Just went for the first time - might be my favorite restaurant in DC. Food was immaculate, prices weren't crazy-high, service was excellent, ambiance was great. I am already so excited to go back.
I recommend:
-The Wagyu: yes it's $25/oz (and a 2oz minimum order), but it's A5 Wagyu and I've never seen that quality of meat on a menu anywhere. There were four of us so we each got our own small piece good for around three bites. It was legendary. So worth it.
-The gyoza dumplings
-Firecracker roll (best sushi roll I've ever had)
-The chocolate cake with ice cream on it: Oh my goodness, this was so unreasonably delicious and the perfect end to the meal.
The service was great, it was my friend's birthday and the whole staff wrote her a card which I have never seen done before, and then brought out mochi ice cream with a candle! It was very cute and their happy hour specials are incredible, I'll definitely be coming back!

My husband and I spent our 5th anniversary here and it was the most spectacular dining experience we’ve had in a while. The staff was attentive and so incredibly kind. They anticipated our every need. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered at least 10 different things from the menu (not to mention, reordered a specific dish TWO ADDITIONAL TIMES - that’s how good it was) and with the happy hour prices, our bill was shockingly low.
For dessert, the servers brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle and two glasses of champagne, in addition to the Michu ice cream we’d ordered, for free as an anniversary gift. To top it off, everyone of the staff signed a card to us.
I was to taken aback by the experience at O-Ku, I’ve told everyone I know they HAVE TO dine here. My husband and I will definitely be going back soon.
Best sushi, in a beautiful and tranquil atmosphere, and the hospitality was like no other.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing in every way. The food was top notch. The patio heaters were blasting, keeping us nice and toasty during 30 degree weather.

Fire cracker roll this one was our favorite, we ordered it twice the little red eggs we spicy
Yuzo Fuego not as spicy of it described but it was still good
Surf & Turf roll this one was good meat was good combined w the shrimp
Harvest roll for being a vegetarian roll it was good

Shogun this was delicious, perfect blend of basil and gin
O-Ku martini (gin) this one was strong but smooth

Absolutely love the food at O-Ku! The sushi is fresh and delicious, really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Drinks are unique and worth a try, especially the habanero sugar one! The team is very attentive and friendly. Every time I celebrate, they’ve given me a handwritten note from the team which is a nice personal touch to the experience. One of the best sushi spots in DC!

The food and the drink selection from O Ku is amazing! The venue is beautiful. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was how long it took for the food to arrive. It was a solid 40 minutes from appetizers being cleared to our entrees being served.
