Overrated foods +pricey valet parking, will not recommend any friends.
Good brunch! Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, but there was nothing truly amazing to secure a second visit. Worth going once!
Birthday dinner was great.
The food was on point. The squid, stone fruit salad, "suckling pig" were very inventive and memorable. The prawn toast and grilled bass was also very nice. However, the pace of the food was way too fast. This is an issue with the kitchen, not the serving staff, who were fine. That might be the style of this family-style sharing, but when 4 dishes came out within 10 minutes you ended up rushing, which is a shame as you want to enjoy the food and cocktails at a more leisure pace.
My ribeye was great and the sauce was unbelievable, dessert was out of this world and my drinks were to die for thanks so much.
Great mid city location. Food was delicious. A bit expensive. Service was great
Terrible service and food. I would not recommend to anyone.
They blast the music so loud its like being in a club at 12 in the afternoon - It's so loud you can't hear the person next to you - We had to shout at each other the whole time and felt nervous and stressed out. The overall cleanliness is bad. They use dirty rags to clean the table and spray the tables with a tiny quarter sized amount of liquid from a tiny little travel sized spray bottle and smear the dirty food left on the table around. The table smelled like old eggs and meat - It smelled so disgusting we wanted to gag. We asked a waiter to clean the table and he rolled his eyes and proceeded to spray two tiny quarter sized amounts of liquid on the table and smeared his dirty rag around the table, leaving it smelling worse. I wouldn't recommend coming here.
It was our first time there and we were seated at 950 am on a Sunday. It took 25 minutes for the waiter to take our food order. Little did we know we ended up with a different menu then the people sitting next to us. We kept seeing big plates of food come out and things that we hadn’t seen on our menu like chicken and waffles. I was surprised when our basic order arrived on small plates I thought maybe we would have a big plate too with potatoes or something. That’s when I questioned the waiter he said they all had the brunch menu which begin at 10am. I would have loved to order from the brunch menu at 1015 if it would have been offered including the mimosas. Disappointing.
Then we purchased a drink outside and they didn’t have change for a 20 and the drink was 15. I can see if we had handed them a 50 but a 20?
Then all the chairs were in the sun near the pool with all umbrellas closed and pushed to the edges of the wall. I had to ask someone to open them and move them twice. Eventually other people sat down and had to move their own umbrellas and even get their own menus by the pool. Disappointing again especially when I saw someone move the same footstool 8 times but didn’t think to open and move umbrellas on a hot day.
I was throughly confused by the whole place it felt as if they didn’t want to make money.
Greater waiter service, adequate but overpriced food, descent ambience
Not really happy about the service and tourism tax that was added to my bill, but overall happy with the food and the service.
Great service! Host and waitress were great. Decor and ambience was amazing
Had an early reservation on a Sunday to celebrate my birthday. I would definitely recommend Openaire, it is a must visit! Everything we tried was spectacular, including the drinks. We had the mushrooms, octopus, little gem salad, sweet corn agnolotti, sirloin, and suckling pig. We all had a rough time choosing our "bite of the night" because everything was so great. Service was excellent on its own, but our server also had the kitchen accommodate a faster than normal service because we needed to make a 7pm show at the Wiltern. Five stars all around! Can't wait for an excuse to return!
Openaire was great. Fun spot, nice attentive servers and really good unique dishes at a fair price.
We had a fantastic time! It has been a while since we had gotten dressed up to go out and Openaire’s breakfast was the perfect thing. Gorgeous, friendly, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, friendly and not overbearing. Overall we had a great time. We will absolutely be coming back.
It's definitely more trendy and loud than the pictures made it out to be. The appetizers were really delicious, but the main (the chicken) was a little bland. I was hoping for something a little more romantic and got something a little more Hollywood Saturday night. The prices were a little steep, but not crazy unreasonable. The service was great though!
Just take pictures and leave. Hostess was not helpful. Food over seasoned. Duck ragout was best but overall food was not good
Loved the steak and the French toast! The coconut chia was lacking flavor. Just so so.
Really enjoyed our meal and the overall experience. It was my wife and my wedding anniversary. The restaurant comped our desserts and a token gesture. Not necessary, but very generous and thoughtful.
We will be back.
Very great food and a gorgeous dining experience.
Went for brunch. Waiter was great and food was great. Food took a little bit longer but waiter apologized for the wait.
We all enjoyed the brunch.
Only issue. The woman who was seating us did not smile and was very unwelcoming. If I didn’t want to try the restaurant so much I would have left based on her ugly demeaner. She told my husband and I that she would not seat us until our whole party arrived. I had to ask to be seated as one of the party was late. She seemed to be put off about this. All other staff were super friendly.
