Really enjoyed this, my second visit to Nour. Understandably quieter than last time, there was still a pleasant atmosphere, and an excellent menu and wine list. Service was prompt. Food was excellent across the 8 or so dishes we had. Two slight whinges- we were asked if we wanted extra pitta bread, and said no. 2 arrived with another dish, so we wondered if part of same, so didnt send them back, and ate them with the other dishes. Charged $7.50 for these when received bill. Later, waitress mentioned we had eggplant and another two dishes to come, and we said we had already had the eggplant. However, when the other dishes arrived, there was more eggplant in the group, later showing on the bill as another $22. Again, perhaps we should have been more forceful when they were ultimately presented, as well as before, so we ended up eating both, and so couldn’t raise this when the bill was presented. Perhaps our fault, but also the restaurant, as the 4 of us were q clear first time. Sl frustrating, as not a cheap restaurant, but happy to pay for excellent food and wine we ask for!
Fantastic..left special requests in booking and everything was attended too. Highly recommend. Food and flavours outstanding
Yum yum yum! The yummiest cocktails and such delicious food.
The service was great and the restaurant is beautiful designed. However, the dishes were quit small and not that unique, dissaponting when their price is high. We've been charged on water and soda without mention that the restaurant charge 5$ each.
The most incredible food! Definitely will go again
I love lunching here with friends. Always well looked after and the food is great. Not the cheapest option on Crown Street but what you pay is returned manyfold. 😀
amazing food! would go back for sure. Authentic, yet new dishes, great flavors.
We went for Sunday lunch and this was our second visit to Nour...our initial Sunday lunch visit was amazing, but were a bit disappointed this time around as out of the two protein mains available on the menu (fish or spatchcock) fish apparently was not available at 1:30pm?
The food quality is amazing...was surprised to not be offered any dessert or coffee after our meal? The waitress was careless and non-attentive...which was surprising as our waiter on first experience was all over it and did an outstanding job to make us feel welcome.
We will come again for dinner as the dinner menu offers more choice than lunch.
Can’t fault the food....but hope to have more attentive focused service next visit with all food being available to select.
This is the second time I have eaten at Nour and the food is absolutely delicious!! The first occasion I was really impressed by how much the staff were proud and happy with the product they served and being part of a great restaurant. This time though the table we were seated at was near to the sideboard where the waiters bickered or rushed about and clanked cutlery in and out of the draw. It was a disappointing contrast to what was otherwise a beautiful meal. I would recommend Nour for the food but would advise others to avoid Table 80 at all costs. I hope it is better next time.
Food was good but the constant reminders to be out after 2 hours pushed us out earlier than normal
The food was excellent. Still thinking about the short rib and the hummus! Really good wine and service too.
Great food, staff and atmosphere! One of my favorite restaurants in Sydney
It was a very rushed visit on the way to the Theatre but have to go back as it was just devine. All the staff were just wonderfull and the food is to die for.
Service, food, wines, atmosphere, the gratitude from the staff made for a memorable evening. Definitely coming back and bringing family and friends. You guys should be proud, keep it that way focusing on the flavours and friendly and you guys will kill it every time. 👍👍
lovely food service and atmosphere! incredibly flavoursome food. Portions could be a little bigger however it is perfect for a light lunch
Great food, service and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices.
Nour has amazing food with very modern takes on classic Lebanese dishes. I was told of the restaurant by a fellow traveler and it did not disappoint. The lichee cocktail was the best cocktail I’ve ever had with perfect combinations of sweet lichee and Lovely rose water. Definitely a must experience in Sydney. The only reason I did not give all 5 stars is a mishap with my reservation resulting with a 30 minute wait to order. However, they did their best to recover and covered the perfect cocktail mentioned above.
Small servers that were nothing special, lacked seasoning.
Absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back. So delicious.
Great service. The lamb and cauliflower as a shared main were delicious.
Why haven’t I been here before?? What a find. Sydney dining at its best 👍🏻
Food was absolutely delicious, perfect portion size. Wait staff were attentive but not in your face.
I was given a voucher to Nour as a Xmas present. Had never been before and took my son, daughter in law and toddler grandson. Great experience from start to finish. We each chose banquet 2 so we could sample. Absolutely Delicious. Even my toddler grandson kept asking for more. We will go again. Scrumptious food. Fabulous service. Thank you Nour.
The food was great par the fattoush salad which was just not right. The Samake Harra was delicious and so were the mezza. Dessert and coffee were good too. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The biggest disappointment was how loud it was! Music was pumping like you're in a nightclub. Way too loud for higher end restaurant and it is definitely not for an intimate dinner.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are grateful to hear you enjoyed your time with us. We will address the fattoush salad, we apologize if this wasn't to your taste. I have passed this on to the chef. We look forward to welcoming you at Nour in the future.
Well done with the food. Very tasty! Good service.
Could be improved: The lighting could be better. Maybe a candle or so wd thing in the middle of the table. My shadow was cast each time I had a bite.
Best dining experience many have had for a while. Will be well remembered, and would highly recommend. Thank you.
Our waiter Isa was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming.
Food was outstanding, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Particular highlights: the slow cooked lamb - melt-in-your-mouth and flavoursome, the pumpkin shish barak - so perfectly caramelised the dumplings had almost a toffee like taste, and the shanklish as a starter - similar to a marinated feta with dill and pickles, served with a perfectly soft and fluffy pita bread. Perfect ambience, they have nailed the music, lighting and decor. Noise level is lively but not too loud or harsh which I love. Waitstaff are professional and good at explaining the menu.
The restaurant is very noisy, the food is ok. The Sommelier or the person sent to talk to us about wine sounded very insecure with his explanations. The second bottle of wine came when the food was nearly finished.
Hello Lily, Firstly we would like to thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. It is very important to us. We take all feedback seriously, and the above is being addressed. We sincerely hope to welcome you back at Nour in the future
Nour is one of the best restaurants in Australia! The new menu is awesome; every single dish on the menu is incredible. The service and hospitality are always perfect as well. You can count on Nour and it's amazing team to always deliver a truly wonderful lunch or dinner.
Fabulous fabulous fabulous fabulous fabulous fabulous
By far the most inspiring restaurent & dishes taking middle eastern & lebanese culinary experience to the next level. The taste and combination of flavors is faultless. A huge variety of dishes can suit a variety of diets including vegetarians and vegans.
Double birthday with great friends. We have dined at Nour now at least 6 times mainly for group celebrations and it is always first class. Wines are on the pricey side but food, ambience and service are fabulous.
Gorgeous restaurant with mouth-wateringly good food and cocktails. Service was a a little bit slow but it was a busy evening! Would definitely go back!
Outstanding food and excellent service. The banquet was divine and Nour easily accommodated a vegetarian. I will definitely be back
Great food; knowledgable service. Recommend the spatchcock.
The food is fantastic but the music is quite loud which reduces conversation. A lot of patrons are using mobile phone flashes which was distracting and annoying. However it was a Saturday night and it was very crowded and we were rushed through so the next sitting could commence.
The food was outstanding. Innvovative twists on old favourites and new tastes and dishes which completely delighted us. We have already recommended it and are planning our next meal at Nour!
A superb meal and definitely one of the best restaurants in Sydney. I recommend the octopus entre that I decided was my favourite dish as soon as I tasted it and before the other meals had been served. Simply outstanding and surprising. Thank-you to the team.
