main course took 50 mins was luke warm but overcooked. Sent it back. Replacement took another 50 mins. My two pals meals were wrong order and arrived after an hour. Theirs were overcooked but so hungry they ate them. Then another main course arrived for me! Which was inedible. Staff were embarrassed and apologised. Management offered more drinks and then, when realized we were local and not tourists, there was no bill to pay. When I got home I had to get to toilet very quickly. I wouldn't eat there again.

Booked this as a birthday meal for my partner before attending concert in Oran Mor .Standard of food was very poor for prices charged The starter of pear and blue cheese had no blue cheese, looked like it had been thrown on plate with pile of stalks/leaves and the Tuille was like rubber!Poor choice for vegetarians Aubergine cannelloni looked like plate of mush, we waited 40min for dessert which never arrived, eventually gave up as had to leave for the concert .Staff member very apologetic and pleasant think and offered to deduct starter I think there’s was a problem in kitchen….no chef on duty maybe!!poor presentation and sloppy looking food. On a positive note the fillet steak my partner had was very good he said.Overall very disappointing won’t be back anytime soon..and spoiled what should have been a special evening.

Tiny overpriced portions. Main was cooked wrong, brought the wrong pudding. The server couldn't have been better it was just the food that wasn't up to scratch for the price.

I got a hair in my pork and the chef said it wasn’t a hair it was a piece of burnt cheese and refused to cook me a new one and offered me the dish back. My wife & I both disagree with the chef it was 100% a hair therefore I refused to take it back. They didn’t charge me for the meal I didn’t eat but it was to late to book somewhere else on a Friday night at 8pm so I got a meal deal from Tesco & ate it on the train home. Wedding anniversary ruined.

Steak undercooked and cold, sent back and came back the same. Desserts were offered on the house but took half an hour to arrive, and we were then told we had to move to the bar as the restaurant was closing! Waitress was lovely but let down by kitchen.

Good atmosphere and great service meant we had a great night. Scallops, beef and pork were all excellent. One minor thing would be the bread rolls, they tasted a bit like reheated frozen ones. It's the perfect place to start the evening when going to one of the gigs downstairs. We'll definitely go back.

Oran Mor is a great venue and I have enjoyed many good meals there. However, this team I booked the Brasserie with three friends. When we arrived we were shown into a completely empty brasserie which was odd as I could not get a table in many other restaurants that day. The food was a complete let down and I was so embarrased to have taken my American visitors there. I had the 'pigeon breast' (£6.95) starter which was two very thin pieces of a leather like material. It was barely edible and clearly had been in the freezer for a very long time before being ridiculously overcooked. Never mind I thought, the Monkfish main (£17.95) would be nice. All the gubbins that came with the fish were fine but again the fish had been seriously overcooked and was very dry. My wife ordered the Beetroot Carpaccio and Goats Cheese starter (£6.50) but what was brought to the table was not that. When queried with the waitress, she admitted that she did not know what it was and returned it to the kitchen. She then brought out the goat's cheese dish featured goat's cheese souffle which was frozen SOLID. Wy wife gave up on the starter but was compensated with a complimentary glass of wine. The other two meals were not great either and I understand that time have been and currently are still tough for restaurants. However, if Oran Mor continues to serve food of this standard, times will become even tougher (maybe as tough as their 'pigeon breast').

Saturday dinner out with my sister. We were in brasserie from 5pm. Only people in, weirdly quiet. We asked if we could sit in a booth, but told no, as they were booked (by the time we left only one other couple arrived). Food is tasty though and you'll always get a table as very few customers!

Ate in the brassiere, time to be waited was slow, waiter was unsure of menu options, once starter came I had to then ask for a spoon I order to eat, which took its time to come to my table which furthered to my disappointment. Food was standard on timing, service and taste considering the pricing. Asked for a drinks menu/whisky listings and told they didn’t have it do it, which was a surprise for a place like Óran Mòr. All in all when paying £££ for two you expect a better standard and service. I will eat here again in order to be fair and see if I can experience a better service and ambiance, though my experience and memory of this occasion will be remembered.
