   We dined at Opheem for a birthday celebration last week. The food was incredible and was nothing like what I’ve had at other Michelin establishments. I had a constant tingle of spice throughout the event. What tainted the experience was finding hair in the food which was barely acknowledged when raised with staff.

   Out of this world food. Wonderful service all evening Shout to the sommelier not only for brilliant wine that matched so perfectly with the food but also his expert knowledge. Can’t wait to return again!

    Wow wow wow can’t believe we have left it this long to visit Opheem , from the moment you arrive you are treated like a special guest and the service is top notch . The food was superb , beautifully presented and exquisite tastes . We had the 10 course menu and with all the pre nibbles and after treats I struggled to finish so my fudge etc was boxed up . The service from the staff is the best we’ve ever experienced in Birmingham , it is expensive but for a special occasion or purely to cheer yourself up after a hard week Opheem is worth every penny .

    Fantastic experience. The food was out of this world and the service equal to that! Each course had so much thought put into it, with quality ingredients and described perfectly. Each and every course blew our minds!

    A wonderful meal. The service is excellent but the star of the show is the food. We had the 5 course tasting menu and every course was amazing. The potato course in particular is life changing! We will definitely be back for the 8 course menu!

    A fantastic experience! The food, service and ambiance were all exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed every course and the entire experience. We’ve eaten at numerous Michelin Star restaurants and Opheem has gone straight into our top 3.

    It would have been a perfect evening, but Aktar served a dish to every table but ours (some tables 3 times), leaving us feeling singled out as not welcome. A real shame, as it was his personality and warmth that encouraged us to make the investment in the evening. I am not sure what we did to deserve the exclusion, but it was upsetting and put a huge downer on a special birthday celebration.

    The food was delicious but way too much. We had the 10 course taster menu but it actually turned out to be about 18 courses if you count the elements . We started off downstairs , had a drink and small tasters began to arrive (5 of them each) they were lovely. Then we went upstairs to the restaurant for table service we didn’t get an opportunity to order wine before the first 2 course’s had arrived, it might have been a better idea to let people peruse the wine list downstairs. The food was wonderful, service was good but came across a little disjointed having numerous servers, we didn’t feel we could build up a rapport because they were so busy. Back downstairs for final drinks and petits fours (again 5 each) which we couldn’t finish unfortunately. We would definitely recommend and if we get the opportunity we would return but possibly for a smaller taster menu or lunch.

    Super super nice. Had a 3 course lunch menu great value .. you get another 3 taster dishes too. Came out full. Food was beautifully presented and flavoursome .. open kitchen looked great. Would deffo go again for the full menu

    Just amazing, perfect place to celebrate anything. The open kitchen is an added bonus to watch the team work in a calm environment. Aktar served us a course at the table which was a lovely touch. Thank you for everything.

    Wow !!! Honestly the best tasting menu I think we’ve ever eaten…. Problem these days is fine dining is so saturated with the same stuff but having a culinary masterclass with spices is exactly what Birmingham needed ….. I can still taste the warmth of that tomato dish and those potatoes ….. both humble ingredients but treated with a genius chefs idea and transitional techniques bought into the 21st century. Love the journey love the food … what a place … best food in Birmingham without fail and I’m struggling to think of anywhere that tops this experience ……. Highly recommended you will not be disappointed.

    Excellent from start to finish. Nice relaxed ambience, visually stunning and amazing food throughout, lots of little extra delights. Great to be able to see the open kitchen, with the head chef helping with service for all tables too.

    Absolutely stunning from start to finish. From the first little amuse bouche to the petit fours, everything was creative, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Who knew corn or potato could be the star of a course?! The chefs are highly skilled. Waiting staff were also friendly and attentive, we had a really fantastic time and will definitely be back.
