Always love the Sheraton Hotel! I’ve been going there since the days of the Grill Room and looking forward to if and when the Sunday lunch buffet comes back.
The Sheraton is 5 Star without being pretentious. Keep up the good work!
Nice for a drink, just a shame the sun doesn’t actually shine on to the terrace which we had hoped for.
Being back at our favourite lunch venue in town with an old friend was fantastic!
Really felt like we were getting back to some sort of normal.
Thanks to Molly and team.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere ,comforatable seating, service was good & staff friendly.
Menu not available on website.
We had been to restaurant on previous occasions and assumed it would have been on similar lines to what we experienced previously.
Menu was no better than your average pub but pricing did not reflect this.
I understand the business is coming out of pandemic, but they should put up a notice on website that the brasserie is closed and the menu being offered is very limited.
Came away disappointed in the offering, and disappointed for the staff who surely can't be proud of what they are being asked to provide. Looked like no management in situ during our visit.
We went for drinks outside and it was not worth it. We left after 40 minutes! We looked at the menu and we weren’t very impressed by it. We ordered a draft beer and a gin and tonic, the beer wasn’t filled to the top and they poured my tonic in so all I could taste was tonic! There was no atmosphere, very flat feeling and very quiet outside. We felt like we couldn’t have a conversation and whenever we laughed you could see people looking round. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention to order more drinks and when ever some did come out they were just cleaning the tables and not looking to what was going on. When we did get someone’s attention they didn’t even get the full order! My boyfriend asked to some more drinks asked for a beer and the person walked off before I could ask for another gin. We waited about 10 minutes for a beer and it never came so ended up cancelling it and asking for the bill. Waited another 5 minutes for the bill then someone behind the came out and asked if we had cancelled mocktails. I said no we cancelled a beer and just wanted the bill. The staff member from behind the bar was very apologetic about the situation. A few members of staff were nice but we definitely didn’t feel welcome! I wouldn’t recommend to the Sheraton and I definitely won’t be back!
Really poor service for drinks celebrating my mother in law birthday, very disappointed with Gin & Tonic and very slow service. Shame as we have always liked the Sheraton
Really poor service for such a high end hotel bar. Staff would walk past and ignore you when trying to make eye contact to order drinks. Got told our booking had "expired" despite having several free tables available. Poor atmosphere, overall not impressed
Probably the worst experience we have had at One Square. Service was appalling and cocktails were just terrible. The Sheraton was always our go to hotel but we won’t be back
We ate in the bar, as covid meant the restaurant & brasserie were closed and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty and gorgeous all items we had from the menu were. The staff were all really pleasant and couldn’t do more to help us enjoy our evening meal.
Love the Sheraton Hotel been going there for years.
The burger was average especially compared to other restaurants.
Went for drinks and was really good, service was fairly good. Didn’t have food so wasn’t able to rate it properly. However overall great experience
Had a lovely time. Very efficient staff, a lovely atmosphere and good quality drinks and food. Limited vegetarian options (and nothing vegan available) but other than that, it was wonderful.
All ok but very limited menu. Service perfect. Terrace pretty chilly when sun went behind building.
Service friendly but not very attentive. Service seemed to be prioritised for customers drinking outside, not customers eating indoors.
We were there for a special birthday (50th).
The meal was nice but the Bao buns had a crispy crust and the salad was wilted which may suggest it was at the pass for too long.
We had to ask for our empty plates to be taken away 20 minutes after we had finished. We were not asked if we would like dessert or coffee/tea. We again had to ask for after dinner drinks. Milk was not given with the tea and tried to catch someones eye to get a jug, which was a challenge.
It was a shame as we were looking forward to it, but it was just okay.
Food was lovely had mussels best I have had staff were very attentive
Loved it! Heaters were not really detectable but it was a nice evening and I was forewarned! Service could be more frequent in a short sitting. Food wonderful as always.
Great service (our server Daniel was terrific) and the food was good.
We were outside and liked the screening so you weren't looking at the road. Drinks were a little expensive but nice.
Our main suggestion would be that heaters for the outdoor area would be really beneficial.
My visit to One Square bar and restaurant was very good. The covered outdoor area was comfortable. Staff cheerful, friendly and very welcoming.
Lovely staff, great food selection which was refreshing to see so many options for a pescatarian! Will definitely return.
Nice venue but despite pre booking there was not a table for us at our desired time
Food was excellent, service was as well. Highly recommend
Staff were lovely but waited over 1hr for our meal, ended up walking out due to the service being terrible!! Will not be back again, we are guests at the hotel also and will not be back here either.
The eating area inside was freezing. Could not remove our jackets and not the experience or ambience we were looking for so decided not to eat there as far too cold.
Room service menu only available in the bar no restaurant was open very poor for a 5* hotel
Lovely sitting on the terrace in spring sunshine. Partly sheltered and space heaters. Very attentive staff maitre d was really helpful in giving us a lovely table. Food good but the kitchen made a small error with order which was easily rectified but my guests then waited for me to get the replacement meal.
Didn’t spoil our visit at all and will come again
It was a lovely night. The staff had their hands full with some rude, pompous, entitled family who nearly ruined the night but thankfully they left and we was able to enjoy the night and the drinks were amazing
The food, staff and decor were excellent, however we were sitting inside and it was freezing. There were guests outside so the door was constantly being opened by staff serving them and the guests. The hotel needs to take this into account and up the heating for their indoor guests. We asked to move to a less crafty spot - the staff were acomodationg but we still had to sit wit our coats on inside!
Heaters could have been slightly better as the wind started to pick up. Also have more sheltering.
Overall was lovely and the staff were lovely. Took a bit of time to get out first round of drinks but after that it was great
Beer fish and chips great homemade tatrer sauce made the fish taste better
Heaters didn’t work well and no canopy for cover from the rain.
Love this place always a joy to eat in such lovely surroundings
A nice lunch and a good choice of menu. It’s an excellent ambience on a Sunday anyway and the staff are always friendly too.
The food was delicious and the staff were brilliant.
A good choice of dishes and good value. Not as nice as previous visits and dishes not cleared from our table promptly, we had to move some ourselves.
Restaurant was lovely and food was great. Service was a little slow but waitresses were very pleasant.
Only issue we had was the 18th birthday party that was in. The toilets were so full and noisy with young girls and we struggled to get a seat at the bar after dinner. On the whole the evening was lovely.
Buffet on Sunday until 2:30pm.I have been told by friends that used to be regulars on a Sunday afternoon that “One Square “seem to have cut back on the overall quality and the amount of choices available from the Buffet. The experience was reasonable, although choices for vegetarians is not great .Vegetable side dishes available are quite average and some are slightly warm. The sweets are probably the highlight. The overall service and first time experience was okay.
Warm welcome. Attentive service. Great food.
Ordered lobster and scallops and other food lobster was over £50 it was absolutely tiny 2 small bits meat in we sent it back not value for money thought it was total rip off rest food was lovely staff where lovely
