s trademark ‘Nobu Style’, which is intrinsic to all Nobu menus worldwide. As well as the classics, Nobu Shoreditch serves unique plates inspired by the creativity and vibrancy of the local area
Designed with the iconic Nobu aesthetics at its heart, the restaurant space radiates a dynamic yet classic energy synonymous with the Nobu brand. Throughout the restaurant there is a palette of rich oak timber, cut into varied grain patterns (solid, veneer and crown).

What Insiders Are Saying
London’s third Nobu, hidden away in the basement of their self-named hotel in Shoreditch. The space is impressive and the menu is predictively pricey.
Very disappointing. Being repeat customers at all the other Nobu restaurants world wide ( and all the other branches having superb Brunches) it came as a surprise that this branch did not meet our expectations. From the poor and sloppy service to the lack of variety of the Brunch menu and buffet to the bland taste of the food. Hats off to the sushi chefs and interior design of this branch only. You need to step up your game to be on the same level as Abu Dhabi and Malibu.
We went for the weekend brunch for the second time in three months - it’s really amazing and despite being a bit pricey, actually amazing value for money considering what’s on offer. The black cod is almost , other shout-outs go to the modern beef, tuna tataki and the whiskey-flambeed pudding! Will visit again!
Very good food - the tasting menu is a great option to try a bit of everything.
The restaurant and bar is great and the service is impeccable. We ordered extensively from the menu, some of the dishes were big hits, surprisingly some where quite bland. The Salmon New Style Sashimi was bland and lacked flavour, equally the dry aged (28 Days) grass fed ribeye hobayaki with 38
japanese mushrooms delivered nothing. Big hits were the lobster tempura and of the course the black cod. Slightly disappointing given price, however, the service was outstanding. Could do better in the kitchen.
Great taste and ambiance, as impressive as the other restaurant in Mayfair.
Great service and fantastic food
I didn’t paid the service charge
Good vibes and music
My chicken was a bit too salty for me. Service was great. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and considerate. Top service!
My friends arrived late, but the staff were very comforting and kind, looked after me well. Thankyou!
Having been to other Nobu's this one has a nice vibe with DJ etc & glam feel.
The food was quite good, however maybe prefer the other ones - I'd say 90% as good as the others...
Amazing service, very welcoming and accommodating. Great quality of food. Stunning ambience and decor
Food, service and ambiance were outstanding. Even brought us a special treat for our anniversary. Will go back whenever in town.
One of my favourites. Nice atmosphere. Food was lovely and service was great.
What an absolute disaster. Booked for five people including two visitors from Australia, a land of great Japanese restaurants, and my wife visiting from the country who loves Japanese food. Well, first, this is not Japanese food as we know it. Some awful modern fusion, badly cooked, badly presented. The only dish that was even close to being nice was the salad.
Service was a complete joke.
The good parts of the experience: the cocktails were good, the Oni Negroni in particular. The bottle of sake we have with the meal was £115 for 1.8l which was very good and very good value for this restaurant.
But the food and service were so bad, and the price so extortionate, that it was an absolute embarrassment when we had to split the bill. I would never, ever eat in such a pretentious apology for Japanese food again nor any restaurant bearing the Nobu name. My recommendation, avoid at all costs. And if you don’t those costs will be very high.
If you love tasty authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place to be!
We went for the weekend brunch and the selection of sushi items was excellent and plentiful. We were each able to order a main as well which allowed us to try a few options. The service was quick and attentive. The atmosphere was festive/buzzy without being overwhelming.
We were all looking forward to going for brunch at Nobu Shoreditch. The reviews looked great and the brunch definitely seemed appealing. The venue is beautiful - very sleek and modern. Just from walking down the stairs from the hotel lobby to the restaurant, the atmosphere feels more like a club than a high end restaurant. Perhaps, loud music is what I'd expect in the evening walking into a bar - but certainly not at brunch. The staff was very kind from the beginning and promised to turn down the volume - not sure if this actually happened, but they seemed quite sympathetic. The food and service were both incredible - the selection at the sushi bar was limited, but so delicious. Our mains were all outstanding and the desserts were delectable. It's really the music and some of the clientele who couldn't control their volume (likely due to overindulging in the bottomless brunch) that would stop us from going back to Nobu Shoreditch. I can understand louder music in the evenings, but certainly not during the day - it ruins the experience. I'm not sure why the vibe from the lobby bar cannot be recreated downstairs, especially for brunch and lunch. Such a shame as the concept of this brunch is so unique and the service was excellent. Maybe a rethink is due for the management.
Delicious food, we arrived late but the kitchen stayed open for us.
