No. Fifty Cheyne
The ruby-red First-Floor Cocktail Bar & elegant Drawing Room that overlooks Albert Bridge, the River Thames and the charming Cheyne Gardens.
Utterly brilliant find - stunning sumptuous decor and delicious food! Expensive however worth it for the experience and quality of food which was excellent. Small but superb selection of wines and lovely cosy bar area for after dinner! This is a local find - I’ve been trying to get a table since the refurb was completed and never expected to walk into such a gorgeous setting - warm and cosy whilst being something a bit special for a date/special occasion. I’d return tomorrow, and will now be a regular here!
A perennial favourite. Fifty Cheyne never fails to deliver. Extremely warm welcome and cozy first impression matched by very attentive and knowledgeable bar staff, the perfect Negroni pre-dinner and a grill menu that delivers one of the finest steaks in London, paired by a wine list that’s deep enough to cover all the bases, thoughtfully priced and not overdone. The reason I keep going back.
What a great find!! I thought the food was absolutely delicious and the staff very attentive, plus such a fantastic location. We will definitely be returning very soon.
Great place, lovely service, beautiful food, will be back asap, thank you
Beautiful romantic setting with an intimate feel. The service was good and the food absolutely delicious. I had the ox cheek which was melt in your mouth tender and the chocolate fondant for desert was heaven. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his vegetarian options too. We only had minor issue such as the waiter missing out top up of wine but aside from that we’d definitely recommend this place.
Delicious food, impeccable service ! Pricey but you can see why. Try the salmon tartare and the seafood risotto. Would go again
Value for money was questionable
Unbelievably over priced . Nearly £550 for 4 of us.
Ambiance lovely apart from a very noisy wedding party. Admittedly they were in a separate part of the restaurant but we could still hear them cheering and shouting. It spoilt the atmosphere for everyone else.
Absolutely fantastic. Even better than we remembered it. Steaks really are phenomenal. Thank you.
Food was great, ambiance great. Waiters haven't got a clue what's going on
Outstanding food and wine list! Nice position and very friendly waiter service, truly recommend!
Great place , good food , nice service
I had the veggie roast which was nice , however it didn’t come with a veggie gravy and instead came with a red tomato sauce which was disappointing.
Please provide a veggie gravy and you will then be on to a winner as the sides and roasties were delicious.
Delicious steaks, perfectly caramelised on the outside, perfect medium inside and arrived at the table still Hot !
This is one of the finest restaurants in ALL London! Food and service was exquisite. Was so good that we made another reservation two days later. We fully expect Michelin to come calling!!
Absolutely wonderful food and a very special environment! I enjoyed my 23rd birthday dinner here with my mom and it was such a treat! I cannot wait to return, especially since I am still thinking about the bean & artichoke starter salad.
Fantastic, would recommend
We were at your restaurant Friday evening and recommended 2 couples who came to you last night!
What a great job the owners have done with the new No. Fifty Cheyne.
Delicious food, excellent staff, and a perfectly designed room(s).
I will be back often...
Wonderful dinner. Delicious choice of food and wines. They prepared a very pretty Birthday plate and service was excellent. We will be back!
Food and service were incredible. Can’t want to return!
We loved this restaurant in its previous form, but it is even better after the renovation. The grilled fish was wonderful.
Food and service were both very good.
Great place, will be back
Excellent food and service in a cosy atmosphere. The Cote du Boeuf was outstanding and really well cooked. The fat chips a must try and impressed by how perfect they were in every bite. Hats off to Ian Smith and his team
great food great staff second time here and will return on future occasions the upstairs bar is lovely for a pre /post dinner drink
Exceptional decor and great homely vibe mixed with mouthwatering food
Outstanding kitchen with excellent grilled beef and lamb and incredible lard fried chips. However, service was too intrusive, almost as if they were pressed to accelerate the meal though the table had no time limitation. Desserts exceptional also. Wine list extensive but excessive prices made this less of a feature than it could have been. Buzzy atmosphere but not too noisy.
Loved it all! Food, service and quiet atmosphere. Perfect for a tête à tête lunch.
Interior is elegant and relaxing.
I will be back!
Amazing place highly recommended
Good food, good service, will be back soon
50 Cheyne has been refurbished recently and it’s wonderful. The staff are efficient and helpful. The food is superb.
We love the food and whole experience. The service is enthusiastic is somewhat lacking in experience sometimes. The young waiter was a bit like a puppy longing to please but not always listening to what you were asking for! Definitely be back again.
We chose this spot based on the beautiful decor. We loved having afternoon tea here as everything was delicious! The upstairs room was very relaxing, with beautiful ambiance, great view and gorgeous decor. The staff was so kind and made us feel so welcome. I would recommend this to anyone staying in London.
First time since the refurbishment, such a nice surprise, heard a lot about it but it was even better than expected, amazing staff, beautiful food, will be back!
Great atmosphere and attentive service. Food and service excellent. Recommend for special occasion
The cuisine was absolutely perfect—perhaps the best steak of my life. The ambiance was absolutely perfect. The service, however, was really rather disjointed, which detracted from the experience overall. We seemed to have been caught in the middle of a vendetta between two servers, one hapless and seemingly quite new, the other sort of supercilious and smug (my partner ordered a Chelsea Ramos and this server simply told him “no,” shook his head, and then brought him a cocktail list, effectively forcing him to order a different cocktail than the one he wants...ostensibly in a move to seem knowledgeable about our tastes, but I don’t know how he could possibly have been this confident in his knowledge of us since we’d never dined there before). The sense that these servers had an issue with each other was palpable, and intensified by multiple little whispered arguments and conversations (with discernibly audible commentary about details related to our table) between wait staff happening constantly in our periphery throughout our entire meal. My partner and I counted no fewer than ten different restaurant staff members who did one thing or another at our table over the course of our meal, all of whom were constantly asking us how things were going. The effect was very distracting and left my partner and I tired out by the end of the meal...we had come to share a romantic meal and enjoy a quiet, intimate conversation amongst ourselves, not to constantly be put in a position where we were asked to validate the waitstaff, assuring them every few minutes that everything was going well/discussing the minutiae of every small aspect of our meal. I genuinely hate having to be this critical, but the unending need to talk to one person or another about the experience we were currently having ruined what would have otherwise been an absolutely perfect evening out. We plan to come back, but we’re going to make a point of requesting not to be seated in the same section.
Our first visit to the refurbished restaurant. We knew it as a more casual brasserie.
Very elegant ,nicely decorated. Restaurant has been extended.
Spacious tables . Comfortable seating.
Not very big menu. Portions a bit on small side
Very friendly staff, good service.
Would recommend & go back