Food was good and drinks were good but service was lacking. Had to wave down our server several times to get his attention as he did not come back to check on us very often. There was a huge mixup with the bill and we were significantly overcharged by over $65! When we brought it to the attention of our server, he actually had the nerve to give us attitude and blamed us for the mistake. That was completely unacceptable. Had he just admitted that he made a mistake, apologized and fixed it, we would have left happy. But since he decided to have an attitude and blame us for his mistake, we left upset and won't ever be returning.
Everything was great! However, there was just one complaint from my two female friends. They both complained of the ladies room smelling like sh*t, when walking in upon arrival to touch up on make up!
Both the food and the service was outstanding!
It was the birthday dinner with friends. We all are the September babies:) Staffs are so nice and friendly. Foods were good too.
Awful service, waited over 1.5 hours for our meals when tables of 6 who came after us got their meals before us. They still made us pay for our coffee which is laughable given the terrible service we had
I had been here before for drinks and enjoyed the ambiance. However, the experience with the host staff will make it so that I will not return or recommend to anyone. Fabian and the other hostess would not seat our party, which included a woman who is 8 months pregnant, because we were missing one member (who had been lost in an Uber). I understand that there is a policy, but this seemed unreasonable and then also the way it was handled was so rude - there was no acknowledgement of this being slightly ridiculous and the haughty, self-important tone of the staff was such a turn off for the whole evening. I recommend going somewhere else which has better customer oriented service.
I had higher expectations. I asked for a table for 6 (it was a business meeting and we had private matters to discuss) and was seated at a long family style table in the middle of the restaurant that we shared with other diners. It was quite loud and quite hot. (My legs stuck to the seat I was sweating so much!) The food was good, albeit small portions. I got grilled cheese and one side of the bread was completely black so that was disappointing. But it is a beautiful space and the service was great.
Loved this place very much !!!! Everyone is super nice and attentive with everyone 💕
Great food, atmosphere, and service. Can't wait to come back here soon and sample more of the menu.
Had a great brunch experience here!
The food was great - aesthetically pleasing while remaining delicious!
The ambiance is amazing, it’s like a greenhouse with marble accents. Very much a vibe.
But the best part was the service. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, no attitudes, and that made all the difference. It just felt welcoming!
I would definitely recommend and I will be back very soon!
Our server is my new spirit animal 💃🏻
I went there for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was great, although they were a bit slow at times on the food. Genuinely one of the best meals i’ve ever had (we both had the short rib), and the view was breathtaking. I will definitely be back.
The only thing I would add is they have TAP water if you ask for it. We weren’t given the option and paid $10 for water, which irked me. They should be upfront when asking if you want sparkling or still water. The restaurant I work at offers both and it’s complementary. So, when they asked what kind of water we would like, we had no idea that we were going to be charged $10.
servers are so nice and kind. atmosphere is cozy. the food is also great but felt a bit salty. if you like mild, ask them in advance.
Made reservations for noon on a holiday weekend. Arrived to check-in and was told I didn’t have reservations. Showed the reservation on my phone, and was told ok, it would be a few minutes. After about 15 minutes, asked how much longer before being seated after overhearing the hostess tell newly arriving guests that the wait would be 1-2 hours. I was then told my entire party had to be here (which all 4 of us were), and that we had to have arrived within 15 minutes of our reservation (which we did when I initially checked in 15 minutes ago). So all of that was weird, and it was a busy afternoon, but I felt the service and care could’ve been better.
Soon after, we were seated. I did request indoors, but were seated outside instead. We would’ve waited longer for an indoor table to open, but was not given that option.
Aside from the meh interactions with the hostesses, our server Brie was delightful and offered kind and attentive care and recommendations (5 stars for her!). The food was okay. The kitchen forgot one of our orders. So the overall experience and food was not worth it for me. Which is too bad, bc the space really is so beautiful.
The other inconsistent thing is that on Open Table, it appears that reservations are available every 15 minutes -always. But when you arrive without a reservation, there’s a 1-2 hour wait?! This makes no sense and should be aligned.
Disappointed in the service received ( or lack there of ). However, willing visit again in the hopes of a better experience.
Lovely environment. Happy place, good food, very good service.
Great place to go. Also server we had (I believe her name was Olivia) was wonderful. Overall the food was great but I think my only complaint was that the waffle was a little dry compared to the french toast (which was amazing)
Wondaful! Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.
