fab restaurant, definitely going back, food is amazing
Outstanding as always. Food always incredible, service always amazing. Best restaurant in Dublin.
Overall was disappointed with our Sunday lunch.
Thought the price was expensive for what we ate.
We weren’t advised what the fish of the day was , we had to chase the waitress for the water that we ordered.Suggest that fresh napkins should be given after someone has the chicken wings, we - and the table next to us had to ask for them.
My food was quite bland , I had the cauliflower/ cheese starter and and pasta
Roast beef was expensive
Desserts were good
Had been looking forward to the restaurant but won’t be back
We had a very nice time. Our only complaint would be the main course. We all had the roast beef which for all of us was tough and not good. We should have complained when our plates were being removed but neither couple wanted to embarass the other. We did mention it when settling the bill. It did not put us off and we would visit again
I always feel confident about bringing friends to Old Street and this time was no different.
The service, food and overall atmosphere is superb.
It’s a definite treat to go there for Sunday lunch and have the roast beef with the delicious Yorkshire puds.
Also I love the new mini indulgent desserts, great idea as you can have a treat without feeling too guilty.
Food and service were excellent. Gorgeous place. All things COVID adhered to.
Haven’t been in a while. Normally it’s very good. Just thought a few things weren’t up to the standards previously set. I was irked with the “because of CoVid restrictions we can’t give out tap water”. Since when can a family not have tap water to share and how does this apply to CoVid. For some reason it was okay to order cordial for the kids but not tap water. The alternative was Aqua Panna and San Pelegrino at €9 for the pleasure. Previously I believe hey offered their own filtered still and sparkling water. The free children’s meals with the adult meal on a Sunday is a great incentive for a family to go. I was disappointed with my roast beef and Yorkshire pudding as was my wife with her Sea Bass. Normally it’s very good so maybe just an off day.
Gorgeous birthday dinner - would highly recommend. Food was superb!!
Main course was very nice but the starter and desert really let everything down. If I was going back I'd only get a main.
Old St. is a decent restaurant serving lovely food but the service standard needs improvement, especially at the price.
The kids menu is brilliant, good variety of offerings for starter and mains to suit the pickiest to the most voracious of kids, and very good value.
The adults menu is also really appealing and the food is well prepared, presented and delicious.
Unfortunately, whilst the Staff are friendly and helpful, many of them don't seem to know or understand their jobs properly. For example, our delph was cleared but all the dirty cutlery was left and not taken away until after our dessert arrived.
Adding white table cloths would also elevate the experience, as if you're downstairs it can feel a bit like you're just eating in the pub.
Whilst the food is very good, and judged on it's own would justify Old Street's prices, when considered with the poor standard of floor staff training, it translates to a somewhat underwhelming experience in the context of where the restaurant seems to be pitching itself.
A very nice evening ruined by the fact that we where rushed off our table. So rushed that my wife and mother in law had to cancel their coffee order. Despite waiting and hour for our first course we where then Informed that we had to be off the table by a certain time, we where informed of that as we where ordering the coffees, this was not told to use at the start. When we ask why the table opposite was not being asked to move despite arriving before us and we where hilariously told that was because there table was for 5 and they needed a table for 4. Obviously the other table knew someone working in the restaurant as there where long finished thier meal and where just ordering drinks. Even though we had a lovely dinner we couldn’t justify going back again after the treatment we received. We paid a premium and we expected to be treated a lot better. Sickened by the whole episode.
We had a lovely evening. The food was amazing and the staff were very polite. Would highly recommend.
We recently had our second visit to Old Street and once again have nothing but good things to say about everything. From the moment we arrived we felt we looked after by the very courteous and professional staff . The food was super and such great value. We will definitely be back soon .
Thank you to everyone in Old Street .
Just perfect from.start to finish. The staff are all very relaxed and in control...which was reassuring. Beautiful cocktails and food :)
Food was amazing. Waiting staff are very well trained in Covid awareness and in menu delivery. Will be back soon to try more cocktails
Great atmosphere, yummy food and baby friendly! 😊
Starter fab- Tomahawk steak shared was a little too grisly for me but was full of flavour. Did have to ask for salt twice and they missed a request for 2nd glass of wine. Very loud guest beside us in major celeb mode. Starter of prawns fab and cute little taster desserts brill idea. P
Portions quite small and chips and onion rings very greasy!!!
Amazing service and even better food, was delicious I will definitely be back again
Really lovely experience the waitress and waiter were very attentive! Also all were masked and place spotless had arrived at 4.45 and they were disenfecting and were not open till 5!
The food was delicious set menu early bird great value too!!
Overall great evening well done old street💕
As always, a great atmosphere with brilliant service. A great choice of drinks. Superb freshly cooked food with seasonal ingredients, like hake with nettles and a flavoursome sauce. A short but varied menu with something for everyone, the crab arancini to start were especially good. We really liked the mini desserts, a lovely way to finish off a meal. A fabulous place for a treat as it is not cheap, but in terms of food and surroundings it is really good value.
Great spot . Highly recommend the steak..beautiful
There was not a single thing we could fault. The service was excellent, food was delicious and cocktails were expertly made! I had mussels and tagliatelle with king prawns, they were so fresh and tasty. The tables were far apart and we felt very safe even during this Covid 19 time. We did not feel rushed and very much enjoyed our evening. Thank you!
Everything was lovely my only complaint is to have water your must €4.50 for still water .
Lovely menu options. desserts are mini and you can choose 2 per person on the neighbourhood menu- ideal!
Date night with my lady, gorgeous place, lovely selection of wines, delicious starters and could not recommend the Halibut dish any more. Fish perfectly cooked, veg and garnish also perfectly cooked, sauce was amazing and still had space for their delicious desserts. The service was also exceptional. 10/10 experience. Thank you
We had a starter main and dessert and every dish was perfect, amazing flavours and well presented! Was a little disappointed in the cocktails, flavours weren't great, would be nice to have some old fashion cocktails on the list too.
The guy that served us honestly was the best waiter I have ever experienced in a restaurant! Food and ambience was perfect and can’t wait to go back soon
Fabulous evening- would reccommend the Tomahawk steak.
Super spot we will be back more and more now that we have moved to the area
We had a lovely experience ! The food was very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant:)
Fab food, beautiful place & staff lovely. Looking forward to going back.
Enjoyed meal one diner didnt all the meal didn’t complain but when the bill cane out they had taken this meal off! Staff brilliant and all well distanced and polite
Fabulous service, great food, felt safe from covid with good table separation, open doors and face covering for staff. It is not silly expensive but it is certainly not a value place to go. It was a special occasion for us and we very much enjoyed it.
We really enjoyed our meal in old street, both food and service where outstanding. They have also handled the covid restrictions really well we felt safe without feeling like we couldn't relax. Can't wait to go back.
Delicious food - highly recommend the halibut! Lovely, friendly staff. Good social distancing in place. Lovely “mini desserts “ to chose from and a great selection of drinks and cocktails.
arrived to a very warm welcome, our table was in the bar area which i really like as
you can watch whats going on in other parts of the restaurant. Service was warm friendly food was amazing and delivered at a good pace. felt very safe with staff wearing masks and tables cleaned down well using single use menus. will be back again soon. all the best
Fantastic cocktails , food, setting & service -expensive, but well worth it for what was a special & memorable occasion. Will definitely be back.
Went on thursday hoping to availof 35 set menu as advertised on their website- was told it was over at 6.30 but their website says up to 10 when I said this no one checked it out for me and we were left with quite a hefty bill!
Everything was delicious and service was great. Found it a bit hot on the mezzanine even though it wasn’t full so would recommend air co or a fan.
