No.Twenty9 Bar & Restaurant
Our fire pit is located in an ‘open’ kitchen for you to watch our chefs cooking your meal with the associated ‘theatre’ of live fire cooking. Our butchery and vegetable preparation kitchens are also open for you to observe the preparation of the freshest meat cuts, locally caught fish and locally sourced vegetables and garnishes.
Alongside our fantastic main menu we also have an Italian pizza oven and serve pizzas in our bar, garden or to takeaway
Guests may enjoy meals or drinks in our comfortable lounge bar with its dual-sided log burner lit daily during our colder months, or our Orangery located on the ground floor. For larger groups we also have several functions rooms upstairs which are perfect for any occasion.
returned with different friends for yet another a fantastic meal, everything was great, food service and seating. Our only little niggle was the music was quite 'heavy' and loud in the restaurant for some of the evening - but it didn't spoil things and I will be returning
Another good night out in an entertaining atmosphere with good, slightly different food. Our younger guest from Nottingham thought it was wonderful.
Had a lovely couple of meals here
London prices - Norfolk service
Good food and atmosphere but below average service and prices way beyond what it delivers on both fronts
Service good. Food dull, ordinary, reheated rather than cooked to order. Decor - tacky movie theme, very hard uncomfortable dining chairs. Ambience zero. Vastly overpriced. Do yourself a favour - go somewhere else.
A great experience!
2 friends and I had a lovely midweek evening meal. Lovely menu choice and good service. No complaints, would return.
First class service with locally sourced produce . The steak on this occasion contained quite a lot of sinue which was such a pity.
Great atmosphere and friendly service and fab gin and tonics !!
A last minute choice but a good find. Excellent service.
We had an amazing meal tonight everything was to perfection and we will definitely be back
Great food and service. Staff went extra mile for our anniversary too which was lovely
A great place to visit, great atmosphere and cocktails but still work needed on food, has the potential to be fabulous.
We want to No. Twenty9 to celebrate my husband birthday on a Monday evening, whilst on holiday in Norfolk. Overall the food was good, however despite sitting to eat at 5pm and only ordering a main course (which was pretty much the same dish) we didn’t receive our food until 6pm, when we were the only ones in the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the food quality is good, but the service for our experience wasn’t great. When we entered the restaurant, we were pretty much ignored by 2 bar staff and when we were finally shown to our table, the whole thing felt rushed and unorganised. We had to ask the waiter about specials, fish of day etc and for a bottle water a number times. Plus when we mentioned to the waiter about the wait for the main course, he said it was because we had booked early and they weren’t ready. When the food finally did arrive, 60mins later, there was no apology. For a meal the cost £70+ for a couple of drinks, main course and some ice cream, I think the service needs to better reflect the food quality and beautiful surroundings. There is a lot of competition in the Norfolk area and unfortunately we won’t be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
Very nice ambience, very good food and very good service.
We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere here. Only small drawback was that a couple of times our drinks took a long time to arrive and we had to remind the staff.
This was our first visit to Twenty9. The whole place was buzzing, great bar atmosphere and at last a real alternative to the Hoste! Food was excellent and well presented.
Good food, good service and good beer too, what more could anyone want.
Would highly recommend.
Came here for the first time this week and what a great find it is, the bar staff were extremely polite and made us feel really welcome they made us both a great cocktail and we sat on their superb Union Jack leather sofa soaking up the fabulous chic atmosphere so much so that we booked a table the following evening for dinner.
The meals we had were presented in a lovely way and they tasted devine, the accompanying wine was just delicious!
We both retired to the bar area afterwards for another fabulous espresso martini and a very chilled out evening.
Couldnt fault the service, meal or ambience and would most certainly recommend it.
Thank you to all the staff for such great evenings, we’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Burnham Market.
We had an absolutely amazing time- but there were a table of very noisy children (at least 8 kids) which ruined the vibe a little. But service and food were spotless! Thank you for a fab night!
What an amazing and lovely restaurant and the Caribbean Chef was fantastic over the bank holiday weekend. Will be back for sure.
Fantastic place and a real boost to Burnham Market as it compliments the established restaurants perfectly - the owner flew over his head Chef and Mixologist from the sister restaurant in Nevis for a Caribbean themed weekend - live bands and themed menu choices - had the shrimp curry which was awesome while listening to the steel band outside. The rest of the family had mushroom risotto, fish & chips and sausage & mash (kids menu) which was all fab.
Love 29, and definitely our restaurant of choice when in Burnham.
Initially seated upstairs, with only one other couple, but as we certain things off the menu were only available downstairs (?!) we moved to a much more atmospheric area. Attentive staff, nice food, moderately priced.
