Novello Restaurant & Bar
For old world charm, dine indoors. For a tropical "Addison Mizner" feel, opt for a table on the patio. Order a bottle from their well stocked wine cellar as you peruse the menu. An Italian Super Tuscan, Moscato, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo or Chianti by the bottle or the glass sets the mood.
At Novello, we suggest that you dine like an Italian...share!

Great local place with good food and excellent service
Always a wonderful experience - great food, great ambience, attentive staff - Marco is a wonderful host!
A wonderful evening, The service was impeccable! Our waiter anticipated our needs before we could ask. Food selections were amazing.
The special lobster entree was wonderful! Portions were large…. Sitting outside on the patio was perfect….fans kept us cool.
Wine choices great and the lemoncella at the end of the meal topped off a perfect evening. Can’t wait to return!
Been there many times every time I go it gets better and better love the place give it a try
What a treat. Just walking on to the patio brings back memories of the ‘60s and then descending even deeper in the restaurant. The furniture is ancient. The decorations are at least that old too. The menus have to be seen to believed. But the food… Classic Italian that transcends comfort food. Incredible number of features each night where they play with the classics to make them new. Kind of loud due to close quarters and low ceilings. Just a wonderful Italian experience and it will be in our regular rotation. A winner on all counts.
Total surprise to me , it’s been there a while but I had no idea
Staff , owner helpful attentive and engaging
Great dishes at reasonable prices versus their not inconsiderable competition nearby
Definitely will be a regular stop for me
See you after our travels , Marco
All was wonderful except the service was slow.
Solid good food!
Always great food. Never had a bad meal. Servers are very knowledgeable.
We had a family reunion for 8 adults here. It was a wonderful meal and evening. The food was incredible. The service was excellent. The owner made us feel very welcome. Complimentary cookies and limoncello at the end of the meal was a perfect finish. Will be back soon!
We always return & have been for the past 7 years since the restaurant has been open .. great food, great wine, great host! Be prepared to sometimes wait for both a table and or your food as it gets really busy in- season.. but it’s worth the wait!!
Great local place with good food and great service
Our dinner for four was seated promptly as requested, with a bottle #1 of wine we brought opened on and sipped as we waited a not uncomfortable time for out busy waiter to get to us. We were served the usual hot garlic bread. The orders were taken with what seemed a longer than normal time for the 2 courses. As our waiter had a bunch of tables, another waiter helped clear and provide clean silverware. The appetizer course was great!
The table was a little small for the dishes, flatware water and wine glasses, so when a knife was retrieved by a bus boy , down went a glass ( 1/6 full ) of red wine onto my wife, staining the inside of her left arm jacket sleeve. We were quickly attended to and they asked they should have it cleaned or do we want to bring a receipt. The main courses were great, and my wives veal chop was gigantic and was served on a enormous plate (enough for all 4 of us to eat!) We had delicious expressos, yummy canolies, a [plate of cookies, but declined the offer of Lemonchello by the owner. A bit expensive ($230 per couple) but excellent food quality and taste. The check included 2 corkages @ $35! As we left very full and happy, veal chop parm and spagetti in a bad to go, the owner chided "don't put anything else on that dry cleaning bill", We will surely go back soon for another 5^ dinner!
We waited for food 1 1/2 hours and when it came everyone’s food was overly salted. Service was slow and inattentive. $12 was charged for changing from red sauce to oil and garlic when pasta was part of the meal.
As always, fabulous!! I live in South Beach, and I drive for an hour to eat at this phenomenal restaurant. Thank you Marco for running such a great place!
We have been to Novello several times, but this time it did disappoint. The Cesar salad lacked taste, no anchovies which usually add to define that salad. One of us had the seafood special, which had 4 teeny tiny lobster tails if you can call them that along with 3 shrimp in a light pink sauce over pasta. Certainly not worth the 64.00 price tag charged.
The shrimp francese sauce could have had abit more lemon flavoring. The veal chop parm special was huge, but not great. Food this evening was a let down.
Always great food & service & lovely atmosphere. Marco is always the most wonderful & gracious host. Love Novello. Best fine dining Italian restaurant in Boca.
Everything was great. Classic Italian and great ambiance and service. We will be back regularly
Been there many times the food is excellent can't get better also the service is great . I must go!!
Service and food were great.
We had an excellent meal. The food was great and the owner was hilarious. The outside eating areas is gorgeous.
We have been dining at Novello since it opened. The outdoor patio is lovely, with a very European vibe. The food never fails, and owner/host, Marco is welcoming, charming and a bit flirtatious; in an Italian way, of course.
My significant other is a huge fan of the veal chop and I usually order lamb chops. (If it ain't broke don't fix it, right?) The branzino is also pretty wonderful. The garlic bread is to die for.
The wait staff is impeccable and attentive.
We never feel rushed and we always feel valued.
One of our favorite places! Great food and service. Good portions and always well paced!
The food was good, not extraordinary
The service left a lot to be desired. The waiters were brusque, and we were in and out in an hour. Felt rushed throughout.
We’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it so we went again. Both times on Saturday night. Although the food was exceptional, the service was not. Yes, they were short handed but no excuse to be totally ignored. Never got the pasta I asked for. Never got the grated cheese I asked for. Never ever got a refill of water.
I may go back but just not sure.
Novello was a great restaurant. Great food and service and ambiance. Saturday night we sat in a dark overcrowded room and our poor waiter was so overwhelmed with all the tables he had to serve. The only good thing was the bottle of wine. Veal Sorrento our favorite dish tasted shoe leather. it definitely was not baby veal. My Bronzino was frozen - smelled fishy and was full of bones. The other dish of oysters - dried up and chewy and the veal chop was so bad - not edible. I am used to enjoying a delicious meal - outside - with great service and incredible food at Novello. Diners that came in after us were served first. It took so long to clear the table of the awful food - then waited for a check.
Out of compassion, we left our normal 25% tip and will never return again.
Food was adequate, service slow
Great as usual. Outstanding service and food
Excellent service and the food was very good. Reservations are a must.
Too noisy to me. Does everybody has to scream? Why?
First time here. Loved that the bartop was reserved per my request. Owner and bartender knowledgeable and friendly. However, I was shocked at the $18 price of a belvedere martini, especially with the extremely small size. Ordered the pear filled pasta and it had no pear taste at all. The chicken with red pepper sauce was flavorful.
Very disappointing. Friends had raved about it. Too expensive. Penne Norma was good but not great.
The veal piccata was a little tough and the vegetables with the dish were sent back- too hard.
The hostess said they can’t get the vegetables right! REALLY???
Positano is way better!
Very nice experience
This restaurant is in a small strip center in Boca Raton, FL. It has remarkable food. Excellent ingredients and preparation. The two times we ate there, we had different waiters. Each one was very professional and very knowledgeable about the menu and all of the many specials. I highly recommend this place for all occassions.
Love Novello! My favorite restaurant in Boca!
Our go to place. Eat here 2X per week. Wonderful food, great service and the ambience outdoors is very nice. Marco (tell em Barry sent you) knows how to create a 5 star dining experience.
Novello is the best! Best food, service and owner Marco is always so nice!! My favorite in Boca!
We go here often and have always been pleased
Good food and good service
I believe they were understaffed. Nevertheless, I really liked the food and ambiance. I would visit again.
so sorry to say this was one of the worst high end restaurants my family and I have ever experienced
