We have eaten at nonnas on a few occasions now , mostly in the brasserie , twice now in the resturant and on both occasions have been seated in the extension at the rear of the building , this feels like dining in someones garage , has a lack of ambience and is not a very plesent dining experiance .

Such a wonderful place... a little pricey but you don’t have to go mad... espresso martini to finish is essential!

Very enjoyable evening with quality food and wine. Only reason I did not mark our visit higher was the amount of things that were already not available at 8.15 pm.

Our experience here started off pleasant enough, however once the main course arrived, it all went down hill. I have never had a bad pizza at an Italian restaurant before, however the pizza I ordered arrived and was inedible; it was beyond dry, tough to chew and there was barely any mozzarella, no basil, (as advertised), and it was lukewarm. I advised the waiting staff and a new one was promptly served. This looked much improved; plenty of mozzarella, visible basil leaves, piping hot (no hint of dry and leathery!), and was probably the standard all pizzas should be served at this restaurant, so its frustrating that the standard of pizza was only met by sending the original one back. Unfortunately, after this incident the staff became really quite obnoxious and the warm welcome we initially received, became cold and a tad frosty. We wouldn't return.

The food is great and the staff very friendly. However, in the restaurant, the tables are squeezed too close together and the bench seats are like sitting on a perch. Too narrow. Some of the pasta dishes are very over priced.
Having said that overall it is a reasonable place to dine

I was really impressed by Nonna’s. It’s cosy inside and the staff are friendly and attentive. Food was brilliant, especially gluten free pasta- usually I’m used to gluten free pasta being a bit ‘al dente’ but was impressed that it was lovely and soft. Great flavours too! Also love the great range of cocktails and gins - will be back!

Love coming to this restaurant. Brilliant food. We both had a vegetarian option, and my pasta dish was possible the best thing I've eaten for a long time. Excellent Maltese wine as well.

The menu was quite limited to just pizza or pasta. The pizzas were very nice but one of the pasta dishes was disappointing. The pasta was hard and the large tubes didn’t absorb the flavour or sauce. Far too many capers. The waiter did not check if our food was okay so we were forced to eat this dish. They portions are small for the price and they don’t give you much of the meat listed in the dish. Felt a little hungry after having a starter main and Pudding. Not sure we’d come back unless the portions are increased slightly or prices dropped!

Lovely Ambience - the Staff were very friendly and warm on arrival .The eating area is relatively small so best to book a table in advance . Parking is a little limited . The premises are beautiful and full of history . Ideal for a summers evening to sit out and enjoy the wine / beer or coffee

Menu online is different to true menu. Service is friendly but extremely slow eventhough they weren’t busy. Bolognese came with cheese on it and when I said I don’t eat cheese the comment was accepted yet not acknowledged, all I got was a sorry.

I visited owners with a good friend of mine for a girly catch up, I was delighted to see gluten-free options on the menu as I often have to miss out on pasta if it’s not available.

Food was perfectly proportioned, very tasty and the service was extremely attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I had been recommended Nonna's by a number of friends as the 'best Italian in the area', so I was really excited to try it out. Unfortunately myself and my friends were really disappointed by the standard of food, the prices and service. I'm not sure if they just had a bad day as it was a very busy and warm Saturday evening in July, but we waited over half an hour for our order to be taken, and when the food arrived was sub-par. The pizza was basic, the two pasta dishes (costing around £18 each) were dry and oily with no sauce and little seasoning, and the gnocchi portion size was tiny. The more interesting looking fish and meat dishes were simply unafforadable at around £19-25 a main. We left feeling unsatisfied and will not be returning.

Booked online with open table but when we got there our booking couldn’t be found. Very friendly staff member gave us a table anyway. Our friends joined us. Drinks were great, service was really good, food average for the price. Ourfriend ordered a meal that normally has a cream and mushroom sauce on it which was forgotten but staff member brought a jug of it half way through the meal. Portions of vegetables small. But staff were very good

We booked an early evening meal as we were going along to The Stables theatre later and it worked out really well. I'd asked when booking if we could keep the table for a couple of hours as we had a lot to catch up on with our friends. Everything went very well - staff were lovely things arrived promptly and looked lovely & fresh. We all enjoyed our food and our time there but the two of us that had the crab & prawn pasta were a bit disappointed by the very small amount of crab & just 3 large prawns for £18. I would certainly go again though.
