A very special place. Lovely people lovely food. A remarkable family restaurant to find at this location which is otherwise so dominated by chains and tourist traps.
The food was good, unfortunately we were the only ones in the restaurant so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere- most probably a combination of midweek and Coronavirus so no fault of the restaurant
Had a lovely early evening supper. Very well looked after. Food was tasty. Thank you.
A nice cosy place to enjoy a meal with friends. Lebanon beer was excellent. The kibbeh as the starter and mixed kebab for the main were both nice and aromatic. Finished off with a generous amount of mint tea with very fresh bakhlava that were not overtly sweet. Next time, I would like to try some vegetable dishes.
Quite place, nice restaurant but it could be much better in food, value and service...
The food was very poor, chicken wings undercooked and shawarma mushy
Food was fresh and served quickly. Service was friendly
Poor value for money, no atmosphere, dirty toilets with limescale around the taps. Menu dirty and taped together. Furniture stored up in a pile at the back of the restaurant. The waiter had no concept of what a vegan eats. Overall a run down restaurant.
This is a restaurant that the 70’s desperately wants to forget. Terrible decor, poor service and TERRIBLE food! I swear the chef doesn’t know what salt or any form of seasoning is. Avoid avoid avoid.
We discovered Nouf through its already excellent reviews. It did not disappoint! I would go to Nouf Restaurant again and again!
Food was not good. Cold mezze tasted like they came straight from the fridge. Shish taouk (chicken) was heavily coated with seasonings and clearly not cooked over a flame, which is traditional. Even hummus tasted different - not in a good way. Very nice staff, but I can not recommend. Ate two bites and left everything else.
Friendly welcoming service, cosy authentic atmosphere and delicious food - the falafels were the best I’d had in a long time!
Had a predinner meal before a theatre show. It was very quiet and the service was good. The lamb dish was fair and the appetizer was also just okay. However, the next day, neither of us felt good in our stomachs-the common denominator was the meal the night before. Anyway, not sure if we just had a coincidental bug or our ailments came from Nouf.
Lovely mezze. Best thing was the homemade lemonade though.
A great little place near Buckingham Palace. Recommended restaurant to visit, good prices and tasty authentic Lebanese food - a must visit
The owners were lovely, and made us feel welcome, we booked but there was plenty of space. We had a set menu as we hadn't had Lebanese before, the food was okay, found it rather overpriced for what it was, I was looking forward to the meat the most as It was something I knew however that wasnt anything too spectacular, again especially for the price. Perhaps i just dont like Lebanese food. Lovely place still worth a look
We booked a table for 5pm as we were going to see a show and thought it might be busy - it wasn’t! By the time we left around 6.50pm, there were 4 other diners but that was all. This could have been fortunate as it was a very hot day and the restaurant is quite small so we were glad to sit by an open window even if it was looking out into the back walls of surrounding buildings. The young waiter did his best to answer our questions about an unfamiliar menu, and we ordered several plates of meze to share plus a plate of chargrilled veg and a trio of meat kebabs. Some of the chargrilled veg were only partly cooked (eg. Carrots, aubergine, onions) but the meat kebabs were cooked well. The best dish was smoked aubergine and the baklava desserts were good.
Was nice food but expensive. I eat Lebanese very often and have had much better for a lot less. I guess your paying for location! When I booked I was expecting somewhere a lot posher but I though I had the wrong place when I arrived as it looked like a cafe from the outside. My other moan was that they wouldn’t serve rose wine by the glass. All in all it was a pleasant place, friendly staff and nice food
Very nice authentic restaurant with excellent service and really good food. We enjoyed it very much.
Ate lunch in this lovely restaurant close to Buckingham Palace. We started with humus and for main tried the chicken shawarma. Both courses came quickly and were served with a smile. It was a shame the restaurant was so empty as people are missing out
Very good pre theatre food, owner was very welcoming.
On very busy road but you would hardly notice once inside.
This is a little hole in the wall place which has more of an emphasis on shabby than chic. We were the first dinner customers but the lamb was clearly reheated vs freshly cooked. While overall acceptable (barely), there are many better places to eat nearby.
