Again, had to eat in the bar as the hotel restaurant was closed for refurbishment. The fish and chip were excellent, and service was pleasant.
We booked a table for drinks before meeting up with friends and have to say what a great place to start our night out off. Lovely atmosphere and attentive but not overly attentive staff. Reasonably priced drinks made the experience even better. Would definitely return.
Had to eat in the bar as the hotel restaurant was closed for refurbishment. Food was generally OK and service pleasant.
Food, service and staff were all excellent, as could only be expected from The Sheraton. I have been there many times, however, have never sat out on The Terrace previously. It was lovely sitting out in the sun. Looking forward to going back to The Sheraton in the very near future and definitely hope to have a meal there over the festive period.
Really nice and welcoming staff. Will 100% be back again when we are back in Edinburgh
It may be better when the brasserie is open. If visiting before then best to avoid the tepid calarmari.
Really nice and relaxing, staff very good. some seating not ideal for eating a meal but ok for drinks. Avoid sitting near door to terrace, can be cold when people going in and out and cigarette smoke wafts in. Staff quick to close door when it's left open.
Based in the Sheridan Hotel, staff were really friendly and helpful, was very nice!
Made to feel very welcome and comfortable. We were allowed loads of time to choose our food and drinks, and service was very good - never hurried or intrusive. The food was delicious. I’ll certainly be going back again soon.
I really enjoyed my time here. I came to celebrate my birthday and the staff were so lovely and helpful. The food was delicious I will definitely be back!
Excellent food and environment. Well managed and great to repeat visit. Will certainly return and happy to recommend
Good service, attentive and helpful. Mains were good value
We ordered a sandwich and a few sides and it took 45 minutes to arrive. Must say the manager who came over to apologise was wonderful and went out of his way to help us. We’re going to try again in a few weeks when we go to their spa and hopefully we won’t be disappointed this time.
We arrived at the Sheraton for our long weekend and decided the One Square Restaurant would be the best dining option for us on our first evening. We were welcomed by a lovely gentleman who could not have been friendlier and ensured all of our requests were accommodated. He is a true asset to your team! Our servers (a younger girl, maybe 20’s, with blonde hair and a gentleman) were extremely helpful and were extremely attentive, always ensuring our glasses were full and we had exactly what we asked for.
The food was gorgeous, however I would say a little more menu options would be good and there wasn’t an awful lot on our plate for the amount we paid! That being said, it wouldn’t discourage us from returning. Overall, our experience was fabulous and it was a pleasure to dine with you.
Nice staff Good food
Menu is reduced, sad
Restaurant is closed due to the leaking, sad
Overall good experience
Great service (Thanks Molly) and delicious sandwiches - most enjoyable especially with the awful weather in Edinburgh
Always love the Sheraton Hotel! I’ve been going there since the days of the Grill Room and looking forward to if and when the Sunday lunch buffet comes back.
The Sheraton is 5 Star without being pretentious. Keep up the good work!
Nice for a drink, just a shame the sun doesn’t actually shine on to the terrace which we had hoped for.
Being back at our favourite lunch venue in town with an old friend was fantastic!
Really felt like we were getting back to some sort of normal.
Thanks to Molly and team.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere ,comforatable seating, service was good & staff friendly.
Menu not available on website.
We had been to restaurant on previous occasions and assumed it would have been on similar lines to what we experienced previously.
Menu was no better than your average pub but pricing did not reflect this.
I understand the business is coming out of pandemic, but they should put up a notice on website that the brasserie is closed and the menu being offered is very limited.
Came away disappointed in the offering, and disappointed for the staff who surely can't be proud of what they are being asked to provide. Looked like no management in situ during our visit.
We went for drinks outside and it was not worth it. We left after 40 minutes! We looked at the menu and we weren’t very impressed by it. We ordered a draft beer and a gin and tonic, the beer wasn’t filled to the top and they poured my tonic in so all I could taste was tonic! There was no atmosphere, very flat feeling and very quiet outside. We felt like we couldn’t have a conversation and whenever we laughed you could see people looking round. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention to order more drinks and when ever some did come out they were just cleaning the tables and not looking to what was going on. When we did get someone’s attention they didn’t even get the full order! My boyfriend asked to some more drinks asked for a beer and the person walked off before I could ask for another gin. We waited about 10 minutes for a beer and it never came so ended up cancelling it and asking for the bill. Waited another 5 minutes for the bill then someone behind the came out and asked if we had cancelled mocktails. I said no we cancelled a beer and just wanted the bill. The staff member from behind the bar was very apologetic about the situation. A few members of staff were nice but we definitely didn’t feel welcome! I wouldn’t recommend to the Sheraton and I definitely won’t be back!
Really poor service for drinks celebrating my mother in law birthday, very disappointed with Gin & Tonic and very slow service. Shame as we have always liked the Sheraton
Really poor service for such a high end hotel bar. Staff would walk past and ignore you when trying to make eye contact to order drinks. Got told our booking had "expired" despite having several free tables available. Poor atmosphere, overall not impressed
Probably the worst experience we have had at One Square. Service was appalling and cocktails were just terrible. The Sheraton was always our go to hotel but we won’t be back
We ate in the bar, as covid meant the restaurant & brasserie were closed and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty and gorgeous all items we had from the menu were. The staff were all really pleasant and couldn’t do more to help us enjoy our evening meal.
Love the Sheraton Hotel been going there for years.
The burger was average especially compared to other restaurants.
Went for drinks and was really good, service was fairly good. Didn’t have food so wasn’t able to rate it properly. However overall great experience
Had a lovely time. Very efficient staff, a lovely atmosphere and good quality drinks and food. Limited vegetarian options (and nothing vegan available) but other than that, it was wonderful.
All ok but very limited menu. Service perfect. Terrace pretty chilly when sun went behind building.
Service friendly but not very attentive. Service seemed to be prioritised for customers drinking outside, not customers eating indoors.
We were there for a special birthday (50th).
The meal was nice but the Bao buns had a crispy crust and the salad was wilted which may suggest it was at the pass for too long.
We had to ask for our empty plates to be taken away 20 minutes after we had finished. We were not asked if we would like dessert or coffee/tea. We again had to ask for after dinner drinks. Milk was not given with the tea and tried to catch someones eye to get a jug, which was a challenge.
It was a shame as we were looking forward to it, but it was just okay.
Food was lovely had mussels best I have had staff were very attentive
Loved it! Heaters were not really detectable but it was a nice evening and I was forewarned! Service could be more frequent in a short sitting. Food wonderful as always.
Great service (our server Daniel was terrific) and the food was good.
We were outside and liked the screening so you weren't looking at the road. Drinks were a little expensive but nice.
Our main suggestion would be that heaters for the outdoor area would be really beneficial.
My visit to One Square bar and restaurant was very good. The covered outdoor area was comfortable. Staff cheerful, friendly and very welcoming.
Lovely staff, great food selection which was refreshing to see so many options for a pescatarian! Will definitely return.
Nice venue but despite pre booking there was not a table for us at our desired time
Food was excellent, service was as well. Highly recommend
