Daniel the waiter from Seville was wonderful. So friendly welcoming food amazing surroundings spectacular
The hotel is stunning and the service was excellent. The food was terrible. Bland and over cooked in a microwave, minimum portions so we went next door and had pizza express. Menu for lunch was very limited. Would not go back to eat again.
I'd recommend Oscar, but with reservations. The room is lovely but the music too loud and too clubby, especially for a Sunday evening when I went. something more relaxing would have been preferable. Also the food is a bit, 'meh' and not terribly good value for money. Oscar's menu needs an upgrade!
I love this place!
Great eclectic restaurant in central London. Well worth a visit
Great attentive, discrete service from the entire team including door and reception team members. Thank you for a special experience.
We had a lovely time. The venue is vibrant but laid back, food is lovely and wholesome. Overall the service was great, friendly staff but I had to mark it down because an item was left off our order and 1-2 other details missed. This did not taint the overall experience as the staff were very warm and helpful and the whole brunch was very enjoyable. We will definitely go back.
Lovely place to eat, attentive staff, breakfast as you would expect
Food was amazing and staff were really good.Would definitely recommend!
Love this restaurant - such a great atmosphere. Food and service excellent. Great place to meet up with friends for a long overdue catch up.
Oscar restaurant is a lovely place for a date night and also if you want to meet a company of friends. I celebrated my Birthday there and it was one of the greatest experience I have ever had. The staff was friendly and was very helpful for every single request. It is not the first time I spend significant days of my life in this restaurant and definitely will come there again and again.
Thank you for Oscar Restaurant to make my special day very memorable.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere for a chilled brunch. Food delicious and the weekend brunch deal with a glass of prosecco really good value. Loved it!
Great food and service. Looking forward to coming back.
Great cocktails and the menu has changed since I last came in October. It’s worth booking a table if you want a drink as it gets very busy on a Friday night.
I had to give the food a rating to upload this review, even though I didn’t eat. So ignore that part !
Lovely ambience and great service. Salmon was over cooked though ... I’m sure just a one-off.
service is always good my only criticism was the eggs Benedict muffin bases were tiny -literally 2 mouthfuls at most for each one! My guests food was fine on that front!
Had the set menu with complimentary glass of wine. Service was excellent along with excellent menu choice. This is a lovely establishment and a credit to Firmdale hotels. We will be going again.
Great night. Great service. Great restaurant. Lovely area
Really nice waiting staff - good food. The bar area was busy, the restaurant area was quiet, although we did eat early.
There was a male staff, has had no idea of set menu, drinks menu, or soup of the day....
And we got a table face to the kitchen door even the restaurant was quite empty.
Not good value in terms of food quality / price/ service / environment.
Staff was super friendly . Asked occasionally if we needed something .
Prijs kwaliteit niet heel optimaal. Het smaakt ansich wel maar voorgerechten zijn prijzig en weinig creativiteit. Hoofdgerechten zijn redelijk tot goed. Wijnkaart ok. Persoon die gerechten serveerde kwam moe over, overig personeel ok
The place is really pretty from the outside. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was nice.
It was a more noisy than we expected, the people were very loud and it did make the dining experience a little less enjoyable. We could not hear each other at all!
We had lunch at Oscar on a Saturday at 1:30pm. Not too busy at that time. After asking, very politely, they changed our table, as we weren't very happy seating near the kitchen. The service although good, we felt it was rushed e.g. waiter made mistake still vs sparkling water; I hadn't finished my starter (my husband had), and they came very quickly to clear the plates; water been poured ever so often, always asking how's everything - it's too much.. when you try to have a conversation or you mouth is full. In terms of food quality, starters were okay (scallops and gnocchi) - nothing exquisite, also a bit tasteless. In terms of mains, I had the pancetta pasta, which was OK nothing magical; My husband had the steak but doesn't come with any sides - quality of meat cut was fantastic, but the fact that you end paying nearly £45 for a steak and chips is a bit of a let down. Overall, it's a beautiful space to eat, but we wouldn't go again.
Oscar proved to be a terrific find
Inside The Charlotte Street Hotel there is a lively atmosphere with the restaurant open to the bar.
The offer made it excellent VFM
Service was great, food delicious - definitely recommend
Always a great time at the Charlotte Street Hotel, faultless.
I really like this spot. Nice and buzzy without being too loud. Food was lovely and service was good. Will be back again for sure.
Only issue was lost order and a little staff bickering about it.. just wanted the drinks 😉 but overall lovely
Great location and ambience, I had a business meeting here before a business lunch. Other people liked their food, mine was not so good. Seafood pasta with crab and prawn, the crab was so mushed in as to indistinguishable, very few prawns and the whole dish tasted sweet. A colleague had a Caesar salad with chicken however which looked amazing and came with a whole chicken breast.
We went for brunch. The staff were very friendly and vibe was great. Service a little slow but fine if you’re not rushed. Breakfast was lovely but the fried eggs were hard and the poached eggs were a bit cold. However, that aside the food was fantastic and we will definitely go back.
Alway the perfect place for a business breakfast or lunch, good service, lovely surrounding and efficient. Also guaranteed to have good food.
food was so tasty and the service was quick.
staff were attentive and friendly
My wife and I had dinner here after traveling in from the states and enjoyed the artistic and cozy setting of the restaurant. There was a lively crowd in the bar but not too noisy. The menu has a good selection of healthy options and we enjoyed the halibut and sea bass. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing cocktails and lovely staff. Recommended
Lovely setting for a lunch catch up. Food was very tasty and service was very good. All round enjoyable experience.
Popped in for an evening to watch the World Cup in a relaxed female friendly atmosphere . Great front of house manager who made everyone welcome and worked the room chatting and checking orders . We ended up eating small plates in the bar . Great evening
All good. Great food. Great place. Great service. Great location.
Lovely room and attentive staff. They even brought us a little birthday tribute with a candle.
It was all very enjoyable
The restaurant has a nice buzz, is light and pleasant. The food and wine is good and dependable. Service was light touch and friendly.
