    Quiet in restaurant. Ordered food from the festive market menu. Good choice on menu. Service was a bit slow which was surprising as it was quiet. Food was excellent and served nice and hot. The menu was good value for money considering it is a 5 star hotel!

    Our meal was lovely overall. The food itself was very good. The service was slow and we had to ask for service twice, despite having informed that we were going to the theatre at 7pm when booking and again during the meal. Otherwise it was a good overall experience and we would book again.

    Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea served by the most delightful Helen. Savoury plates were very nice with the exception of the roast beef sandwich fingers which were soggy. Pastry chef/chefs must be applauded. The sweet cake and scone plates were AMAZING and we don't have particularly sweet palates. The nicest we've ever had anywhere, 5 star hotels, restaurants and cruises do not come near. Thank you and well done.

    We simply love sipping cocktails or having some simple bites in the bar come lounge area. It's almost like your own private club. Service was smashing with just the right amount of chat and excellent service. Hint: book one of the 4 window tables that look over the square and Lothian Road if you plan to eat but if cocktails is your gig then book the lounge seats and relax. Very highly recommended.

    Booked a table for 2.15. For endless lunch only to find out they stop serving at 3.15. So very little time would have appreciated to be informed of this. The staff did appreciate our concerns and dealt with them in a prompt manner. Thin last book shout be at the latest 2.00pm.

    I have been to One Square Bar and Brasserie many times before. As always, the food, service and staff were all excellent. The leek and potato soup was delicious, however, I couldn't taste the crab in my macaroni cheese and also the mashed potato wasn't particularly hot. We were very pleased indeed to receive the regular customer discount. This was greatly appreciated as the cost of living is so high at the moment. I would definitely come back again and hope to return to sample the festive menu in your restaurant in December. Thanks very much again.

    Firstly. I meant to book the restsurant and by mistake. I booked the bar. However the waitress at the bar was kind enough to get us a table in the restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed as we felt that we were stuck on the end like the poor relation while there were afternoonteas going on. Strange at lunch time I thought. Anyway we wanted a white tablecloth and a set table, instead it was a bare table, which felt more like a canteen. The food however was amazing ! I could not fault the food. The service was good. But there was no ambiance ! Our meal came to over £100, which was not a problem but I think when you are spending that kind of money, it shouldn't have been a problem to put a tablecloth on the table. My sister did say that's what she wanted. So dissapointing.

    Ordered chicken Caesar salad and after a long wait came without chicken. Thought they would take plates away and return with complete meal but said carry on and they would bring the chicken which took another 20 mins. Disappointing

    Beautiful setting marred by Christmas photoshoot in dining area whilst diners were eating Poor show by Sheraton staff, did not inform us there was a photoshoot in main dining area, managers etc walking past with various Christmas props, highly unprofessional

    We had a very nice meal, service was good, and the 3-hours free parking was a bonus (you need to spend £30 in the restaurant to qualify for the free parking). The only slight disappointment is there is a temporary marquee in the square that the restaurant overlooks (trading as the "cocktail village") which was playing music loud enough to be intrusive. This is not the Sheraton's fault but it must be incredibly frustrating for them. Makes you wonder why the council would allow this when the Sheraton brings a lot of important tourism to Edinburgh...

    We had to sit in the bar, previously we Tesco the lounge, the bar is very noisy and the AC was much too cold Our server was excellent and did have AC adjusted but still too cold. My steak sandwich had 4 small strips on the large ciabatta it used to be a slice of steak. Our table had been occupied by a group who had obviously ignored reserved sign and didn’t appear to care fortunately we were found another table. Overall a very average experience apart from our server who was lovely.

    We enjoyed a lovely meal last night from the Market Menu. Food was delicious, staff were all friendly and helpful. The only gripe (and its not something that One Square could control) was the cocktail week that was happening outside, the music was so loud it took away from the lovely atmosphere within the brasserie.

    Our family had a lovely ambient evening on the 2nd October in One Square. The staff were very accommodating and we really liked the opulent surroundings, welcoming lights, warm temperature with delicious food. We will certainly go back in the future. Great value!

    It felt like we were there during a staff handover, and what started out well became less and less satisfying. The staff were pleasant but a bit absent at times. The absence of piped music was appreciated.

    There was a surprising amount of choice among the starters and desserts, and the range of vegetables with the carvery was impressive (and cooked perfectly, not over-cooked). Also an excellent array of sauces.

    Review for the Sunday Lunch Buffet. Good and very tasty selection of food. Staff friendly and polite. Live music really added to the ambience. Would definitely recommend and dine there again. When booking make sure you book for the Sunday lunch option (if that’s what you want) and not just the bar. You need to scroll down to select it as an experience.
