Overall good experience. Menu a bit limited, but good. Good food, service. A little noisy.
Everything about the place was wonderful; from the food, to the staff and especially the beers they have to offer. The average price range for the food is $15 to $25, so definitely not a place I can frequent as often as I'd like. But, hey. It's a place I would be willing to save up for again.
Fun place for happy hour and great bar food. Super polite and nice staff!!!
Great gathering venue! Space was comfortable and low noise level.
As always, a great time was had by all! Great service, great food and most importantly, great beer!
Great night. Our server Valerie was on it! We came to a sports bar to eat and watch a game. Our expectation for food was pretty low. We had been here about six months ago and the food was typical fair bar food. Tonight so much better. We tried the cauliflower steak a new item, great taste. A truly great night.
Excellent salmon and sides nice portion and good service
Went for a happy hour with co-workers. Tried calling to make a reservation for 8, but calls didn't get answered, so I made a reservation for 6 (the maximum) on OpenTable. When I got to the restaurant, they were exceptionally accommodating, and fit one, then a second extra table as more co-workers than we expected showed up, and maintained separate checks for everyone. Staff was super friendly the whole time. I was really pleased with the quality of the service here. Great variety and number of beers on tap.
Our server Bradley was Outstanding!
Always a fun place to go with a group and to watch a game. Great beer selections.
The food is great, and the service is always excellent.
We ordered burgers and we thought it was a safe order, but the burger was dry and over cooked. We’re probably not gonna visit there anymore.....
Treated my work team to a holiday lunch. Service was excellent by Alexandria, attentive but not too much so. Lunch salads were large and fresh ingredients. Burgers and sliders were prepared as ordered and tasty. My salmon was cooked to perfection and appreciated the gluten-free option.
Always fun when Ty is our server! Food is always good as well.
Service was great and for the first time I got a hamburger (usually get fish tacos or veggie burger) and it was DELICIOUS!!! and I love the blackberry pear cider. Yummmmm!! Can't wait to go back!
The hostess sat us very quickly. Our server was very attentive and to all. The manager is very personable. All have good smiles!
I've been to Old Town numerous times and never had an experience like this.
First, we had a dinner reservation for a party of four. Not a bar reservation. Yet, we were seated at a high-top table right behind the bar, with TVs dominating our field of view. How do you have a dinner conversation at this table?
Second, I've been here during sporting events before, but the TV volume made conversations (by the bar) difficult. It had the ambiance and echo of being in a stadium or arena. Unusual given my previous experience.
Third, we requested a new table away from the bar. Either intentionally or not, we were seated at a high-top table (again, we had dinner plans - I don't usually sit bar height for dinner)...in the dark. Literally. The bulbs or wiring was bad in the overhead lighting above where we were seated. The hostess said at least we wouldn't have the glare of the TVs. Yes, we're in our 40's, but the menus were unreadable without pulling out our phones.
The food was good. We got The Works appetizer for the four of us then the couples split appetizers for dinner (very good). Finally, the dessert was great.
Clearly the beer selection is a big draw for this place. Unfortunately, a specific beer on the wall (one of my favorites) was kicked, but remained on the wall and I was notified after (what seemed like) a long time after ordering. The female members of our party felt ignored by our waitress (ignored twice at drink orders).
We first came to Old Town on the second night of soft-opening a couple of years ago and had been back at least 8 times since (and it's about a 40 min drive from our house), enjoying each visit, but this one. There are too many other choices and we will likely not return.
Good Beer Garden atmosphere. Bobby, our waiter, was unobtrusive but always there when we were thirsty.
To say this place is overpriced would be going very easy on them. There are other places around this that are a better value for your money and similar service and food offerings. Go to Ted's Bulletin right next door for better food, and Coastal Flats for a better bar. The Pour House shamelessly charges way too much for cocktails and doesn't list their prices so buyer beware, you will get gouged here and the food is nothing special. I think this place is struggling to be relevant at the Downtown Crown and it should be gone in the next year, if it were up to me, it would be gone now.
I’ve been to Pour house several times. This was first time I had a bad service. The place was empty. I ordered iced tea but got a warm tea with no ice. Took awhile to find our server to order a glass of ice. My shrimp(shrimp taco) was not fully cooked, was not opaque like my friend’s taco.
loud with all of the tvs playing sports, but food was great. the five of us in our party had a cross-section of food and everyone agreed it was very good.