This was my birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. The decor is boutique chic, cream painted brick walls, amazing large photos of celebrities, icons who are no longer with, us not previous celebrity guests at restaurant. Very good interesting menu. My daughter is vegan but will eat fish on rare occasions, due to there being no vegan options she had halibut which was wonderful. I had loin of pork which was a little overcooked, still delicious. I mentioned the pork to the waiter who apologized, this was not reflected in the bill which was a little disappointing. My starter of raw mackerel with cucumber salad was wonderful, as was my dessert of rhubarb prepared in various ways. A lovely touch was the home made chocolates I was given as a birthday. Due to the prices, this is a place for special occasions.
Everything was just about perfect. Food excellent, attentive service, v good choices and an interesting rum menu. There were six of us including two children and we had a lovely circular table on the first floor. There was a children’s menu which worked v well.
Perfect food, wine, service and atmosphere
I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be going back.
Excellent evening and experience
We had a great experience dining at No. Twenty9. There was a great vibrant atmosphere along with being very welcoming. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the food was outstanding. There were two young children in our party so it was really great to be seated in a private room which helped us to feel very relaxed during our meal. We will definitely be visiting again when we are next in the area.
Our first visit to no 29. Service very slow to begin. Only a Tuesday evening and did not appear to be very full. Young wine waiter was not trained. Tried to open and bottle and just leave us to pour - very unprofessional- did not ask if we would to try it! For price of food would expected a properly trained wine waiter. However food delicious and we were pleased with our choices. You must train staff to charge London prices. Also chef looked scruffy and hassled.
Love the decor and great bar area and extensive cocktail and rum list ! Great place to go for drinks and dessert but I would give the main meal a miss . London prices but definitely not London quality on the food front . Perhaps the chef should consider a
Less extensive menu to try and improve the quality .
Lovely place , excellent food, very helpful & friendly staff
Booked table online for weekday evening meal. Arrived and immediately met by a waitress with an iPad. We were half an hour earlier as we wanted a drink at the bar first, which was good as she said the kitchen were “backed up” so there would be a wait. Even though it was a Wednesday evening and looked pretty quite. We were seated 40 minutes after our booked time by the waitress. Our order was taken by yet another waitress and brought to us by an other!! There seemed to be more staff than diners. The food was average at best and over priced for what it was. We had deserts which were again served by a waiter this time and like the mains, were nothing to write home about. Sticky toffee pudding which couldn’t make up its mind if it was toffee, chocolate or banana with a triangle of what looked and tasted like a tiny piece of toast (you’ll see what I mean). The cheese cake was also mediocre at best. After reading other reviews we were looking forward to trying this place, however if it was in a city with some competition, it wouldn’t last five minutes based on our experience.
Stylish and buzzy
food was nice but not exceptional
The best Sunday lunch we’ve had for a while, this is now our new favourite!!
Lovely evening. Cocktails in the garden followed by a lovely dinner inside. I had lamb which was perfectly cooked. There were sufficient vegetarian choices for my partner. Staff were attentive and efficient.
Great food & service
This was my first dining experience at No.29, was a Monday evening not very busy, there were many waiting staff in the restaurant however they seemed to lack experience.
We were told our table was ready whilst enjoying a drink in the bar area however we had to wait a good 20mins at our table until the starter arrived, when we could have still been enjoying our wine in the bar area, I had to ask for the bread with my starter, table was half cleared when we’d finished a meal, as the waitress forgot to come back to clear the other plates.
The service really let down what is a lovely restaurant, which serves good food.
Great venue, staff extremely friendly and helpful, food excellent...will be returning.
We found Twenty9 via Trip Advisor and it was a good choice
The food and service were both very good
They said they had no tables on the gf which seemed more "buzzy" and I was disappointed we had to take a table upstairs which was virtually empty and a bit soul less. Having said that the service was very good and attentive plus the owner came up to see us twice to make sure all was ok
You dont find that often enough
Nice building, good food and fair price
Id go back
Interesting and unusual menu, excellent friendly service, and somewhere between lively and noisy ! A great choice of excellent desserts, and very reasonabley priced wine list
Great food, we found it very noisey. Happy people but not easy to have your own conversation
First time we have been. Nice buzz about the place, good interior, varied menu. Not exactly cheap, but then this is Burnham Market I suppose! Service decent and very nice staff, although we did cause a problem when asking to see the label on a bottle of wine before ordering it. Perhaps a Restaurant aspiring to be at this level should invest in a wine waiter, or at least a member of staff who is trained up to know the wine list inside out?
Our steak was excellent and the starter even better, so we will be returning.
