    Celebrated my birthday here with my family and had an amazing time! Everything we ordered was a hit, and our server was really friendly and great and giving recommendations on portion sizing for our group! Highly highly recommend!

    156 opened at a new location near Queens Street and Dufferin Street, replacing the Yorkville location. It is a Michelin recommended Korean restaurant. We ordered chicken wings, 6oz waygu skirt steak, scallop pasta and finish off with dessert. The deep fry chicken wings filled with sticky rice is a very nice appetizer to start with. It has truffle sauce on top which makes the wings not dry at all. The skirt steak is grill to medium rare. Since the waitress didn't ask how we like the steak to be grill, I assume medium rare is the standard, the steak quality is good and wrap with lettuce and spicy salad, it has a WOW factor. The scallop pasta is not my favorite dish because I personally do not like rice cake. It said pasta but actually it is Korean rice cake. The scallop is fresh though. We would like to come back for more steak and try out the potato pancake.

    We had such a great experience at 156! We tried the late-night menu and everything was delicious. The beef tartare was one of my favourites, the steaks were cooked beautifully, and the truffle chicken wings were so flavourful. We were celebrating a birthday, and the team made the night feel extra special with a handwritten birthday card, which was such a thoughtful touch. 🥹 The service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt very welcoming. For $65 per person, the late-night menu was a great way to try several dishes family-style. Definitely recommend and would love to come back! ❤️

    The location is good and there was a decent amount of public parking close-by. I didn't see a separate accessible entrance, so it's a "good to know" thing depending on the type of, or whether you use mobility aids. The interior is chic and minimal, but also warm, with an open kitchen. The vibes are good, the service was great, and the food was excellent. The dishes all seemed very intentional and well considered - so delicious. Great experience, highly recommend. The price point is upscale and worth it - Did not disappoint.

    It was absolutely delightful experience on our anniversary! Particularly We loved the letter from the team Food and services, all aspects of the restaurant was amazing. I would definitely visit this place again to try other dishes as well

    Came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. I reached out to the restaurant directly on OT to ask if I would be able to drop off a cake on the day before our reservation, outside of their regular business hours, to which they gladly accepted. They were very helpful and easy to communicate with and made the whole process and birthday cake surprise flawless. There was a birthday greeting card (signed by the team) already on the table when we arrived, which was a very nice gesture. Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic. Service was very prompt and detailed. Coursing was managed well as it left little to no gaps in our dinner experience; this is often an area of service where a lot of places aren’t particularly strong at, but it speaks to the ability of the team as a whole. Our entire dinner from start to finish progressed at a very nice pace and everything was seamless. I was impressed from my last visit when 156 was still in Yorkville, and I’ve been recommending it to people since. My high expectations for this visit were easily surpassed and I am very glad that I came back. Safe to say that I will definitely be back as this is now one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
