Such an outstanding lunch. The attention to detail is sublime and every mouthful was totally delicious.
I had yellowtail ceviche as a starter, my husband chose risotto. I had black cod for my main course and my husband had sea bass. All four dishes were delicious but for me the star was the ceviche !
I would recommend anyone interested in fine food to make a booking.
Wow....hands down the most wonderful dining experience we have ever had!
Head Chef Kerth Gumbs tasting menu was the most beautiful story telling told through the art of food! 10/10
Would go back in a heartbeat. Can’t even describe how amazing the food was!! 🙌🏼
Brilliant food and service. I would highly recommend
Fantastic food and a wonderful evening. Kerth Gumbs is an amazing talent and we hope we can come back again soon, particularly after trying his amazing GBM dishes!
Our second visit and so we returned to try the Tasting Menu by Great British Menu Finalist Kerth Gumbs. Amazing!! Really enjoyed each course but the highlight was 'Commotion in the Ocean" which was sublime. Lobster, coconut, cauliflower and cookles. Mouthwatering combination skillfully crafted to produce a plate of excellence for me!!
Only criticism, the pork loin in the meat dish was tough (sadly couldn't eat it) and although we choose the wine pairing to go with the food we felt a glass of fizz at the beginning of the meal was lacking and could have been offered as a gesture. (after all we were spending a lot of money!!)
We’ve been or Ormer in Jersey (which is phenomenal) and came with high expectations. The bar is great, nice little library or snug feel in the lower ground floor of the Flemings Hotel. The barman is also very creative and very attentive.
But the restaurant is a little bland in comparison to other premium restaurants in Mayfair - it’s nice enough - but it’s very expensive for the decor and very expensive for the quality of food.
I really enjoyed my venison but the crab starter was bland and my wife’s lamb dish was under seasoned and under cooked. The vegetables were also very much “ready meal” quality - mushrooms too salty, broccoli and yogurt bland and an odd combo and new potatoes in what tasted like mayonnaise was also odd.
A real shame because we really, really loved Ormer in Jersey where the ambiance, staff and food were just next level. The Mayfair piece just doesn’t come close, to Jersey or to others in the area.
Service from the whole team was brilliant from Agnieszka, her service team, and the brilliant sommelier Svet. Kerth Gumbs GBM tasting menu was incredible from start to finish. A real treat night out
Lunch for two and a shared Cote de Boeuf was outstanding. Food, service and price point strong. Clearly we were one of just two tables in a lovely, large room which meant low ambience, but staff couldn't have tried harder. Nice amuse bouches too!
The Great British Menu Tasting Menu is fantastic
Fantastic service, great food and wine.
Restaurant was empty when we arrived as music was fairly low so was a bit weird trying to speak to each other as staff would have been able to hear our conversation. Once other guests arrived was more comfortable.
Bread at the start was fairly hard, but the rest of the food compensated. Yellow tail cevice was incredible! And presentation was beautiful.
Very kind and welcoming staff, thank you.
Would definitely go back to celebrate another anniversary and would recommend.
We love The Omer, it’s our 4th time going, can’t fault it, and as it was my daughters birthday, she received a card, signed by everyone, also a side plate with truffles, and candle, plus happy birthday written in Chocolate, and the head chef came out and wished her happy birthday,
We will continue to return time and again
We were a table of six for the GBM tasting experience. The service was attentive friendly and efficient without being over the top. We had a private area which elevate the sense of a catered dinner party. The real star was the food! Innovative, visually stunning, well balanced plates that was at another level vs many tasting menus. Add to that the lovely surroundings and the finishing touch of the Chef coming to serve the pre dessert personally making it overall a winner.
The tasting menu at Ormer was out of this world
the presentation was exquisite
the flavours of the food were glorious the service as always was immaculate what a lovely meal out
A truly magical experience. The Head Chef, Kerth Gumbs, has created an amazing menu, innovative presentation and flavour combinations.
