Noel's Bar and Restaurant
Our chefs offer creative cuisine using fresh ingredients inspired by the Mediterranean. Noel’s ambition is to be the best charcoal fired grill in Birmingham, offering a range of specially sourced fine cuts from master butcher Aubrey Allen. Our pasta and ravioli is made fresh every morning by our artisan pasta makers and dressed with beautifully paired sauces.
Great food - very poor service. Very, very slow I.e. 45 mins minimum between courses.
Can't fault this place on any level. Absolutely superb service and food. Music at just the right volume and stunning decor.
Had an amazing visit, enjoyed the bread and pizza very much! The cocktails where beautiful, very tasty. Very good value for money, service was friendly and attentive. Will be coming back very soon!
Great experience dining for the first time here. Beautiful views and for my Girlfriends bday they even brought out a little bday cake at no extra cost. Brilliant selection of cocktails for a restaurant too. lots Id never tried. My only gripe was that there was a few staff who walk around and come to your table but when you ask for a drink etc they just tell you it wasnt there job ? Not a big thing but just seemed pointless them interrupting our lunch if they couldnt do anything anyhow?
When we arrived we were not acknowledged even with staff walking past us as we waited at the door. We sat in a very bad location and the people who sat after us was served bread immediately. We were charged an extra £8.50 for a drink we didn't have, but i couldn't be bothered to call the restaurant back to claim it. The staff were pleasant, but they need some training. Food was nice but wasn't brilliant.
I really don't like writing bad reviews and i hope they will take it as constructive criticism because this place could be great.
Great food from this new place from a chef who is well known to the area. Will be good to be able to eat good food al fresco. Will be back.
Really enjoyed our meal at Noel’s. Fantastic food and the staff were so friendly and knowledgable. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
Living locally we have been waiting for this new restaurant to open. The lay out and decor compliments the canal side setting . I’m sure this will be enhanced when we get some decent weather and we can take advantage of the outdoor seating. Staff are professional and eager to make you comfortable and attentive throughout. The menu is varied with a British / Mediterranean twist and offers a wide selection of prices so you can push the boat out or not . Will definitely return.
Very impressed with the range of the menu, there is something to suit every taste on both food and drink.
The service was excellent and the size of the portions was generous but for the quality I felt it was well priced.
There has obviously been a lot of money spent on this new venue - it looks very stylish and occupies a great location just behind the Mailbox next to the canal.
Well worth a visit - I would recommend it.
Being their first night, I will give them the benefit of the doubt on the service. However, the staff do need more training on certain aspects. This includes when to ask if customers would like more drinks, leaving menus on the table after ordering and appearing over attentive when asking if we would like the bill. When eating dessert, we were provided with teaspoons. This appeared to be after the manager (?) advised the waiter that the previous customer’s dessert spoons were too big. Therefore, eating our eaton mess (as spelt on the menu, rather than eton mess) took rather longer than we expected.
I would like to say the food tasted nice. Complimentary bread and olives were much appreciated. Although tasting pleasant, the eton mess appears overpriced for the time and effort spent in serving this course. A 280 gram sirloin steak was also somewhat misleading. This was due to the steak being served on the bone, meaning some of the specified weight was due to the meat being on the bone; particularly uncommon for a sirloin.
