Portions of small plates really small... you could add 25% to it.
The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. A must visit and treat.
First time experience and enjoyed the service and menu selections were wonderful. Unfortunately, they got our order wrong but we kept it anyway. Lovely decor but needs some better sound absorption for a more relaxing conversation. Even one person in our party mentioned she was going to book a staff appreciation (25) but could not consider North because it is too noisy. Otherwise, will recommend to friends.
Also, why does this Open Table reservation not give points. This happened with another restaurant recently so maybe Open Table is no longer beneficial.
Get the White Truffle Garlic Bread....sooo delicious with the house made ricotta! The meatballs are so tender and flavorful. The Roasted Salmon is delicious! Everything I've had here has been wonderful!
A really nice restaurant in the West End. Very good food in a stylish setting.
Didn’t know about the great brunch here - highly recommend as an alternative to the usually very busy Founding Farmers.
Birthday dinner and they made it special!
This restaurant is amazing!
We were in town from Michigan. This was a recommendation and it was great!!
Overall great experience! My waitress Ruby was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food was wonderful. I’ll definitely be back!
Amazing food and service! Classic Italian meal
Great service. Excellent beef carpacio. Waygu steak nice enough but lacking in salt, but veggies extremely oily !
We had a great pizza dinner tonight-it was delicious!
Nice restaurant - - clean and well-maintained.
Service was excellent at moments and then was noticeably absent... It was strange.
The food was good - - not great, but good.
We had a good time.
The food is good, its like american-italian, not a classic italian restaurant. The service was excellent!!!
Great modern Italian place! Loved the food and the ambiance and great wait staff! Will definitely return!!
Ordered the seasonal vegetable salad with salmon. My friend ordered the kale salad with salmon. We shared truffle oil garlic bread. Gluten allergy be damned! I ate almost all the bread. Everything was so good. This will be my new go to for business meetings.
The food is very good and appropriately priced. The beverage (non-alcoholic) service -- both before and after the meal -- was very slow, which is surprising given that it was lunch and the restaurant was not full.
Nice bright space for business lunches. That they list calories next to things is helpful although discouraged me from ordering anything more than a salad!
Always a great meal and a wonderful atmosphere!
We dined at North Italia on Valentines Day. Although I was a little skeptical about the limited menu, all of our choices were delicious and completely satisfying. The service was very professional and friendly. Looking around at the full staff it is easy to see that everyone enjoys working together and for the restaurant. I look forward to our next visit.
The winter seasonal salad was excellent, and the house-made pasta was delicious.
Solid lunch with a colleague. Wouldn’t definitely come back
Interesting menu and lively atmosphere. At first glance, the cocktail menu looks 'rock star' worthy, but the result is a watery drink and bartender was heavy-handed on the lemon/lime in the drinks we had. Highlight was the Squid Ink Mafaldine.
Pasta came out cold. Asked them to heat it up, came back still cold. Honestly for the price I expected more and better.
Excellent menu with lots of choices and all were very well done. Enjoyed the ambience and the fact that I could have a great conversation without screaming! Plan to go again soon!
Always enjoy coming here. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. There is a decent wine list that's not outrageously priced. Service is attentive. It can get a little on the loud side so I wouldn't call the environment intimate. But I would warmly recommend the overall experience.
We are big fans of this restaurant. The food is consistent and excellent. Great cocktail menu too.
I love this restaurant that is almost a year old. It's Northern Italian cuisine so you don't come out stuffed but satisfied.
I became violently ill within hours of eating at North Italia. So even though the food was reasonably good, the vibe was nice enough, and the service was friendly, I can't say that I will ever come back here.
our family's total experience at north italia was great. the ambiance was terrific, the service was attentive and friendly, the food was excellent......a very enjoyable time!! this was our third time dining at north italia and we will most certainly be back.
this is a great addition to the Pennsylvania Ave neighborhood - especially since it is open all afternoon - not just opening at 5:30 PM for dinner.
It is much quieter at off hours as well.
Food is pretty good too!
Although he food never disappoints and the atmosphere is very nice, the service was absolutely horrible this time. This is reason enough to not come back anytime soon - she ignored us and was rude the entire night.
Business meeting with my team. A bit noisy but we were able to conduct our business and have a wonderful lunch!
I've eaten at North Italia twice now, and both times had a very satisfying experience. The zucca chips are addictive; and the "crispy" fried calamari over arugula with grilled lemon vinaigrette was very good -- although the calamari could have been just a tad crispier. They make a delicious simple salad, with pine nuts and gorgonzola vinaigrette. A friend ordered the Tuscan kale salad with pancetta, charred grapes, apple and pistacchio (parmesan vinaigrette) and was very happy with his choice. But the highlights for me were the pastas. The pasta bolognese (the house specialty) in a velvety sauce was truly excellent. And the squid ink mafaldine, with shrimp and calamari in a piquant red sauce was delightfully spicy and tasty -- even though I ordinarily don't care for squid ink pasta. (The server said it was her favorite dish). The restaurant is spacious, and can get fairly noisy in the bar area during happy hour -- although the noise level was acceptable at a table at the other end of the restaurant.
Excellent food and excellent atmosphere. Happened to go during DC restaurant week so we received a special for a 3-course meal and everything was superb and large enough portions to share. Service was great, never felt like I had to ask for anything. Loved the windows at the front of the restaurant and open concept.
Madeline is very nice..
The wait staff was wonderful! Very nice meal before a show at Kennedy center...
