A lovely breakfast in a lovely restaurant thoroughly enjoyable pre birthday treat
Wrongly order pizza was a problem for the manager. The answer he gave was very unprofessional as a restaurant manager. Had to also ask for our olives as they didn’t come with our drinks.
Poor experience compared to previous at Nonnas. Waited 10 minutes past our allotted booking (2015) and then had to wait 20 mins for food menus as everyone else was using them! Service slow after this and we didn’t eat until later than hoped. Food just OK. Ambience not great, bright lights, rubbish music: used to be candlelight and warm ambience.
As always Nonna's doesn't fail to impress. Seated immediately with our reservation (really encourage booking ahead!). Staff friendly, no time pressure or feeling like your rushed. They stopped and charred with us, answered any questions we had. The food is just on another level still. Absolutely delicious and they should all feel very proud for what they've accomplished. Woburn Sands is a hard area to have a business in but Nonna's has flourished.
Nonnas it's a fantastic place with tasty food and amazing decoration! ! Also people there are so friendly and the waiters make you feel like home!! I highly recommend it!!😊😊😊 10/10
When I got to the restaurant it seem that there was no reservation, we waited around 5mins to be seated
I love Nonnas and booked in for brunch with a friend. I'd had the coconut porridge about a year ago and was pleased to see it on the menu on my recent visit. However, when my bowl arrived, the portion seemed to have halved, and was definitely not worth the £6.95. I'm afraid to say on this occasion it was a disappointing experience. Service good as always, as was the atmosphere.
We were led to the back of the restaurant to essentially a tented dining area without any option or explanation about seating in the actual restaurant. it had actually been done nicely, in the style of a big fat gypsy wedding. However there were a number of gas patio heaters on full blast, which if your table was close to one, could end up scorching you. When asked to reduce the ferocity of the burner nearest us, we were told it couldn't be as all were linked ? The other irritation was an entrance door into the tent from the carpark was continually slammed open and banged when people came in or left.
The starter was mediocre at best, the main course ok but not memorable, the desert pretty good. On another table the diners enquired where the fish was in their main, and the waitress said she'd ask the kitchen and brought back a side dish? I wouldn't rush back. The dining experience is in stark contrast to the wonderful breakfast we had a month or so prior in the actual restaurant area. It was this which prompted our booking for dinner with heightened expectations...unfortunately.
This is a really good find. It's a surprisingly large space that feels cosy and easy to spend time in. The shared meat platter appetiser was a feast in itself with good tasty variety. The osso bucco linguine was deliciously tasty with a nice 'bite' in the pasta. The accompanying Italian wine was a great recommendation. We had no room for dessert but we will return!
Service was very slow considering that the restaurant only had a few diners. We ordered the mixed bread with olive oil to accompany our starters. However we received only one type of bread and it was brought to the table after we had finished our starters.
Overall a disappointing meal out.
Came with my twin sister for our birthday treat to each other, for the afternoon tea and we absolutely loved it. We have been to many places for AT and here is defiantly up there as one of our most favourites. Such a cute little restaurant. Cocktails were amazing too.
Great time had as always and love the Vegan/Veggie options.
I have chosen Nonna’s for a variety of occasions over the past year as it is open from 9am for breakfast, brunch, lunch to dinner. It is characterful, comfortable and serves great food.
Been a few times now. Always great food, great service.
This was my first time here. I wasn't disappointed. Had a lovely lunch which was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was extremely good. Will definitely return.
Unique little restaurant.
Loved the interiors. Delicious food and quick service- what more could you want?
The food was really good and with generous portions. We have eaten here a number of times and were surprised when it took 45 mins for the starters to arrive, for no apparent reason as the Restaurant was not full. Odd!
Lovely food and ambience. It was a very busy evening and the staff were at full pace, so the service was a little slower than normal, but I think the kitchen coped really well, and the wait was worth it!
Great food and we will be coming back for more!
Very slow service - one meal arrived cold (Lasagne) and was taken away to re-heat which took an excessive amount of time. When it was returned the other meals had already been eaten and the lasagne was still not hot. Under normal circumstances I would have complained while in the restaurant, but I was entertaining and did not wish to embarrass my guest. No reduction was made to the bill, I was not looking for compensation but it should have been offered.
I will not be returning.
Pleasant experience, good food and service. Every time I’m in the area I always have lunch.
Friendly service and a good variety of food options however the vegetarian selection was small and one option was sold out . Value for the festive menu was good , deserts had mixed reviews from the party , perhaps an area to improve on , meringue was over cooked in our opinion! Cocktails were amazing , will definitely re visit
Fabulous food. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Lovely, cosy venue. Thoroughly recommended.
Amazing food nad very friendly atmosphere. Definitely we will go back to try new courses :)
I have been to Nonna's 4 times, very disappointed on this occasion. Selection was poor, food was fairly tasteless agreed by all 4 of us, pig cheek starter was like warm catfood, side order of halloumi and shredded brussels was very disappointing, pizzas were bland and tasteless, steaks were good, dessert was pear/mincemeat crumble served luke warm, the ice cream couldn't melt. A lady was having a moment in the restaurant and they opened up the door in the larger restauant which was fair enough, but was left open for 20 mins while we were eating depsite us telling the staff we were cold. I dont feel like we can go back and I have had birthdays and anniversarys at ths restaurant.
This place is amazing! Small and intimate with the right kind ambience to make you feel you special. The food is amazing with a menu that sets it apart from other restaurants
Lovely food and service in this busy, lively restaurant- the only negative is that edm/euro house were odd music choices for a Sunday brunch crowd
Just love Nonnas coming back for dinner later this week with a friend. Alway an excellent choice
Amazing food, lovely atmosphere will be going back very soon!
Beautiful food, amazing service and all at a reasonable price. We will be returning very soon
Nice food and friendly staff
Excellent lunch, great customer service and amazing coffee.
Excellent Maltese inspired menu, the food was faultless although they missed a couple of sides for kids. Food cooked with love, service on point.
What a find . Quaint little resturant.
Service and food amazing.
Car park very small.
It was the first time at Nonnas. Car park was a bit small. No one to greet us. Waiter was very good. Food was very good in all categories.Toilet was clean. Would certainly go again Just thinking of an excuse for another visit.
Just love this place . First breakfast we have had there! Won’t be the last . Have eaten dinner there many times in the past . Never fails to please. Absolute gem!
Went for Sunday brunch. Lovely locally sourced food and their own sausages.
It was a fantastic place for my 70th birthday. The food, ambiance and service were all outstanding.
First time diner, average restaurant and left feeling it could be so much better
The service and food could not be faulted but there were two rowdy tables that spoiled it for everyone else, although this was out of their control. We came back later when they had left, then it was back to the friendly family atmosphere from before.
Lovely food, friendly and attentive service, good sized portions and child friendly.
