As always a lovely place for a leisurely lunch - happy to recommend
Very charming and elegant. We ate outside on the terrace which was wonderful. Sat at a spotless white linen clad table. Excellent food, and very helpful and polite service. And the prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended.
Not quite as good this time as previous. The 17.30 earliest booking makes attending the Royal Albert Hall too much of a fraught rush. 17.00 would give a more relaxed meal.
Once again, Ognisko delivers a unique Polish experience. Vodka, food, friendly service. Definitely highly recommended.
Excellent as always! The duck was beautifully succulent and the cold summer soup was wonderful and refreshing. I can’t wait to return.
Other than the fact that Bigos should be on the menu permanently, Ognisko is generally faultless.
Part of its joy is that all the staff are beautifully dressed, elegant and stylish, and act more like a hostess welcoming you onto their home than waiting staff just there to do a job. They help make the whole experience special and rather wonderful. Thank you.
Excellent as always! I’ve been to this place many times and they never let me down!
Big portions. Very professional staff. Amazing food. Great value for money in a historical venue. Highly recommended.
An excellent lunch. Authentic Polish food and good service.
Great ambience, very good food but services need to improve. Restaurants at your level should have a dedicated waiter for the table and the waiter should show interest in the acceptance of the food.
Impeccable service and the food was very good. Highly recommend
Took my polish girlfriend here for her 30th birthday. We had a really great time. Lovely setting, we sat outside on the terrace but the restaurant inside also looked beautiful, the food was great, service excellent and the servers friendly and smiling, I’d definitely come again.
love it here, first time on terrace and dog friendly
A delicious set menu of beetroot soup and chicken Kiev. A lovely house white which is reasonably priced. During the summer, there is a beautiful terrace to dine outside on.
I love going to Ognisko. The food is always fantastic and interesting (as are the lovely flavoured vodkas), and the setting is beautiful. The terrace is delightful on a hot summer's evening.
Lovely experience but I found my salad starter and duck slightly sugary.
Apart from that all five stars. Our waitress was amazing, tall blonde lady with short hair.
I’ve been a few times with family and friends over the years and the food and staff are always top class.
I’ve been to Ognisko in many occasions and have to say this place become one of my favourites. I’m polish and they always deliver. It’s an authentic food in fantastic surroundings.
Service is always spot on. Great to impress. Fab cocktails too.
Bar area is nice and ambience in the restaurant was nice. Went to celebrate my wife's name day and we were let down terribly by lack of service. Waiting staff thin on the ground and not attentive or even assigned to particular tables it seemed. Sometimes no staff to even be seen. Asked for and was given a drinks menu but no one then came to take the drink order. By the end of the meal still no one had turned up to do so. Wife's main course was served and was cold. Half an hour wait for dessert. Painful. Restaurant was only half full.
The dinner and ambience was wonderful. This was my 2nd or 3rd time dining there and it was every bit as good as I remembered!
I went to Ognisko expecting at least some Polish food, as one would given it’s name and reputation as something of a centre promoting Polish culture. Unfortunately found very little that was in fact Polish and what there was was anything but. Quite honestly a good, or even pretty average, Polish cook would not present this kind of fare to their guests. Even in the times of greatest austerity I regret to say. The dishes were like something you would probably expect to find in a third rate establishment located in a down-at-hill insalubrious location. But then the prices charged would match that; here the final bill was pretty high. What we had was dry, over cooked, tasteless unimaginatively presented. It even looked unappetising. What a waste of an otherwise lovely location and opportunity to present interesting, varied food which Polish cuisine is so rich in.
Please have a good look at what you are doing with it and reform and reframe the existing format.
Will not be visiting again! Expensive waste of time!
This is a lovely dining room, with a terrace overlooking the garden, a rare find in South Kensington. The food is good and the service professional and attentive. I have eaten here on several occasions and will return.
did not meet my expectations in terms of food quality, very slow service
Exellent meal, loads of food, great value for money, gorgeous restaurant, great team of staff.
Excellent food and service as ever, one of my favourite Londion restaurants
For us Ognisko never fails to deliver! The staff are smart, attentive and friendly, the food is an imaginative take on Polish cuisine served in generous portions, the prices within reason, the range of vodkas staggering - and most of all what a fantastic room to have your supper in! Let alone the history. If you need to take out of town guests for a London treat without bankruptcy - this is a (or the) place to go!
I honestly believe this restaurant has among the very best service in London. London has many wonderful things but the service isn't one of them. This has become a regular go-to. Food is absolutely delicious. and the icy little vodka shots - it would be a night at Ognisko without them.
Excellent food and service taste of my childhood really nice ambiance will certainly return
Ambience, cocktails, starter and deserts were delicious just let down by the Duck which was dry and overcooked, but hey still a very nice time and will give it a go sometimes. Still very much worth a visit. Service was very attentive and on point.
Quite discreet but easy to find
Impressive building with grand rooms
Warm, professional welcome
Very efficient service

Stunning food - delicious starters, main courses and dessert!
Amongst the best in London
Reasonable price, including service charge
Superb value for money
Beautiful locale, superb Polish cuisine. I go back every time I'm in London.
This is a friendly and somewhat different experience to many restaurants. All positive with a good and well constructed menu giving plenty of choice and a great selection of vodkas and wines. I have been many times and am happy to recommend it to others
The ambiance and service was at the right level, and allowed my guests to all feel very much at home with the right amount of attention. The meal was a real success.
A super restaurant to go to after visiting the museums!
We had our wedding reception here 20 years ago and wanted to come back. Of course we wanted to love it. But actually we more than loved it the food was brilliant. Absolutely delicious, good sized portions and a really interesting menu with plenty of choices. The staff were amazing, friendly helpful and attentive. The dining room is really attractive and I cannot wait to come back and try the outdoor terrace.
I can’t recommend it enough!
This restaurant is an absolute joy. The Polish food, which we are big fans of, was authentic but much better than just authentic. Tasty, sharp, juicy and hearty. A really lovely experience.
Angieszka or Angelika (I don't remember - blond girl) was spectacular! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special.
Did struggle to find the restaurant but when we did it was an amazing experience. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left
This is not only an ideal venue before attending an event at the Albert Hall, the food was good and good value. We would certainly eat there again before going to the Albert Hall.
Lovely meal and superb service so we were happy, in good time for Royal Albert Hall and well fed!
