Food and service always great!! Was very crowded so food took a bit longer than usual, but worth the wait!!

During Covid, I made an appointment for outdoor dining with my wife and one year old, and Novo was seating everybody indoors, with poor mask wearing and no spacing between tables. Very irresponsible, illegal, and just plain obnoxious that we showed up with a hungry baby and had to leave and find somewhere else to eat.
First time dining here on Valentines Day. Although the menu was limited as they usually are on this day it was outstanding! The sea bass was delicious. My husbands first steak was overdone and within minutes our waiter had a perfectly cooked one on the table. Cocktails were pricey but made just like we make them at home. Dessert also did not disappoint. Order the chocolate cake! Can’t wait to go back and try more yummy things on their regular menu.
Made Valentine's Day reservation for 5 people, showed up at appointed time, was told they were closed. After we objected to that suggestion, they said they could seat us if we came back in half an hour. We returned half an hour later, and they said that the owner had decided that they were only going to serve a fixed menu for $80.00 per person and we had the option to leave if we wanted. We looked at what they were offering, and we did not think it was worth $80.00 since we didn't eat a lot of what was on the fixed menu, and we don't drink wine. We looked online on their website and on open table and it had no mention of an $80.00 per person fixed menu. The people behind us left (family of 4-2 kids, 2 adults) after they heard about the upsell, and we of course left as well. Then we had to scramble around looking for a place to eat - ON VALENTINE'S DAY! O what fun!
I made a reservation and when i arrived at the restaurant i was told that they didn’t take reservations and that they were closed when the restaurant looked open and customers were still dining and picking up orders and making orders . very confused as to why i was told they didn’t take reservations when i clearly had made one
my experience with Novo cafe was terrible. I made reservations in advance when i got there to check in the person taking our reservation was extremely rude, he said we didn't have a reservation because your computer system was messed up and my reservation never should have been taken. I even got a text the day before to confirm my reservation. The lady's restroom was dirty, there was no toilet paper nor soap to wash my hands. The menu was a fixed selection and price, at the time of the reservation I was told I would get a menu in advance, this never happened. The 4 of us were not happy at all with this experience and at this point I have been telling my friends about it. Plus I can't even say the food was good. Terrible

Love going to this place with the lady. It was a super busy night, the Saturday even of Valentines Day. Would be tough for anyone to score 5 stars on service under that kind of load. Our food was fantastic, as always. Place seems to be managed by some great people, and we are thankful that they are able to serve us right now.
I was totally uncomfortable with this restaurant Saturday night. We had a reservation, but was told by the Host they were "overbooked" and we waited 45 minutes to sit down, right next to a door, mere inches from another couple. It was my first time at a restaurant in over 4 months, and we left early because we were so uncomfortable. If Novo Cafe isn't following protocols you can see, it makes me wonder what they are doing behind closed doors!
It was great to find a restaurant that would sit us indoors! Food was great, service was good but they could have used more help. This was out second time eating here and we will be coming back soon. Oh the chicken Marsala was delicious!
Our food and server were excellent! However, the food was backed up in the kitchen and took around 1.5hr to come out.. which is okay but when you're super hungry, not the greatest. Will be coming back because the food is outstanding! Our server was Saul and he did excellent even though the food was late.
It’s always such a pleasant experience at Novo. The service is fantastic. The wine selection is wonderful. The food is deeeelicious. The ambiance is perfect!

Novo has excellent service and food that warms your stomach. They prepare food with the best ingredient LOVE. My only wish is that they stay open for at least the next 20 years and keeps that family atmosphere. Thank you for saving all of us during this time in history!
A good dining bet for any occasion. Have dined here several times. Came back when restaurants recently opened up after a couple of months. I was surprised that even indoor dining was open! Staff was limited due to COVID, however, it was an enjoyable meal. I recommend this restaurant.
I liked the food! But don’t come here if you are afraid of the virus! They seated us inside, which I didn’t expect, and it wasn’t busy at the time. But after 15 minutes, they started packing everyone in! It was so uncomfortable! If we go again, we will ask to sit outside.

Would not recommend this restaurant if your in the mood for authentic Italian food. Had to send back 2 bottles of wine and food was mediocre. Halibut special was over-cooked and pasta was not al dente. Bread was served cold and dry. Caprese salad was served iced cold, the burrata was not good and tomatoes were frozen & they forgot to put basil. Manager was friendly and tried to accommodate us, when we requested to be moved because the initial table we sat at was near a door with a big draft. I would only recommend this restaurant if no other options to dine in WLV, since they were open during Covid shutdown. Other Italian restaurants in WLV that are better options.
Great day date. Food was great. Service was a little slow but they were very busy and we didn’t mind.
Outstanding hospitality from the minute you walk thru the door. Greeted by the ever charming and oh so professional Massimo. You get treated like your family and the hospitality is refreshing. The food is off the charts, the waiters are incredibly professional and all practice PPE. Nothing but good things to say about this place, try to get there soon.

For Open Table - Please call the restaurant to confirm. This is very disappointing that the restaurant didn’t take responsibility for our reservation. This is unexceptionable. This happened to us 3 times at Novo!
I am disappointed with restaurants who use Open Table and do not follow through with their customers reservations. Please fix this ASAP!

Had a wonderful date, was quickly greeted and sat down! Our drinks did take a little bit to get to us, but overall it was great! Indoor and outdoor dining was a plus!!

First of all I was elated to know that there was one restaurant open that served indoor dining and followed strict PPE protocols. The food and the service was amazing. I actually enjoyed myself so much, I’ve booked it twice more in this week to go back. The homemade pastas were epic and the only thing I would do is add more selections on wine by the bottle. Lovely location and I highly recommend it.

Being one of the very few places open for seated dining these days they were very busy. We had a reservation for 7:00 and were seated close to 7:30. I had to give the host my name as if I di not have a reservation as he wrote it on a piece of paper. IT seems they do not sync up their reservation book with OpenTable reservations.
It was at least 15 minutes before our server came by. Service was VERY slow. We had to flag the server down to inquire about the status of our meal: first for the salads then for the main course. From when we ordered until the main course arrived was at lest 45 minutes.
Again, I am sur the kitchen was busy as there were several large groups seated. That said, the service I have received in my past visits (within the last 3 weeks) was much faster and efficient.
Food was very good as usual.
We were glad to be there to support restaurants that are opening up. The service was not that good because they were swamped with customers. Thank you Novo for a dine in experience. We support you 100%.
Even though I made a reservation and confirmed it the day before, they had no record of it. Luckily, our wait was short. Light pour on drinks. Had three different waiters. Steaks were well done instead of requested med rare. Seafood salad was disappointing-hardly any greens and a few grilled calamari. The best dish was the salmon and sautéed spinach. Asked for more bread and never received. Final check needed correction. Perhaps another time when it is less hectic would be better. And, yes, we will try it again sometime in the future.

Had a reservation for 6:30 p.m. I called to note I was about 10 inutes behold, but got there at 6:40. I was told to wait in a line with about 10-12 others (I was told that it was the check-in line. After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked a man who appeared to be the owner (he was carrying the reservation book) and told him I had a reservation and had already waited in line for half-an-hour. His answer was to the effect of "have some patience, we're trying to get everyone seated, please wait." Why would I make a reservation if it is not going to be honored.