On first impressions, the location is a bit off-centre and quiet and the decor shabby and relaxed. It is obviously family-run, but this was part of the charm. We were well looked after and service was speedy and attentive. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and plentiful. Overall, a great place to meet friends for a relaxed and intimate experience with staff genuinely interested in making your visit a positive one. Price per head worked out about £50 including wine.
I really loved the restaurant, the food was great and also the service. I’d really love to go there again
A mixed bag - service was friendly and quick and the vegetarian dishes were very flavourful. The lamb dish we ordered was awful though - dry, tough meat. A real let down especially for £15. Costs are quite high for what it is - my advice, stick with a few veggie mezze for a light meal and steer clear of the mains.
Friendly staff happy to help without being overly attentive. Excellent food with good vegetarian selection.
Good food. Friendly staff. Thank you. Will come again.
Food was not nice, prawns over cooked looked dirty didn’t even want to go in
Generous portions and prompt service for pre-theatre booking. Freshly squeezed orange juice was a highlight.
Hidden gem in Victoria area. The food is very good, friendly service. Definitely recommend
We booked this restaurant for a friends meal. On first impressions we were a little disappointed as the restaurant seemed very old fashioned and dated. However the food was good a little over priced for what you got.
Following the matinee of Hamilton at the Victoria palace theatre, we wanted to go somewhere a bit different to the corporate restaurants but not too far away. We found Nouf and it was delightful! I think it was the owner who greeted us and he was really polite and friendly. The menu was really good with lots of choices of authentic Lebanese dishes. The service throughout was great and the food and drinks were all served quickly. The food was devine and all three of us really enjoyed each of the dishes we ordered. The baklava to finish was also really lovely. This is a gem of a restaurant for those who like to try something a bit different and I would highly recommend.
After searching for a Lebanese cuisine, I stumbled across Cafe Nouf. I decided to try it out and I am glad to say that I do not regret it! I was greeted by the owner and the staff were all friendly. I went for the Chicken Shishtawu and hummus to accompany it. I was not disappointed. I would also recommend their choice of Baklawa as a sweet end to your meal.
Will definitely be coming here soon again.
Hi catherine. Thank you for your lovely review we look forward to seeing you next time. Cafe Nouf Restaurant.
Authentic Lebanese food in London. Nice ambience and good selection of both hot and cold mezzes. Will visit again!
Great experience and value for money in the heart of Victoria. Welcoming and attentive owner, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.
Hi Robert. Thank you very much for your lovely review . We hope to see you again . Cafe Nouf Restaurant
Utterly filthy and entirely dismal. Lovely waitress but the owner was odious in every sense of the word. Avoid!
You have eaten all you food, none of your co-diners complained whilst in the restaurant about any thing, our restaurant is spotlessly clean and rated **** by westmintster council. How can you say odious about someone who has never intracted with you at all? Everything was fine until the bill came and you had to pay, you then became verbally agressive, the owner ignored your abuse because he is professional, I am sorry we are not a charity, everyone should pay politely for what they consume.
Nouf was shabbier and the food was less interesting than I would expect from a four-star review. Run-of-the-mill Lebanese food, nothing special. Store-bought pitas, iceberg lettuce. The food seemed kind of pre-prepared.
Very dated, food forgotten from order and not like as described on the menu. Quite overpriced and doesn’t include sides like most Lebanese restaurants
Thanks Miss Helen for your review , Sorry to hear that food is missing from your order. You should say when you were in the Restaurant and we will give you what is missing Mistakes happen. We always make sure with our clientes if every thing alright. Our price is the cheapest According to other lebanese Restaurant. All charcoal grilled main courses included salad.. All NOUF SPACIAL comes with rice but not shawarmas We offer bread/baklawa on the house We look forward to seeing you next time
Wonderful atmosphere, right in the heart of London. Lovely, warm welcome - despite being an hour early. Spent over four hours enjoying the delicious food and amazingly priced house white. This is a gem of a place. Will definitely return. A little piece of heaven.
Quiet place for lunchtime mezze. Food was good and proportions ample - if anything too much!