This place would be so much better with decent service. It has all these great tvs but no sound playing for any of the sports games. It does not make sense - do you want to be a sports bar or a night club? pick one
The been list never changes except for a few limited rotationals on a list that they always seem to be out of. The rest is mass produced fake "craft" beer.
One meal was incorrect, and didn't re-arrive until after the others finished dining. No apology, something quick to eat or drink while waiting, and didn't seem to expedite the replacement. Meal was ok. Beer selection good, but priced higher than others in area. I think it falls into the area of I'd go if a bunch of friends were going, but wouldn't plan a meal there again.
This place offers a good ambience. Menu is good as far as a sports bar goes. Variety of craft beer selection. The waiter was excellent. However the manager who was controlling the programming of sport games was not cooperative to put the local sports team's live game (Washington Wizards vs Toronto Raptor) on the large screen. I was pretty shocked that a college football game from Mississippi was on all different screens. After 20 minutes of waiting, he eventually managed to stream the game Wizards game on two of the small tv screens in the middle. I explained to him if he could at least offer one of the large screens to stream the local live game which is pretty much expected from a local sports bar. ( so that we can hear the game as well) He refused. For that reason, I rated the place lower than expected.
Seated right away (thanks Open Table!). Service was very prompt and attentive throughout the evening. Food choices were great, food itself was delicious and well-timed. Awesome beer selections! Lots of TVs for sports. Biggest complaint was the noise -- on a busy Friday evening, the place was packed and we had to raise our voices to be heard.
Great food and decor. Service was a little slow but it was a Saturday night during prime time dinner and college football playing on the tvs. They were packed in pretty tight inside. They do have outside seating as well if you are looking for a more quite and you can still see tvs playing the games. If you are looking for craft beers they have have an ample amount but if looking for standard cheap bar beer look elsewhere.
Have fun every time we visit. Service is always excellent, food is consistently good, and lots of sports to watch. And, cannot forget the beer choices. Something for everyone.
Sat outside, very comfortable. Just needs more lighting
This is by far my favorite sports bar. I would be there every Saturday and Sunday for football if I could. The food is great. But, the beer selection is what really tops it all off.
Noise level worse than usual resulting from an impromptu additional person at the party next to us. Unfortunately the gentleman was very LOUD resulting in a headache for me trying to focus on my friends' conversation. Definitely not somewhere I would come for a romantic date or to have quiet conversation.
We made a reservation but when we arrived they did not have a table for us. In addition when we asked if the beer was served in a pint glass he said yes, when really each beer arrived in a 10oz sniffer. The server then told us that was 16oz!!!???
The food was excellent as always. Sat in one of the horseshoe booths for the first time--Benches were terrible and need replacing.
UNHAPPY - 16.00 Burgers? WTF they are okay not that special, not waygu beef and overpriced, cmon man! Also the happy hour selection of beer is really weak. Smoked chicken wings are excellent. I thiink they were really understaffed at the bar area, had to flag down my bartender waiter for EVERYTHING, refills on water, nice but too busy, should have had 1-2 more wait staff on that bar.
We were yelling a bit trying to hear each other. Otherwise everyone enjoyed themselves.
Tooooooo loud. But great food & staff! Can’t hear the servers. They can’t hear me!!
We had a great time sitting outside. Our waitress was very accommodating when part of our party couldn’t make it. She was also very attentive to our food and drink needs. The menu has enough variety that everyone can find something they like to eat.
Waitress discouraged the cocktail someone in our party wanted, killing the mood, so none were ordered. Hamburger appears to be from a frozen patty (any brew pub should be better than that; should be freshly hand-formed from grass-fed beef), they forgot the bacon for the burger, and then never delivered it after informed of the mistake. Burger had taste of chili powder; the cook apparently wasn’t careful with utensils. Fish tacos were struggling at best. Wings were decent, and filet sliders were good. Overall, pretty weak performance.
The waiter was great and the outside seating was nice.
It was a great night out so crowded. I would have given a 4 rating since drinks and food were good. 3 rating given since service was slow due to the busy section. We will definitely go again and we appreciate that we were able to bring our dog.
Less than stellar, the staff was not very attentive , it wasn’t super busy and it took 40 minutes for 3 burgers and a flat bread . I am not sure why they felt the need to crank up the music at 7:45 to the level that made it a struggle to hear someone across the table. Doubtful I will go back for food
