Alongside our fantastic main menu we also have an Italian pizza oven and serve pizzas in our bar, garden or to takeaway
Guests may enjoy meals or drinks in our comfortable lounge bar with its dual-sided log burner lit daily during our colder months, or our Orangery located on the ground floor. For larger groups we also have several functions rooms upstairs which are perfect for any occasion.

This place is amazing and the food is truly outstanding couldn’t fault in anyway!
I came here with my family and it was a perfect. We all felt very relaxed with extremely welcoming waitresses and waiters. The food was amazing and will definitely come here again
Delicious food and great service! Would happily dine here every weekend.
The food was disappointing.. but the cocktails were fantastic!!
After our New Year stay in the Village it was a perfect end to the visit. Great venue with attentive staff .
Well priced wine list and great menu. The scallop starter was excellent. If we were ever in this area again would choose to eat at No Twenty 9 over and above elsewhere.
We went for a last minute early supper on a Sunday. It was fairly noisy on arrival but the large party finishing their lunch left quite shortly otherwise it would have been annoying. Food and service were very good as usual - the scallop starter was exceptional and the halibut excellent.
Excellent Sunday roast
Another great evening at 29, great atmosphere as usual.
We booked in for an evening meal and were seated upstairs, which was quiter than the downstairs seating. Service was propmpt and freindly and the food and wine were very good.
Not the cheapest place to eat out but fair for the quality and service.
Very noisy party in house, no that can't be helped but it does spoil your occasion but over cooking fish on a fire pit grill can be avoided and should be at the price charged. so noisy guests not good food and a £74.00 bill for 2 people with only one glass of wine and a non alcoholic beer just says we may go back for coffee as the décor is lovely, but dinner? No way.
Found this haven on a trip to Holkham for an event, restaurant was warm and friendly without the overbearing glitz of many high street competitors desperate to appeal at every level.
Food is a little expensive but beautifully prepared and hot on presentation, the overall ambience was superb with a qwerkie interior that really does work well, if I'm going to be robbed when eating out at least I should be made to 'feel nice' whilst this is occurring, No.29 made me and my partner very welcome and of course made us both feel 'nice'
We would recommend No.29 for its warmth, physically (great double sided stove centrally installed) and the attentiveness of the staff. (lovely lady who served us)
Extremely clean toilets (a real eye opener when visiting any restaurant)
Very impressed, will most certainly revisit again
The night started well, great place, great decoration, nice welcome. Lovely waitress. But sadly the food was a let down. Dry pigs cheek. Over cooked haddock, rubbery steak and poor attitude from the owner/manager. No customer service whatsoever. Left standing in restaurant while he went off to talk to the kitchen. It was us that weren't pleased with the food and that should have been good enough. We offered to pay for our drinks and after a lengthy wait we left paying for nothing. After 3 phone calls from him and no apology he is reporting us to the police for doing a runner. We are in our 60s and can't run anywhere! He could have made the evening great by treating us properly, but insisted there was nothing wrong with our food as he had tasted it. I hope he enjoyed it more than we did. It seems the customer couldn't have an opinion and should eat whatever is put in front of them.
Everything was fabulous except for the noise. Live band playing in the bar, we were the last table all the way at the back and our ears were still hurting. Could not hear waiters or ourselves speak, had to shout to a point of throat hurting all night. Very unpleasant. However, the area needs a place with live music, especially coming so close to Christmas so I can see why this is so popular, the bar and restaurant were packed. I would go again but definitely check first if live music on.
Lovely surroundings, they have made a really stylish restaurant and everything has been done to a very high standard. The food was good however we were really disappointed by the level of service. We sat upstairs where there are three large round tables. Unfortunately the waiter was unable to get between the tables being so close together. Instead he was sometimes having to circumnavigate the top floor to come in from another doorway. Likewise they were placing plates on windowsills. We asked for some table water but it did not arrive. We were left for 40 minutes with empty plates having finished our main course. In the end I had to go downstairs and remind the staff that we were not being attended to. Such a disappointment for a family celebration when everything else was to such a high standard.
Really enjoyed our breakfast there albeit we all felt the bacon was a little too salty and the scrambled egg over cooked. Nice setting and friendly staff
Nice ambiance & fun décor. Menu has a great balance of delicious sounding dishes - hard to choose!
