    The food was outstanding! Service great! Limited choice of wine and not very common wine. Only one suggestion; at one course we already got the food but the sommelier was not in time to provide us with a new glass of wine. Overall was his work great and he was funny. Amazing evening with very tasteful great food!

    A really fabulous evening, we started with cocktails in the bar which were superb Bartender & waiter’s extremely friendly really enjoyed how attentive they were. Our tasting menu & wine flight were exquisite we absolutely loved each course. My favourite of all was Guinea Fowl sheer perfection & sublime flavour… If we were to criticise it would be just to slow down the meal some courses we felt came out too quickly… Sommelier’s knowledge was second to none explained wines with history attached to some of them, great guy. We were lucky enough to visit the kitchen & meet staff as well as Sofian the chef… what a guy .. humble & so sweet made us so welcome. We will return as too good not too..

    A special place for a special occasion dinner. The tasting menu is inventive and playful but what really sets the experience apart is the service. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The sommelier was lovely and helpful and the waiters gave interesting background on each dish that complemented our enjoyment. Thanks to whole staff for a great birthday dinner!

    Always fabulously executed dishes, great portion size for a tasting menu. Always creative and on point. Front of House team are sensational, personable, yet professional and so knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine and the guests dining experience. I always feel like Ormer is an unsung hero and I cannot fathom why it doesn’t hold a Michelin star, it is far better than a lot of 1 Michelin starred restaurants I frequent.

    We had the Tasting menu with the Signature wine pairing. Absolutely amazing creations. The presentation, the flavours, the textures… best experience we’ve ever had. Definitely should be a candidate for Michelin stars.

    We celebrated my partner's birthday at Ormer and we loved the experience. The place is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere a retro vibe from the 40s, with lighting and decoration carefully thought of and designed. We had a five course menu paired with wine, the food was excellent with a special mention for the mackerel and the lamb, exquisite flavours and textures made in heaven. As for the wine pairing menu, the choices were clearly made to put all the lights on the food with a good balance of classics and less known wines. I really enjoyed it and on a next visit, I'd love to see some more bolder options. The portuguese vinho verde, from the Loureiro grape and the Pouilly-Fumé wouldbe great additions :-) At last but certainly not the least, the service is exceptional. Friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive the team has my five 🌟

    Not cheap at all but this place is 'something else': no a la carte, only a variety of Tasting Menus. Service spot on at all times. Terrific wines and the sommelier is very adept at recommending things if you discuss with him. I had an Alsace Pinot Gris and Riesling and a Canadian Ice Wine, all fantastic. The portions look small but it is a multi-course tasing menu and I guarantee you will feel 'duly replete' by the end. The flavours are exquisite. In Flemings Hotel in Mayfair: a fascinating area to walk round before or after your meal.

    A very pleasurable evening enjoying the tasting menu with the wine pairing. We did not choose for the premium wine pairing because we were convince the standard pairing would already be splendid. And we were not disappointed. The very knowledgeable sommelier was entertaining and informative which definitely added to the entire dining experience. The food was exquisite: refined, innovative with portions of exactly the right size. We loved every minute of it and can really recommend Ormer as a great place to wine and dine. It's actually remarkable this restaurant does not have a Michelin star: the food was surely up to the standard in our opinion.

    I had the pleasure of dining at Ormer Mayfair restaurant recently, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and genuine welcome that immediately set the tone for the evening. The attentiveness of the waitstaff was truly outstanding. We chose the 8-course taster menu which was a great decision. The presentation of the food was excellent, and the attention to detail was evident in every plate, showcasing the chef's dedication to their craft. The flavors that followed the stunning presentation were superb. As a vegetarian who cannot eat cheese, I was pleased by the restaurant's ability to accommodate my dietary needs without compromising on taste. Overall, my experience at Ormer Mayfair was nothing short of wonderful. The combination of the warm welcome, impeccable service, artistically presented and delicious food, and the ability to accommodate my dietary preferences made it a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend the 8-course taster menu – it's a culinary journey that's worth embarking on.     The food and service was brilliant. You can see why it’s in the Michelin guide and I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t get a star! Only negative was the sommeliers arguing with eachother.

    We had our best meal ever at Ormer recently. The tasting menu was absolutely perfect, especially with the wine pairing. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Our dietary restrictions due to coeliac disease were accommodated very professionally. We have dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants internationally and felt that our experience at Ormer was superior. What an absolute gem!

    I took my dad as a belated Christmas present, we had the 6 course taster menu with a glass of champagne. My dad doesn’t like white wine so the staff were only too happy to offer a glass of red. The food was amazing and the staff explained every course we had. I really cannot recommend this more, it was a fantastic evening!

    My husband & I like to plan our holidays and short breaks around Michelin starred restaurants. To celebrate our wedding anniversary last night we went to the Ormer Mayfair restaurant in Mayfair London. No stars but has otherwise good write ups. The tasting menu was sublime. Amazing food - their Roast Rack of Cumbrian Lamb was probably the best lamb dish I have ever tasted. The service was exceptional - professional & friendly. The wine pairing was to rival any top restaurant plus the addition of a very knowledgeable head Sommelier. I have taken the unusual step of recommending them to the Michelin team for one (or more!) of their coveted stars!

    This restaurant only does the tasting menu, that was OK for me as I wanted the dining experience, but it does not suit everybody and this was reflected in the fact that there were only 4 of us in the restaurant. OK its a Tuesday night but still. The food was excellent, the dishes a combination of flavours. Its supposed to be about British ingredients, but there was Iberico ham jelly (delicious but Spanish) Anjou pigeon takes centre stage (delicious but French), Orkney Scallop with Amalfi lemon, British spring veg with Sicilian tomato consumme, nice cheeseboard but only 2 ex 12 British cheeses. I enjoyed the food, it was excellent, but don't say its all about British ingredients if you choose (correctly in my opinion) to draw on flavours and ingredients from around the world. Staff were very helpful and attentive. But staff outnumbered guests 2 to 1. What really let the place down was the atmosphere, too clinical. Its a shame because the food was very good, but I think you need to change the model as this can't be making any money if your price per cover is so high it is putting off most people.

    As fine dining and a tasting menu goes, this is right up there. The food was exquisite, as was the wine flight paring. The service was you would expect, on point. If you like the finer things in life, and tasting menus, you cannot go wrong with what is on offer here.

    What a pity you can't leave more than a 5 star review. We had dined previously at Ormer and the staff recognised us and spent time having a good conversation. We had some dietry requirements and the chef made the necessary changes. Can't wait to find an excuse to go back.
