Went for Sunday brunch. Lovely locally sourced food and their own sausages.
It was a fantastic place for my 70th birthday. The food, ambiance and service were all outstanding.
The service and food could not be faulted but there were two rowdy tables that spoiled it for everyone else, although this was out of their control. We came back later when they had left, then it was back to the friendly family atmosphere from before.
Lovely food, friendly and attentive service, good sized portions and child friendly.
We had a lovely breakfast at Nonna’s - all the ingredients were fresh and we all really enjoyed our food. Looking forward to returning to try the food in the evening. Te front cafe section of the restaurant looked really nice.
Very busy, had to wait 15 minutes along with other guests for our pre booked table, and restaurant was very noisy once seated. Starters were great, mains were ok but there was some great cocktails. It’s a shame as was very different to first visit.
Everything was delicious! Will definitely be returning
Have been a number of times now and it never fails to be a most enjoyable visit. Food was excellent, music perhaps a little loud for a lunchtime but maybe that's just me! Service, as always, was extremely good.
Excellent restaurant the food was delicious & the service first class. We will definitely be going back again
WOULD GO AGAIN - NICE SMALL RESTAURANT WITH GOOD ALL ROUND FEELING
Love Nonnas .... always enjoy visiting great food and lovely staff
I was so disappointed on Sat night.
The quality of the food was dreadful and the upselling attempts by the serving staff really spoilt the evening.
I love to support you and other local businesses but not sure that's possible after Saturday night. I felt embarrassed as Nonnas was my suggestion and recommendation for a birthday meal.
What's happened guys? It used to be a great spot?
Lovely as always!
Our first visit to Nonna's was amazing! Staff were attentive but not overbearing and the food was out of this world
Delicious and well cooked food with a real Maltese/ Italian flavour. A minor shame was that they had sold out of Maltese wine but maybe next time.
The meal I had was very small portion £18 a few shrimps 5 small pieces of pasta and 10 small clams.served with wrong pasta should of served with linguine would of looked more.the chin of beef was lovely, but served with what looked like leftover pasta and sauce from lunch over done pasta.the cheese board was not great the brie and gorgonzola was nice goats cheese bland and provolone solve cheese was poor would use provolone picante instead.the waiter was hovering most of the time we felt rushed, and the seating I was in was being bashed by staff going past all the time.this place came recommended but I am sorry my experience I would not recommend. would I go I doubt it.
First visit to Nonna’s, will definitely be returning. Great food and lovely staff
Great food, choice was fairly limited but what was on the menu was quality.
Staff great too
Bòoked for an anniversary meal. Food and service were excellent and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. Not cheap but you get what you pay for well cooked well presented local produce. Highly recommended.
Great food, great service and great value. Very nice ambience.
Great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
A bit pricey though.
Superb food, lovely staff-it was a fabulous experience! I’d been waiting to go for ages, and was so so excited and it did NOT disappoint at all! Can’t wait for the next time!!
Nonna's is my go to Italian restaurant, always amazing food and services.
Lovely food great surroundings and service was excellent
We have eaten at nonnas on a few occasions now , mostly in the brasserie , twice now in the resturant and on both occasions have been seated in the extension at the rear of the building , this feels like dining in someones garage , has a lack of ambience and is not a very plesent dining experiance .
Great atmosphere for a Monday lunch time love coming to Nonnas!
Such a wonderful place... a little pricey but you don’t have to go mad... espresso martini to finish is essential!
Lovely time had by all celebrating my sons birthday, attentive staff, good service
Very enjoyable evening with quality food and wine. Only reason I did not mark our visit higher was the amount of things that were already not available at 8.15 pm.
Our experience here started off pleasant enough, however once the main course arrived, it all went down hill. I have never had a bad pizza at an Italian restaurant before, however the pizza I ordered arrived and was inedible; it was beyond dry, tough to chew and there was barely any mozzarella, no basil, (as advertised), and it was lukewarm. I advised the waiting staff and a new one was promptly served. This looked much improved; plenty of mozzarella, visible basil leaves, piping hot (no hint of dry and leathery!), and was probably the standard all pizzas should be served at this restaurant, so its frustrating that the standard of pizza was only met by sending the original one back. Unfortunately, after this incident the staff became really quite obnoxious and the warm welcome we initially received, became cold and a tad frosty. We wouldn't return.
The food is great and the staff very friendly. However, in the restaurant, the tables are squeezed too close together and the bench seats are like sitting on a perch. Too narrow. Some of the pasta dishes are very over priced.
Having said that overall it is a reasonable place to dine
I was really impressed by Nonna’s. It’s cosy inside and the staff are friendly and attentive. Food was brilliant, especially gluten free pasta- usually I’m used to gluten free pasta being a bit ‘al dente’ but was impressed that it was lovely and soft. Great flavours too! Also love the great range of cocktails and gins - will be back!
Love coming to this restaurant. Brilliant food. We both had a vegetarian option, and my pasta dish was possible the best thing I've eaten for a long time. Excellent Maltese wine as well.
The menu was quite limited to just pizza or pasta. The pizzas were very nice but one of the pasta dishes was disappointing. The pasta was hard and the large tubes didn’t absorb the flavour or sauce. Far too many capers. The waiter did not check if our food was okay so we were forced to eat this dish. They portions are small for the price and they don’t give you much of the meat listed in the dish. Felt a little hungry after having a starter main and Pudding. Not sure we’d come back unless the portions are increased slightly or prices dropped!
Lovely lunch with my dad, food was good, service was fine and it was relatively busy so there was a buzz about the place. Would happily go back again!
Excellent, reasonably priced food, served by lovely staff. We had two special dietary needs which were fulfilled with pleasure and no fuss. Thank you for an outstanding meal - we will definitely come again.
Great Italian/Mediterranean restaurant
Lovely place to eat, lovely outdoor seating area. Food is great and plenty of choice of cocktails and wines. Staff are really friendly and service is great. Sitting was a bit uncomrtable though
Good Service, great food, good selection and pleasant atmosphere
Excellent food and great service - have been several times now and it never fails to fulfill expectations.
