‘O ver comes from the Neapolitan dialect to mean:
We do our best to reflect this with the
Authentic, delicious and healthy Neapolitan street food
we freshly prepare every day
‘O ver uses the unique ingredient of
Pure Sea Water,
which is extracted from the purest areas of the Mediterranean.
Less sodium and more minerals makes the food lighter and easily digestible
All our Pizzas are made with Pure Sea Water, the best artisan ingredients from small Italian producers and finished with organic extra virgin olive oil from Sicily
We only serve Authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is very soft, elastic, tender and fragrant.
Every single dish is made with love and patience by our chefs,
in full respect of Neapolitan tradition
It was lovely! It was just quite pricey i thought for the pizza and pastas which were over £15 on average. But it was my second time here and delicious as always
has to be one of the best pizza's in the world.
Hadn't been in the basement drinks are before. Great dark ambience.
The main restaurant suffers as od most restaurants with very poor acoustics. Needs some absorptive treatment.
This place never fails to disappoint. For the third year running we celebrated my sons birthday here. Fantastic pizza, prosecco, wine and service.
Luke warm pasta which we felt was expensive for what we had. We didn’t say anything as we had threaten reservations and could not afford the time.
Great to find an excellent restaurant in Southwark Street
The staff here are very helpful and accommodating although I thought that the tables could be positioned more effectively. Some areas were very bunched and, had we not moved, we would have been too close to our neighbours.
The pizzas we had were delicious although they went from hot to warm to cold very quickly once we had them before us - and believe me when I say this was not due to tardy or lack-lustre eating! This is a perpetual problem in every pizza restaurant I've visited and I'm not sure what the answer is. Heat the plates? Bring two smaller pizzas in relays (which would be a great solution).
The restaurant is appealing, bright, and modern with helpful staff and good quality table ware- a real pulse in my view- and it's ideally situated just off the busiest part of Borough Market opposite the Menier chocolate factory.
Small venue with great staff and fabulous food. Will definitely be returning.
I went with my mum to eat dinner here. The pizza is great, it’s a nice venue and it’s not too cramped- particularly downstairs.
The service was great during the meal and the staff were friendly and courteous however we had to wait 10 minutes after our booking time to sit down. They did offer us another seat during our wait period however it was right next to the main entrance.
Great food. Very tasty. Service spot on. Fair value for money.
Wonderful food, friendly and efficient service and a great location. We much enjoyed the pizzas and Milanese street food starter.
Very hot downstairs in the booth but fixed when fan put on. Service and food are fabulous. One of my favourite places
An ok pizza place, thay seems to have fallen for it's own hype. Got a call and hour before my booking telling me my table (on a tuesday might in september) was only available for an hour and a half, when I suggested I would therefore cancel, I was given a whole extra hour on my table. Arrived to a pretty much empty restaurant and offered a table crammed in the corner or opposite a column as the only options. Had to push again to get an acceptable tablle for 2! Food was ok but same quality than any Italian trattoria in any high street. And after being asked to order by literally all the waiters in the place was then pretty much abandoned to the point of considering to 'fake leave' to get attention to pay the bill! £50 each for 2 courses a g&t and a glass of wine.....most of the staff friendly when you get served but not really worth it.
Restaurant didn’t make us feel welcome and we had to rush our order as the kitchen was closing. Disappointing.
The service at over gets better and better every time I visit it has now become my favourite Italian Restaurant. The gnocchi is beautiful
O ver had a very good wine list and the pizzas looked good. I had the burratta which was served fridge cold with 1 basil leaf. My main was a lukewarm melanzane parmigiana . I requested a small side salad (reiterated twice) and got a huge bowl of green leaves.
My friend had a huge starter even though she checked twice with the waiter and end up with a huge focciaca. Her steak was ok. We paid over £70 for a pretty average meal.
It would be ok for a slice of pizza and a glass or two of wine. Nothing more.
A very warm and friendly staff greet you at the door
Booking was easy and the table was ready for us as we arrived
Quality of the food was excellent and that went for all of us on our booking of four as we all choose a different starter and main course
The staff are very attentive but not pushy
Will happily return
So happy to have discovered this restaurant, can’t fault a single thing !!!!
As always food and service were perfect
Fantastic authentic Italian food, and lovely staff.
Incredible food with attentive and warm service
Visited at the weekend and just LOVED this little restaurant. The food was just incredible, the pizza was tasty, the burrata perfectly milky and the tiramisu home made, silky smooth and not frozen! The wine was reasonable and good, but the cocktails were just astounding - I love a margarita and this was one of, if not THE best I have ever had. The staff were friendly, attentive and warm and I can not wait to go back
Best italian restaurant in London!
The food is excellent and the service very good, the restaurant location works well being far enough away from borough market to avoid the tourists but close enough to avoid a lengthy walk. The place is modest in design but nicely done but go here for really authentic Italian food.
We went for my mother's birthday and was truly looked after by all. Thanks for such a perfect evening, the food was outstanding
This place has great food, great service. Highly recommended.
Waiter was amazing, super helpful and knew his spirits. Loved the willingness to help my fiancé get a fantastic drink off the menu, and even had the bar tender remake it because it was not up to his standards prior to presenting it to us. Highly recommend!
So good that we went back the next night. Great service, great food and a great atmosphere- perfect. Loved it...pizza and pasta awesome but the staff really make this place
Perfect as always! Authentic Neopolitan pizza. Great sea bass.
We had been before and enjoyed the experience and food. This time we found the menu very limited unless you wanted pasta or pizza. The wine prices are also above average. We told the first waiter we had to leave at 7.50 as we were going to a show at the Chocolate Factory.
The staff were personable and we ordered. She suggested we need 2 portions of the starter of zucchini and calamari for 4 to share.
Half an hour later another waiter arrived to tell us that the tills weren’t connecting with the kitchen and that the kitchen had not received the orders, but they would expedite it. When the starter arrived it was a bit greasy and one portion would have been fine.
The main courses were ok, but the plates cold as was the parmigana. As time was getting tight we ordered coffee, but it had not arrived when we had to leave.
We told the manager that the service was disjointed and disappointing and after giving lots of explanations kindly reduced our bill.
Went here as a last minute booking on a Saturday night for 21:45.
Initial thoughts are that as a venue this feels a little high street. Waiting staff however were very attentive and our initial round of drinks came very quickly.
My starter, squid and courgette was very good, squid tasted just right and not over cooked, but this is where the positive experience food wise finished.
Two of us received the wrong mains which had to be sent back. These dishes took a long time to come, at which point the rest of our group had almost finished eating. For my part the £18 Parpadelle was undercooked and the ragu purely made of salt. The portion also was diminutive. Extremely expensive for what it is.
The staff were very apologetic and helpful, taking items off our bill and so on, which was much appreciated. However; the overall experience is that this is just an overly expensive Italian restaurant in an area of London in which there’s a lot of other choices.
Brilliant food and excellent service from the waiters!
Lovely food, great service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Lovely interior, friendly staff and delicious Pizza, plenty of vegetarian options on the menu! :)
We ate there twice because the food is excellent and the staff really nice.
Terrible and unpleasant service
Tasty, delicious food, served by friendly attentive staff...Excellent place to eat...The pizza base was perfectly cooked..
We had a nice meal but had to wait a long time for it (2 pizza's!) and the service was very slow.
Excellent Dinner for Good Price, will Comedy Ägäis
Excellent food and service but a bit pricey. Would definitely go back and recommend to a friend
Delicious food except quite a small portion of meat balls for the price.
Delightful staff and delicious cocktail!!
