A brilliant evening all around. Great atmosphere with a great band playing live music in the bar. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was part of a group of 10 with ages ranging from 4 to 60. Two of the adults are gluten intolerant and one has a nut alergy. I was very impressed with the care taken to ensure everyones needs were catered for. The food was delicious. My oldest son thought the fish and chips was the best he's ever had! I liked the mix of traditional pub food and more top end dishes of venison and pigeon as well as tasty vegetarian dishes on the menu. As it was Burns Night I was delighted to see haggis on the specials board. The staff were really helpful with the 4 and 5 year olds. The 4 year old boy loved the well which is a great feature. After the meal we spent some time in the games room which was great fun.

I found the noise level in the main room which is surrounded by windows (modern ) clean ! But it’s not cosy for a couple dining! Tables too close ! Very happy table at the back of the room but the table behind me was so close I could hardly pull chair out to climb “ into my space ! I am small build The food was so beautifully presented But my mistake I should have ordered more vegetables My meal only had broccoli This was my first visit with my husband and I won’t return if it’s just us , or couples who are just wanting to talk The coffee machine was going the noise was deafening! Staff friendly No cash just cards which I wasn’t told about Probably was on website.. But thought the staff could have said before hand

A first visit back to the Northbrook Arms since its reopening. What's not to like? Decor is extremely tasteful, food is excellent with a good core menu and a range of specials to augment it. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and very engaging, call out for Alastair as our man today. We will be recommending it to our friends and very definitely going back.

Great food, good service with attentive staff. Nice buzz about the place, very busy, so was essential to have booked. The only point I would add is that due to a problem with the front door not closing properly, which I understand is due to be dealt with, the front bar was a bit chilly despite a fire being lit. The staff were very good at trying to ensure that it remained firmly closed, but with people in and out the whole time this wasn't easy.
