Origins at The White Lion Ratings and Reviews
From the moment we walked in, actually the door was opened for us and we were ushered in and welcomed by a very charming man (also taking our coats - I'm sure he would have parked the car if we'd asked!). The table was reserved and drinks brought speedily, with knowledgeable interaction with the bar staff about the drink choices. Food was delicious, beautifully served and presented. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Made booking to celebrate daughter's birthday. It was busy and "buzzing", but the service was efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious - best tapas I've ever eaten! Not cheap but you really do get what you pay for. Would definitely go again...and again 😉
Incredible! This was our first time eating here after being recommended by a friend and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked & flavoursome. Friendly staff who were very conscientious without being overbearing and checking on you every 2 minutes. I would recommend the Morrocan lamb & deep fried scallops, amazing!!
It's time dining there and although it wasn't very busy we managed to stay from 6.30 to 8.30 which is great as we prefer to eat out in the week as weekends can be busy and impersonal the food was presented well and tasted great, cocktails were 2 4 1 on Tuesday
Had tapas and much wine on Valentine's Day, despite being understandably busy, the service was quick and even when the wine arrived a little later than desired, the staff were extremely friendly and apologetic which is refreshing.
Fairly pricey but you do get what you pay for, all the wines and cocktails are both delicious and high end, the tapas selection is good and rather exotic - if anywhere within a 10 mile radius this place is a must-try.
This was our second visit for lunchtime tapas and we were just as pleased with the second visit except that we sat at a table in the dark side of the restaurant, but the first time we sat at the bar, and that is where we will prefer to sit on future visits.
Lovely meal here again this week. Food is fabulous, great variety and caters well for vegetarians which both my daughters are. Staff really friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Went on a Monday which was quite quiet as opposed to Thursday, Friday and Saturdays when it is always packed, which was nice and relaxing.
Always a pleasure to come to Origins, the service is excellent, the food arrived quickly and was
of the usual high standard. we usually get a mix of fish, meat, poultry and veggie and even found room for dessert this time (try the sushi pancakes and the cheesecake)
Tapas style menu but not traditional Spanish. Lots of great dishes including Chicken Gyoza, Tempura Vegetables, Soft Shell Crab, Grilled Scallops and Morrocan Lamb. You need to experiment to suit your taste. Also the mixed sweet platter is excellent. Enjoy......
