‘O ver comes from the Neapolitan dialect to mean:
We do our best to reflect this with the
Authentic, delicious and healthy Neapolitan street food
we freshly prepare every day
‘O ver uses the unique ingredient of
Pure Sea Water,
which is extracted from the purest areas of the Mediterranean.
Less sodium and more minerals makes the food lighter and easily digestible
All our Pizzas are made with Pure Sea Water, the best artisan ingredients from small Italian producers and finished with organic extra virgin olive oil from Sicily
We only serve Authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is very soft, elastic, tender and fragrant.
Every single dish is made with love and patience by our chefs,
in full respect of Neapolitan tradition
Went here as a last minute booking on a Saturday night for 21:45.
Initial thoughts are that as a venue this feels a little high street. Waiting staff however were very attentive and our initial round of drinks came very quickly.
My starter, squid and courgette was very good, squid tasted just right and not over cooked, but this is where the positive experience food wise finished.
Two of us received the wrong mains which had to be sent back. These dishes took a long time to come, at which point the rest of our group had almost finished eating. For my part the £18 Parpadelle was undercooked and the ragu purely made of salt. The portion also was diminutive. Extremely expensive for what it is.
The staff were very apologetic and helpful, taking items off our bill and so on, which was much appreciated. However; the overall experience is that this is just an overly expensive Italian restaurant in an area of London in which there’s a lot of other choices.
Brilliant food and excellent service from the waiters!
Lovely food, great service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We ate there twice because the food is excellent and the staff really nice.
Terrible and unpleasant service
Tasty, delicious food, served by friendly attentive staff...Excellent place to eat...The pizza base was perfectly cooked..
We had a nice meal but had to wait a long time for it (2 pizza's!) and the service was very slow.
Excellent Dinner for Good Price, will Comedy Ägäis
Excellent food and service but a bit pricey. Would definitely go back and recommend to a friend
Delicious food except quite a small portion of meat balls for the price.
Delightful staff and delicious cocktail!!
Fantastic high quality Italian . Food was some of the best Italian outside of Italy, snd the wine was of high quality. The staff were really lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. They have a fab bar as well. This place is becoming one of my favourite places to meet friends.
Nice pizzas, in a great location
Fabulous food, shared the bruschetta and calamari as starters and they were excellent. The service eas most attentive but never intrusive. Highly recommended!
A firm favourite of ours lunch at o’ver is always wonderful.
Great food, super team and lovely feel.
Delicious food, somewhat pricey, but good value for good food.
Pizza was delicious, and very relaxed atmosphere. Puddings looked amazing also!
The dining experience was very pleasant and our waiter very attentive. However, I’d say 3 meatballs and a half slice of bread at £16 is a little pricey. No pasta just 3 meatballs. Lovely and tasty though.
Pizza might be a better option
Upmarket, trendy pizza/pasta place, which carries it all off because of the quality of the food and ingredients, the service and the staff. On the hottest day of the year, the citrus spritz was a wonder.
Seating area a bit cramped. We were given a table in the middle near the bar area and the staff had to walk around us a lot. We were on a short visit so had pizza which was delicious but a bit chewy. Probably better to spend more time here and try the more adventurous offerings on the menu. Ordered far too much salad but not warned before it arrived.
Delicious food served by attentive (but not over-attentive) staff in a pleasant setting.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Can’t fault anything. Food was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be back
Great food -amazing flavours.
Wasn’t so keen on being sat downstairs so perhaps this should be made clearer when booking as it’s a very different space to the ground floor
I would most definitely go back
We have been to 'O Ver multiple times, and it never disappoints us. Excellent food (said by two "picky" Italians), friendly but very professional service, perfect atmosphere. Simply one of our favourites in London!
I'm a tough critic when it comes to Italian restaurants, hence the honest score. The place is an oasis in busy Borough High Street, clean lines and calm atmosphere. Great if you want to chat. But the food was a disappointment especially after the sea water hype. The pizza was soggy and average at best! The melanzane had way too much tomato sauce dumped on top and the salad was big but boring and overpriced! So a pizza, a starter, a green leaf salad, one glass of wine and a soft drink came in at £72!
On top of this the service was too pushy, constantly pushing for us to order drinks, and the timing is only 1.5 hours before you are politely asked to move on.
With the current competition around it's not worth the visit.
Open floorplan leading to noise from outside foot traffic. Main floor not ideal for an intimate candlelight dinner
Prices were a bit on the high side as well
Food was great; highly recommend the burratta and the Parma pizza
Not sure if they changed owner but quality overall has decreased
Would eat there every night if I could.. Delicious authentic food. Great friendly service
Everything was perfect!
Excellent food and service, would highly recommend.
Stylish restaurant with great food, staff and cocktails.
One of the most fantastic pizza in London.! A really good italian pizza: Pizza Napoletana!
Very friendly staff, great food.
The only problem was the noise : the next table was occupied by very noisy and loudly people which made our conversation difficult.
Wine list is over priced & pizzas are very expensive given that they have very little topping. We ended up paying almost £80 for a bottle of wine & 2 pizzas far too expensive for a fairly basic meal - not good value at all!
Lovely authentic restaurant in a great location. Very nice menu and choice of wines. Very friendly and helpful staff
Great service, lovey food!
I found the service very very very slow. It was a date occasion that I indicate on website when I booked. The waiter was really friendly and the atmosphere was good with lights on. We received two cold starters after 20mins ( 3 bruschette and octopus ). We ordered 1 pasta alla bolognese and meatballs. Pasta was not cooked well and the sauce too salty and not tasty. I m Italian and from Naples and my mum is a chef. I was expecting more from this restaurant and from the past positive reviews but definitely I don’t recommend to go to O Ver, very negative experience.
Ps. We asked for the bills and we waited for 15mins before to pay.
One of the best pizzas I've had in London. Service was fantastic and personal, great wine recommendation. Sat outside on a glorious sunny evening. Couldn't have been better.
Great dishes but the fish in particular was excellent.
Charming attentive staff without being obtrusive. Excellent, imaginative food. Great location for the Chocolate Factory. A super