We went for brunch - the sushi bar was really excellent. The mains were everything you expect from Nobu. My parents loved it and my 4 year old son was made very welcome (and more importantly free!).
We arrive on time for our table booked, they asked to wait at the bar when half of the restaurant was empty, by the time we sat they ask to move to the table. The waiter did not explain their quite complicated menu. We asked for sakè and water, the water arrived warm they had to replace it.
Service not excellent as we were expecting from Nobu.
Impossible to go out for smoke after 11pm terrace close. Restaurant door close as well you need to go out through the reception hotel door! Scandalous
Too much cooked food. Not enough signature sushi dishes. Overall quality was okay but not great
Usually ok but service was so slow and half of the order never came out and wait so long we cancelled it
Having been to 13 Nobu restaurants around the world and with Nobu my favourite restaurant chain i was really disappointed in Shoreditch. I found the restaurant to be very noisy with music set to a high volume impacting table conversation. Service was slow once the tables filled up. The food was below the normal high standard. I normally love Nobu but this was the worst one that i have ever been to.
Lovely waiter. Music too loud and a bit of a draft at the table. Champagne was slightly warm but waiter fast chilled it after first glass. Tasting menu very good, and they accommodated gluten free. Would definitely come again, but table selection will be an issue
Lovely decor and ambience. A lot like Nobu LV without the hype, or Nobu HK without the size. Great service and wonderful food (of course)
Amazing venue and high quality food.
Appalling service, messed up order, and forgot one meal completely, this was a special occasion for my girlfriend ruined completely
Faultless and exquisite food, service sadly lacking in knowledge of wine, terribly tired looking interior with downlighters that looked chrap and harsh. Bedroom lighting in the hotel rooms is far more suitable snd considered.
This was the second time I’ve visited nobu for the Sunday brunch. It’s great value however the first time I visited on the 3rd of February was a lot better than the second time I visited on 21st April. My friend and I both ordered the same main dish and it was over cooked and horrid. We didn’t bring this to the staffs attention. On reflection we probably should have. It was a disappointment. Hopefully, the third visit will be as good as the first. Nothing negative to write on my first visit, everything was great.
We went to Nobu for my son 12th Bday and we had the brunch buffet. I was surprised by the amount of choices on display. Our waiter was good and the food too. The drinks are not included so it be a bit stiff when u order with paying attention.
They did not rush us out of our table so we had a great time. Will go back
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Black miso cod is delicious
The food was great, sadly the food did not represent the price tag
Food was honestly average, but great ambiance. I was expecting something overwhelming, but...overall, the experience was great if you are in the bar area because of the spectacular view (the seating area next to the kitchen is a bit dull). Staff was courteous though and friendly.
Amazing food, felt better vibe than Mayfair, was given top table as told them it was anniversary when booking - expensive but delicious
A wonderful buffet selection. Great value for very fresh sushi options.
Main of black cod miso and steaks were tasty.
Good dessert selection as well.
Staff were really attentive and realised that there were two birthdays and provided a surprise treat.
Only challenge was when we trying to pay the bill, couldn't get anyone to acknowledge or pay!
Despite this looking forward to the next visit! :)
Food and vibe is great as always, but service was really slow. Had to ask multiple times for my drink and things we had ordered had been forgotten. But other than that it was lovely
2 year anniversary with my girlfriend, we both love Japanese food and I knew that Nobu was of a high standard before booking. We had the Omakase 110 menu each. It was amazing from start to finish the food was worth the price, service was impeccable with all the staff I encountered being of a high caliber. Especially good barman who had my slightly tipsy off one sazerac (I told him to keep the absinthe in). Overall a great experience, highly recommend it.
Had a sesame allergy and ended up in hospital. Was clear about my allergy with the staff
Consistently amazing food prepared by chefs at the top of their game. Having lived next to Nobu Tokyo for six years, expectations from Nobu Shoreditch were high.
They did not disappoint. Sushi Counter experience was enlightening, as we watched our favourite dishes being prepared in front of us.
Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, Soft Shell Crab rolls and gorgeously tender Rib Eye were the highlights.
We visited their newly opened Hanami Garden at the end providing a romantic setting the end the evening.
A massive thank you to Head Sushi Chef Hideaki Mizushima for looking after us.
Good food but too noisy we couldn’t hear the waiters and they couldn’t hear us so we didn’t know what exactly has been advised to us and what we ate !
- bottle of white wine has been brought super hot so had to wait
- hot mains have been served with sushis at the same time so ate our beef cold
- table was moving and not stable
- sushis were not good at all, very mediocre quality
- everything is in a tiny size
Too expensive for poor service