Dishes selected and tried were nicely presented with interesting modern twists - some worked really well, some need re-thinking or refining. Service was good but levels could be increased with more attention to detail (our glasses of wine were served as we had almost finished our main course). Overall though a nice experience and we would happily return.
We had first visited in July and had a great meal. We decided to book it again for Father-in-law’s 60th birthday. We were the only people in the restaurant but rather than have one of the spacious round tables we were squeezed into one right up against a wall. We had scallops to start I say scallops but we actually only got one each padded out with pretty inedible bulk material. The mains were steaks and burgers and all were pretty awful. My steak was supposed surf and turf but it hadn’t been fried it felt like it had been boiled for hours and had an horrible smokey taste. The burgers were full of a really rank chutney and the meat itself was heavily infused with fennel or some other pungent herb that just wasn’t palatable. Shocking as the bill came in at over £250 and we felt robbed!
The wife was very happy, so I'm happy! Excellent food and service. Not cheap but definitely good value. And there is a menu for dogs too!
Service was excellent, very nice decor, in my opinion the food and drinks don’t reflect value for money.
Had a lovely meal on Friday evening. Great service and wonderful food, would definitely recommend.
First visit on Friday 9 th November. What a lovely place. Great food . Lovely staff. One of the nicest places that we have visited in a while. Would highly recommend.
Surprised as I have been told the food is fantastic. The food was ok but nothing special.
The food was way below the standard I expected. The starter of small piece of white fish on cold mashed potato was tasteless. The main course of lamb was so tough we could not eat any. (after complaining the staff willingly changed for another dish).
A pity it was so bad, but as a local resident at least we have several other good places to eat in our area.
We had an excellent meal with efficient service .
We would not hesitate to return ourselves or recommend No29 to others.
We had an enjoyable evening, but the food was not up to the standard we expected. It may be due to being Norfolk Restaurant week, but that shouldne be an excuse for just okay food and poor service. Two of our three Lamb main courses were very gristly, and the chargrilled flavour overpowered most of the other flavours. Starter Sea Bass portions were so small, and it was unexpectedly a cold dish. Didnt encourage me to want to go back. Loved the decor though....
We were really looking forward to our meal at this restaurant for Norfolk Restaurant week but we all felt that the menu let it down. For example, m starter of sea bass ballotine would have been so much better had the fish skin been sealed and served warm, also the mashed potato/chive puree was served cold which was not a good idea - basically cold mashed potato - the same was served with the main. It was described as a puree by the waitress but still, it didn't work we felt. We did mention this. The deserts were OK, the lemon cake a little dry. The restaurant itself was lovely, and the service was good. We had just wished the food matched it. The place was very busy, so I assume they simplified the menu to keep service ticking over which I can appreciate, but I just think a little more care over the menu and a few tweaks, it would have been a very memorable dinner for us.
Service felt rushed, food just average, men in the party left still hungry after 3 courses!
A lovely restaurant, very tastefully decorated with a good menu choice and friendly staff.
Love the food the cocktails and the vibe will definitely be back soon
Service was very good. However the food portions varied enormously within each section eg the lamb and seafood mains were very large portions but the pork was quite small.
We chose from the Norfolk Restaurant Menu. The food was imaginative, plentiful and delicious. I was particularly pleased as a vegetarian I often have either risotto or pasta as a main course but the mushroom and goats cheese was excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive and made the evening a great success.
We had never eaten there before but followed a recommendation. We will certainly return.
Nice to find a restaurant in North Norfolk that you can get Sunday lunch @ 4pm. And a great lunch it was, wonderful beef.
Another excellent lunch at no twenty 9.
Food Ambience and Staff all excellent
Service very very slow
Need more staff !!
Beautifully restored building in a charming Norfolk town. After a disappointing first visit soon after Twenty9 opened, we enjoyed our second visit much more. The standout dish was the wild mushroom and celeriac risotto with truffle oil. Service was adequate but could have been more informed and engaged given the upmarket presentation and relatively hefty price tag.
Loved that they had a cocktail menu, a fun way to start our meal. Then the food was fantastic, we both had the most delicious scallops, and chose dishes cooked on the fire pit.
Lovely evening spent with the family, was made to feel very welcome and we weren’t rushed through. Great food and very comfortable. Would come back for sure
Yet another wonderful evening. on my last review I questioned the choice of back ground music. This time it was perfect relaxing and not too 'heavy'
food and service were fab too, see you soon
Food overpriced and very rich. Some of waiting staff need to be better trained if you are going to charge London prices.