I don’t hesitate to recommend a trip to Ormer. Especially now when our restaurant trade needs supporting.
Food and service fantastic. A little quiet - but this was midweek and unfortunately a reflection of the current environment, and this did not spoil our enjoyment at all. Highly recommend.
I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Ormer. The food is magnificent and the welcome we received was incredibly warm. Kerth himself made time for us and other guests. He was a big draw for all of us and made my son’s day by stopping to talk to us about the food, and life. The food itself is beyond delicious, uniquely inventive yet somehow classical. The waiting staff were so kind, so attentive and we cannot wait to go back to try Kerth’s latest creations!!
We've been to the Ormer many times before and, as before, it didn't disappoint. We love the food and the attention, they remembered us from before, but we were the only diners for lunch so the ambiance was quiet! They said that they were full for the evening.
The food at Ormer is truly excellent. The dishes are beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service is excellent too. We would have no hesitation recommending Ormer as a place to go for a relaxing dinner.
Ormer at Fleming’s Hotel on Half Moon Street is heavenly.
In these times the tables were spaced out perfectly for socially distancing.
The staff are delightful and perfectly attentive and were wearing masks and visors.
The food was stunning. Bursting with different flavours.
Sharing Cote de Boeuf was a delight
The fennel meringues and Black Forest Trifle titillated our tastebuds.
My first meal out after lockdown and what a joy.
Delicious food. Extremely courteous and knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend.
An amazing dining experience and excited to speak to head chef Kerth our great British Menu champio
Incredible flavours all round especially the Heritage Tomato starter.
We really enjoyed Ormer. From the amazing service and thoughtfulness of the staff, the ambience of the restaurant, to the beautifully presented and delicious food. The time between courses was perfect, we did not feel rushed. The staff surprised us with a birthday dessert, and even sang for us. We will definitely be returning in the future!
Superb food well delivered by excellent waiting staff.
It is still quiet in London, which is nice in someways & strange in others.
Service was good, the food had lovely flavours throughout.
We were so looking forward to try this restaurant so we booked for my birthday. We arrived at 8pm and there were only 3 other occupied tables. They reserved us a nice round table in the corner and had a birthday wish card on the table which it was a lovely touch. I’m not going to comment on the ambiance which there was none but we realised later that central London was like a ghost town. In regards to the food we can only describe as mediocre nothing to write home about. We had to ask for the bread which they apologised saying it was in the oven still when they brought to us it was burned but we just ate didn’t want to make a fuss as it was my birthday. We wouldn’t recommend nor go back unfortunately.
We received a very warm welcome from the manager and she explained the new procedures in place due to Covid. The dishes were visually stunning and the taste didn’t disappoint us. We all had three courses and a delicious bottle of rose wine. The service was exceptional especially from the restaurant manager and the sommelier. If you’re after something special I’d definitely recommend Ormer.
The staff was very helpful; it was really quite as well.
Ormer as always exceptional. Food was great and wonderful to be back.
It was perfect. The food and noise was excellent. I highly recommend it. It has a good value.
This is a must visit restaurant before too many people get to know about it.
Superb all round.
Our favourite.
Everything was amazing except the deserts. We had apple crumble and tart
Good to be back very good food excellent service
So good to be back here and it ALMOST felt the way it did before! Food and staff are as wonderful as ever and everyone is working so hard to give people the best possible experience. This is our favourite London restaurant and I can't recommend it highly enough :-)
Ormer is a first class restaurant and it was a real pleasure to return after lockdown. The service was excellent and the food as good as ever (particularly the dover sole), although the menu has been slightly pared back from what was on offer in March. I will certainly go again.
Fantastic Service, all compliant with Covid regulations. Great menu. Delicious food. We had a great time
The food, especially desserts, was very good. The place feels a little old fashioned but i do recommend for a special occasion. The chef is so nice!
Consistently great value, food and service
Great food and staff!! I would not hesitate to come back.
